The purr that had come from the queen, Sunpelt thought, was that of amusement, but he never knew that it was, or at least partially, a part of her admiration of him. This probably was a good thing, though, for the solemn tom would be greatly flabbergasted if he knew. Even so, there were certain things that he did know, and he knew that the kit who had bothered the queen, wasn't supposed to be there. Turning sharply upon the little one, his eyes narrowing into yellow slits. "Hush, Giddykit," he hissed. A glance to the black deputy, Sunpelt knew, knowing not only Blackheart, but the grave situation that even allowed the kit's presence here, told him that the kit had acted on his own endeavor. A paw raised up, claws sheathed of course, and landed hard enough to move the kit, but soft enough not to hurt, that should send him tumbling back to Blackheart's paws. Narrowing his gaze from where he was, his tail twitching omniously, would tell the kit that he better stay where he was or risk the consequences. Satisfied that he got his point across, Sunpelt returned his attention to the news, but now he checked to see if the kit tried to squirm his way away from Blackheart again.

[ if i should die within this hour ]
The tom noticed Trillium's returning smile, and he felt a light pide rise within him that, though he barely knew this Clan, he was already appriciated in some which way; in this case, for the reassurance that he could offer. He had a charm about him, but one that he had never attempted to misuse. No player, Double was fine to use his charm in order to cheer those who were miserable and calm those who were nervous, jittering wrecks. Quite the peacekeeper, was that noble tom - perfectly suited to the Clan he had henceforth signed his name to.
Speaking of his name; his chest swelled up with pride as Lillystar mentioned his name, even though he knew that his own announcement was not as important as the fact that the kits had been apprenticed. He understood quite well that the kits were the future, and the future was far more important than the past, or even the present.
As other cats mingled, Double raised an eyebrow at the few who continued to wander around and talk incessantly, deeming them somewhat rude. Why, he would not dare talk whilst the leaders were making their judgements! They were the utmost of authority and deserved total and undefyable respect, and it frustrated Double that others did not hold the same idea. If it had been his apprentice talking so, it would've gotten a light swipe to the muzzle.
'Light' being the operative word of course. Double wasn't one to hurt a kit.

"What? I can't say hello?" he retorted to Sunpelt. Giddykit realized that he had said his name. Embarrased, he squirmed over to Blackheart. "Rouges in the pound and Kittypet's in fence-boxes probably have a better time than this!" he mumbled. Giddykit didn't feel like part of TreeClan. He never did really. He felt more like the blind ex-ShadowClan Leader Crookedstar being held in the ThunderClan camp as a prisoner. "Yep, that's exactly how I feel," Giddykit mumbled.

Icepaw sat next to her mentor listening to the leaders,
"I remember at my first gathering that Duskclan accused Stoneclan of tresspassing but it was the Deputy of Stoneclan insted of a band of warriors. When will Treeclan speak?"
I hope I get to go to every gathering! Icepaw thought as she waited excitedly for the Treeclan leader to speak.

Giddykit scanned the hill, looking at cats. His gazed rested on Icepaw. She was extremely pretty! He had never seen a cat that was so white before! He looked down at his paws. He hoped he would be able to find someone for him in his own Clan (that was, if anyone ever trusted him).
Giddykit was becoming very tired. How long would this Gathering last? He was literally trying to keep himself from falling on his stomach and sleeping.

Ripplepaw sat straight, proud to hear her name in Lillystar's speech to the Clans. She let her stiff stance drop as the DuskClan leader came up. Ever since the first Gathering, the black cat had scared her, and probably would continue to. But enough of that. She lifted her head up surveyed the crowd of cats. And she noticed, as she held back a giggle, that a small young kit seemed rather interested in her first friend. "Icepaw,"she mewed/snorted. "Some TreeClanner's looking your way!" The silver apprentice leaned over to the white one's ear. "And damn, is he handsome!" Ripplekit whispered, subduing a million laughs.

Giddykit saw Ripplepaw laugh, it was embarrasing. He couldn't help it. Icepaw was pretty. Any tom would be put in a trance by her. Giddykit leaned over. "I'm supposed to be an Apprentice right now," he whispered to Ripplepaw, "But there aren't any mentors available right now. Is Icepaw a newly made Apprentice? Tell her I said hi! Okay?" he finished whispering. He leaned back over and sat up straight as if nothing had happened. Blackheart seemed very intent on watching the Leaders speak. He wasn't paying any attention to him.
Giddykit gazed at Ripplepaw for a moment. She reminded him of his mother Twitchy. Same colors, same smile, same laugh. He decided to turn his focus toward her. "Are you a new Apprentice?" he whispered to her.

Onyxpelt flicked one ear back, and then the other. But telling them to hush would only add to the noise level. Onyx's tail flipped back and forth in the dirt for a moment in irritation. Maybe if she could just ignore all the whispering? She was sure if they got too loud, surely someone with more authority than she would tell them to shut up. It wasn't her place, anyway.
Still, it was bothersome. She snorted softly in annoyance, gold eyes flicking around for a moment to see if anyone else looked vaguely annoyed, or if she was just possibly overreacting to what was a normal occurence.

If Blackheart wasn't tending well to the kit, Sunpelt was, his ears cocked back as whispering commenced. His tail twitched in annoyance, a movement copied by Onyxpelt, who also looked annoyed at the disrespect clearly shown by the young cats. Deciding that he couldn't take it anymore, the warrior stood up. A tail to the blind queen's side should warn her of his departure, however brief it would be.
Stepping the few steps to Blackheart and the young kit, the former given a respectful bob of his head, while the latter a reproachful glare. "And it would be a wonder if you ever get one at this rate," Sunpelt murmured to the kit, as he sat right behind him. Thing was, Sunpelt was the only one who lacked an apprentice, and he had a since of dread at getting such a kit to mentor. His whiskers twitched at the thought, a movement that he hoped would go unnoticed, especially by the deputy.

Ripplepaw cast a quick wary glance at the golden warrior sitting behind Giddykit and lay down, resting her head on her white paws. She could tell that most of the cats nearby were rather annoyed by the whispering, so maybe if she spoke really quietly...... "Yup, me and Icepaw were recently apprenticed today," she breathed in reply to the kit that she had just laughed at, hiding her mouth behind a paw to disguise the fact that she was talking. "Don't worry, I'll tell her that you said hello. And also.... You know who Icepaw and I are, so who are you?", she asked softly.

Giddykit lied down too. He was tired anyway. Giddykit covered his mouth with his paws. "No, that's okay. I don't want you to get in trouble. Did I tell you that you look like my mom Twitchy?" he said in a mufled whisper. As soon as he finished his last sentence he started to feel sad. His mother was dead. All he did was rub the tip of his tail along the tip of Ripplepaw's ear to say he was sorry for being rude. "I'm Giddykit." He turned away and started to sniffle.

Ripplepaw was silent; her thoughts were reflecting on the emotions Giddykit showed as he spoke about his mother. "Something happened to her, didn't it?" Her voice was low and quiet, barely audible. "I lost my family too, when I was four moons old," she mewed softly. She had no idea why she was telling him, but she too, knew the pain of loss.

Giddykit sniffed again. "My father was taken to the pound before I was born," he said, "I never knew him. Mom said his name was Sunray and that he was a rouge. My mom was killed by a monster when I was two moons. She died right before my eyes! She spotted a mouse on the other side of the Thunderpath and told me to wait while she went to hunt it. A monster came and well..." Giddykit's voice died down. He looked up at Ripplepaw and smiled, "Thank you for understanding." His smile faded, "I'm sorry about your parents." He started to feel something in him, like a fire of friendship between him and Ripplepaw, except the fire was larger and burning brighter and hotter.

"It's nothing," Ripplepaw grinned, but the expression faltered. "Twolegs and their monsters are just evil, horrible things, if you ask me. My family was captured by them. Anyways, I'm sorry about your parents too," she mewed. She tilted her head to look at Giddykit and her gaze took in his orange pelt and his somewhat hopeful and friendly expression. "You know, you're my first friend from another clan." Her grin returned and she seemed more like the cheerful apprenticed that she was.

Giddykit's eyes lit up happily! "You're my first friend ever!" He didn't realize his words. That could be bad, but he didn't think about it. He scooted close enough over to Ripplepaw that his pelt touched hers and he rasped his toung over her ear. Then, he looked up at the Leaders. "Amberstar must be really shy tonight," he whispered.

OoC: Why would it be bad? 0_O My brain's smacking itself a thousand times over without coming up with an answer. D| And uh.... SOMETHING'S HAPPENING OH NO LOL SHOTDOWN
Ripplepaw too looked at the clanleaders on the Great Hill. "Yeah," she murmered. "I wonder where she is?" She flicked her ear as Giddykit rasped his tongue over it, and edged away a bit. "Stop it!" she giggled. "That tickles!" She gave Giddykit a playful poke in the ribs with her bushy tail in an attempt to get back at him.

OoC: Uh-oh, cross-clan romance! And like, Ripple's older thatn Giddy by about 4 moons. xD
"Ooops," Ripplepaw giggled again, this time more quietly. She lay silent for a while, gazing at the shadowed figures of the leaders, and cast a sideways glance at the TreeClan kit, and tried to shake off some weird strange feeling.
OoC: And there we go.

Giddykit layed down too. "I really like you Ripplepaw." He frowned, "But when can we talk again?" he whispered covering his mouth with his paws. "I can't wait till the next full moon."
ooc: I'm six moons, so you're... 10 moons?
