"Fine," Giddykit snorted. He didn't want to talk about the Warrior Code, but he didn't have much of a choice. He made up in his mine that he was leaving the Clans as soon as he was old enough. He'd join Bane and his ruthless minions. Then again, he might make a group of his own. Though he was quiet, Giddykit wasn't paying attention to the Leaders. Ripplepaw and leaving the Clans was on his mind for the rest of the night.

Trillium watched halfheartedly as the gathering dragged on. An immature voice inside her mind was urging her to say something about it, but she was able to restrain it. Trying to find a way to quench her brain's need for activity, she observed her apprentice as she spoke with a Treeclan kit. It was really quite entertaining, the way the kits were interacting, but as soon as the young kit was told off, and he began to insult the Warrior Code, Trillium had her suspicions. He seemed an unruly young fellow. 'I'll have to speak with Ripplepaw after the meeting, I suppose,' she thought as she curled her tail around her forepaws.
Maplepaw was a tolerable cat by nature, but Giddykit was really starting to get on his nerves. Hopefully Blackheart would keep him under harsher control as soon as they got back to camp. Sunpelt was doing a rather nice job of it at the moment, though. The young tom turned to Onyxpelt and smiled, as he knew that they were both sharing the same irritation at the kit.
(Hmm...apparently Amberstar is without computer access, from what I've heard. What to do?

Giddykit didn't find anything amusing. He was tired of the Warrior Code and Clans. He knew he would be leaving as soon as he was old enough. He just wished he would have someone to go with him...

Brindlepaw let out a curt chuckle, loud enough for the kit to hear. He almost reminded her of herself as an unruly kit....but she had atleast the self control to not disrespect authority like that, even with her rebellious attitude. She lowered herself so that her stomach was resting on the ground, tail swaying to and fro with mock boredome.

Giddykit's muscles tensed. His claws unsheathed and sheathed. He soon had to dig them into the ground to keep from pouncing on someone. If he did pounce, Sunpelt would've gotten the blow, for he was the nearest cat. Giddykit couldn't take it anymore. Out of boredom and anger, he took his claws out of the ground and let himself topple on Sunpelts front paws and tail.

The tom sat very still, his eyes scanning first the faces of the leaders, then Silverpelt hanging high over head. The stars glittered brightly, along with the moon, which glowed so heavenly in a realm reserved only for the Eternal Sleepers. While he was looking, though, Sunpelt hadn't noticed the aggression building within the kit, though he did notice, after his gaze returned on the leaders, that both Onyxpelt and Maplepaw were both annoyed with the kit. They'll live with it... he reasoned, before returning his golden gaze upon the Great Hill.
Within seconds, a light weight plowed into his legs. Flattening his ears, Sunpelt stood up, ready to assert any authority if it needed to be done. His attacker was none other then Giddykit, his teeth playfully sought his tail, which he flicked it out of range. Sunpelt's ears flicked forward. He was aware that this wasn't Gathering behavior, but it certianly was a far cry from the angry kit only moments before. Sunpelt swatted out, his claws sheathed, doing no damage as he aimed for the kit's head.
Righty.

Occ: sorry I need to post often Icepaw licked her fur nervously as she waited for the gathering to continue. Icepaw looked behind her and what she saw made the fur on her neck stand on end. "Why is Giddykit attacking one from his own clan?" Icepaw asked Ripplepaw.

What was once a game now was turning into something else! Giddykit wanted to keep his ears! He darted quietly behind Sunpelt tripping over Blindsong's tail along the way.

Ripplepaw was staring blankly into space, pondering about what would happen if she ever sneaked off to see Giddykit and got caught. She was so distracted that she hadn't even noticed the miniature fight scene that was going on behind her. Finally, a question from Icepaw snapped her back to reality. "Wha...?" she started, then noticed Giddykit and Sunpelt having a playful scuffle. "Ah, probably bored or something," the apprentice replied in a matter-of-fact manner, and yawned and stretched. She ignored the TreeClanners behind her. Her first reaction had been to intervene, but she decided not to. Besides, she was tired. The Gathering was taking forever. She looked up at the hill, where three leaders sat. Where was Amberstar, anyway?

//Okay guys, since we've already made it to the new moon on the calander without Amberstar posting, I say we close this Gathering. Everything is being held back because of it. I don't think any of the other leaders would disagree. So, let's just leave it. Or one of the other leader's can close the Gathering formally.

OOC: I'll end it...but what shall we say happened to Amberstar? Did she slip away unnoticed or has she gone mute? XD
Lillystar wondered if they were to wait forever for Amberstar to speak. She watched the skys ripple with clouds and decided that it was time to end the Gathering before Starclan grew as impatient as her clan's cats.
"Everyone, I do not know what has become of Amberstar...but the sky roils with approaching storms, so let us take our leave and hope that all goes well!" she announced. "Mistclan, follow me back to the camp before we all get poured on!" She yowled to signnify her urgency and then dashed to the end of the clearing and waited for her warriors to follow.
"We'd best follow, come on Icepaw!" Shadowstreak said, touching her apprentice's shoulder with the end of her tail. She streaked after her leader and hoped the other warriors and apprentices would join her.
Dragonpelt shuddered as a cold gust of wind tore through the clearing and chilled his fur. Yet another Gathering had ended without every leader speaking and he felt Starclan's dissapointment, but the wind seemed to be holding something else. It was as though the very forest was surging with new power, that did not belong there.
"I've a bad feeling about this storm...and those rogue clans...its not right for rogues to join up...makes me nervous..." he whispered to Snowstripe, wondering if Featherstar would have them leave as well.

The golden warrior span around, making sure he didn't bump into the blind queen that wasn't too far away. As the kit tripped over Blindsong's tail, Sunpelt was upon him, stopping Giddykit dead in his tracks, for his paw stood heavily on his tail. At that moment, Lillystar's call emerged from the Great Hill, bringing the warrior's attention away from the kit until the news of the Gathering's ending was announced. He, too, looked up at the sky, finding the hairs on his back rise as rain clouds covered the moon. Returning to his attention back to Giddykit, Sunpelt ordered calmly, "Come, Giddykit. It is time we go home."
Releasing his grip on the kit's tail, the tom walked around Blindsong. His tail flicked out, touching the pregnant queen's shoulder as he offered, "I can lead you to your Clan members if you wish." Looking over Blindsong's shoulder, Sunpelt made sure Giddykit had followed him before beginning to lead the queen, assuming she'll say yes.

“I thank you Sunpelt.”
Blindsong spoke with deep-felt warmth and gratitude, and, although she, honestly, did not need his assistance, she rose to her paws and followed him. It was better to hold her tongue and be polite rather than sting such a brave warrior’s pride.
Finally, the fela turned, brilliant green orbs straining to fall upon Giddykit, but although she could not see the small kit, she could sense his general location.
“Little one, please. Try to listen to what your elders tell you. I understand that you are young, and you seek a wayward path – even I was like that once too. But the life of a rogue is not a pretty one – it is hard and bitter. Please, listen, although it may seem so to you now, there’s so much more to the Warrior Code than just ‘obeying orders’ and having to do everything you are told.”
She purred – this she-cat was truly the epiphany of kindness – and smiled towards Giddykit. Would he understand? Would he even attempt to listen? The kind calico female could only hope he had attempted to take her words to heart, before turning her head towards where she could pinpoint Sunpelt was at.

Giddykit stuck his toung out for a moment and turned around to follow his Clan back home. He tried to shake Blindsong's words out of his head. How should she know? How should she know if she's been in a Clan all her life? Those "Leaders" put the silliest things in your heads!

Ripplepaw turned to follow her clan home, but paused and called out a goodbye to Giddykit before bounding back after her clanmates. Sneaking off to see Giddykit would have to wait until they were both perhaps a little older.

Icepaw padded beside Shadowstreak. "I'm tired as soon as we get back to camp I'm taken a little nap. That gathering seemed to last forever!" She looked back at the departing cats, Starclan will be angry, she thought as Icepaw silently padded to camp.
