She followed in tow behind her leader and Hawkclaw; tail twitching impatiently as she sat a few feet away from Immortal, "Mmph.. isn't this just dandy beyond all words?" She purred softly, ember hues flickering like an ember as they reflected the moon's glow. Sure, they had missed the last gathering... but it was just more time to hone skills... skills that involved napping... or ... catching fresh kill.

Lillystar watched the Duskclan leader silently. She was not normally one to assume, but this she-cat had an air of pure violence around her and it worried Lillystar so she stayed as far from her as the hill would permit. "Yes it shall...Mistclan assemble!" she yowled to her warriors and apprentices.
Shadowstreak had wanted to talk to Dragonpelt and Snowstripe more, but then she heard their leader calling them, so she excused herself. "Oh we're to listen now..." she said quickly. "Perhaps we'll see you later, come along Icepaw!" she called to the kit and leapt away to sit before the Great Hill.
Dragonpelt nodded and nudged Snowstripe to follow him, figuring they should go and sit with Stoneclan so the speeches could be heard. He meowed to Loveless and Brindlepaw to come and sit with them as he padded toward the Great hill. Then he realized that a kit had walked up to them in the midst of their talk and turned his head to notice Lostpaw. He whispered to Snowstripe that he'd be after her in a moment and then nodded toward Lostpaw, before padding back to the little kit. "I'm sorry...were you trying to say hello?" he asked, kindness resonating in his green eyes.

Trillium was becoming increasingly more on edge with the arrival of the Sabrestar and the rest of Duskclan. The way in which they spoke, with their fluidness and intelligence ruffled her fur. Hurridly, she located her apprentice, Ripplepaw, and found her next to Lilystar. Thus dropping her guard, she proceeded to listen intently to the leaders' conversations; those that she could hear, anyhow.
Maplepaw nodded to Onyxpelt and then beamed with happiness at the praise he received from Sunpelt. He then turned his head to the expectant Stoneclan mother and memories of Rainfall's recent kitting flooded into his mind. It had been quite an event, what with the queen giving birth in the middle of the camp! "I hope your kitting goes well," he offered, a bit shyly, despite the other three cats' warm greetings.

Brindlepaw's ears swiveled around as she heard two of the leaders call the Gathering to begin. Oh foo....She sighed and followed Dragonpelt. She let the tip of her tail rest on Blindsong's shoulder, a kind of signal to where they were sitting. The brindle and white apprentice flopped down on her belly next to the group of StoneClan cats, sending up a small whisp of dust. Maybe something interesting would arise in this Gathering. She gazed up at the leaders, ut one small lithe form caught her eye... Sabrestar... she just barely breathed the word, inaudible to anycat. Oh how she admired the small, dangerous she-cat...so powerful...striking fear into the hearts of many a Clan cat. Because of this, she greatly admired and respected the DuskClan leader, but was keen to not let her Clanmates know.
Smokepaw was sitting among a few DuskClan warriors, not really socializing, but just watching the goings-ons of the other cats, how they mingled with one another as if Clanmates. Puh...Smokepaw wrinkled his nose at the thought.....But was he one to talk? He too had a kit-hood friend, from when he was just a small rouge kit, who was now in another clan. He shook his head , he had no business with other Clan cats, he was only an apprentice, loyal to DuskClan. And though he was an apprentice, his figure was lithe and muscular, claws sharpened to razor-like points, fangs like blades, flashing in the moonlight.

The golden warrior's words, though not spoken lightly, seemed to fall dead as DuskClan, the most feared and hated Clan, began to fill the Great hill like flies to a carcass. True, BoneClan had a fierce reputation, but was even scarier about DuskClan is that they believed in StarClan. To think that they believed in their warrior ancestors and still behaved cruely was unthinkable, untangible by any true warrior. Growling under his breath as passing DuskClan cats filtered through, Sunpelt kept a careful eye on the untrustworthy warriors before his golden gaze lifted to the Great Hill, where the clan leaders started their monthly speeches. With quiet satisfaction, Sunpelt noticed that a few of the Leaders themselves treated Sabrestar with grudging respect. Sunpelt started to rise, decided to gather with the other TreeClan cats, but instead, he sat back down, proving that, if something were to rise during the truce, that he would protect the StoneClan queen. "You can stay if you wish, Maplepaw," Sunpelt mewed, glancing quickly to the apprentice before he raised his eyes back to the Clan leaders.

ooc: Oh Blackheart! I'm soo sorry!
bic: Giddykit sat down sighed. Then he curled his tail over his paws. The end of his tail twitched impatiently. He looked up at the stars. They were dancing happily. "Ah," Giddykit said, "For StarClan's sake, I hope you're right, Blackheart." He knelt his head, waiting for the Gathering to begin.

[ if i should die within this hour ]
As more and more cats and toms poured into the clearing, Double's eyes grew tired of their constant flickering and he resolved to center his eyes upon the stars overhead. Tilting his noble crown backward, he blinked innocently at the blanketed skies, allowing the starts to wink back kindly and with good humour. A light smile curved across his maw; as he thought of StarClan and their royalty.
"MistClan assemble!" The cry was loud and it asserted Double's attention immediately. He hadn't really been paying attention, and was waiting for the gathering to get underway; and it seemed that now it would be so. He pushed his handsome bodice foreward and joined the MistClan ranks, mingling among the friends whose names he barely knew, sittiing aside them as if he really belonged there. He dropped down next to a cat - Trillium, was it? Sensing her unease as it wavered around her aura, he threw her a small smile of reassurance before casting his gaze ahead. Lets get this ball rolling.

Ripplepaw sighed and lowered her head as her words to Lillystar and Featherstar went unheeded. Her ears twitched as her mentor came over, and she looked up at Trillium, her worries and concerns bottled up in her. She glanced at Doubleheart the odd-eyed warrior sitting next to her mentor, and gazed back at the hill and at the four leaders. She wasn't too keen on hearing bad news from the other clans, seeing as how so many disasters had affected her own.

Giddykit looked at all the cats chatting and being merry sadly. "Blackheart, may I go walk around? I promise I won't try to run. I want to say hi to other cats!" he asked as kindly as he could. His ears twitched hopefuly.

Intimidated at first by his size, which was much larger than himself, Lostpaw shrank a little as the tom came forward. Then, after hearing the warm, kind words spoken, Lostpaw's little blue face immidiately broke out in a huge smile. His eyes twinkled at the tom, grateful for noticing him.
But still in his old habit of refusing to speak, Lostpaw nodded vigorously to the green-eyed tom. He wished to ask to join them, but knew he could never build up enough courage to do so. Lostpaw simply gazed hopefully up at Dragonpelt, wanting the warrior to invite him over with the rest of them.

OOC: Can we get on with this? XD
Dragonpelt smiled at the kit and nudged him with his muzzle. "Come on then, join us!" he said and trotted back to Snowstripe and the others.
Shadowstreak sat near Icepaw and remained quietly attentive.
Lillystar hadn't meant to offend Ripplepaw by not acknowledging her, but she knew it would be hard enough to get respect for being a new leader without any interruptions, so she ignored her for a moment.
"Cats of the 4 forest clans, my name is Lillystar and I am the new leader of Mistclan since Whisperstar had to leave them for unknown reasons...I hope you will regard me kindly," she said. "Mistclan fairs well, we have 4 new apprentices, 3 of which are here at this Gathering!" "We congratulate Rustpaw, Ripplepaw, Umberpaw and Icepaw on becoming apprentices!" "Also Doubleheart is one of our newer warriors, reinstated into our clan!" She allowed time for all to admire these cats for their accomplisments. "Yet sadly we mourn the loss of Honeymist, killed just before I came into leadership, she is with Starclan now and we shall miss her..." Lillystar then paused, allowing the other leaders to address what they would.

Sabrestar listened intently to the words of the new leader, hardly sparing a mere, miniscule glance of acknowledgement towards the new Mistclan Leader, her expression unreadable as she smoothly rose from her seat, her legs swimming with sinew like snakes wrapped in cellophane. Her cold, unfeeling eyes searched the crowd as she stepped to the edge of the rock, her tail waving through the thinned air for silence as her eyes challenged any to disrupt her.
"Duskclan recruits three new Warriors into our ranks, as well as two new apprentices, and one kit."
Her eyes flashed.
"Although I find it needless to say such things, for we are in no need to flaunt our strength. My Clan grows as shadows stretch in the fading light."
The words were poetic but the meaning was as bittersweet as poisoned honey. The beautiful she-cat's gaze raked the cats below her with sharpened claws and a wrathful fang. Her smooth muzzle rose higher into the air, the moon outlining her striking, though small figure, her silhoutte silver whilst the rest of her body was as black as a shadow, melting into the darkness.
An angel from hell.
"Important news ensues the casualities of this meeting."
The Duskclan Leader continued, her paws barely overhanging the tip of the cliff she stood open. Glorgious in all her majesty.
"As heard from one of my Warriors, it seems that Stoneclan had wanted to speak with dear Smokepaw. I was away when this happened. Care to eloborate what happened, dear Featherstar?"
The name rolled off her lips and fell like a block of ice, a smirk curling her lips although she didn't make any aggresive stances, fully aware of the shining moon above them, not a single cloud in sight to taint the glowing silver light.
For even a rose has its thorns. ooc| For those who are confused, I heard that while I was away, some Stoneclan cats went and spoke to Hawkclaw. xD I don't really know what happened, but.. yeah. That's what Sabrestar's talking about. [/size]

//I do believe you mean Featherstar. Featherstar stepped forward, surprised. I'm sorry Sabrestar, I don't know what you're talking about. I sent a patrol of cats to TreeClan with a message but I never told them to go to DuskClan territory. I assure you, if they did come into your territory, I'll deal with them accordingly. She looked down at StoneClan's gathered cats disapprovingly. But mainly only to please Sabrestar at the moment. She'd figure out why they'd been to DuskClan and if they needed it, punish them. For now she'd appease the DuskClan leader. Featherstar then turned and projected her voice so everyone would be able to hear her, StoneClan is doing well. We have a new apprentice present tonight, Lostpaw. she flicked her tail in the young cats direction. I would also like to announce that StoneClan has a new deputy, Snowstripe, she pointed her tail likewise in Snowstripe's direction. Funny, she thought, StoneClan's learning that they have a new deputy at the same time as all the other clans. Other than that I have nothing more to say.// Now I'm done.

Blindsong purred softly at the kind Treeclan tom. He was such a perfect gentleman; and, even though she knew she should be seated with the rest of her clan, she remained seated beside Sunpelt.
Delicate auds gracefully flick forward, her blind brilliant green hues lifted towards the direction of the leaders’ voices. She could sense the malevolence of the Duskclan leader, and that sent a shiver right down her spine. Oh, how glad she was that she had found Featherstar and the rest of the lovely [in scent and sound] Stoneclan!
Of course, there were other ‘nice’ clans. Treeclan, for example, seemed to be a wonderous place; especially if they spawned such honorable toms as Sunpelt. And Mistclan seemed nice as well.
But it was all just a flit through the gentle queen’s mind. She was with Stoneclan; although she knew only a few cats there currently, and would never change for the world.

Muscular golden tree-climber cast his equally golden eyes to the leader's positions, now all eyes and ears for what they had to say for this moon. From Lillystar's mouth, she mentioned the ascension of a warrior, as well as a number of apprentices. Sunpelt's eyes glowed, happy to hear that MistClan was doing better after the unfortunate loss of their old leader. Similar, Sunpelt realized, to TreeClan's predicament. His voice joined those of the gathered Clan's praising them by name until Sabrestar marched forward.
Instantly he shut his mouth, and his eyes narrowed, wondering what sort of trouble this she-cat was willing to cause. And trouble she did bring. Withholding the urge to sigh, Sunpelt's gaze turned to Featherstar, as she tried to appease DuskClan's leader. Golden whiskers twitched. The warrior could understand why Featherstar did such, but at the same time, such actions could lead Sabrestar to believe she could walk all over the she-cat, and one Sunpelt didn't doubt that that would be below Sabrestar's doing.

Giddykit wasn't sitting too far behind Sunpelt and the she-cat. He scooted foward a little. He didn't think Blackheart would mind if he scooted foward. Of course he didn't even wait for Blackheart's answer. Giddykit tapped the she-cat's shoulder with his paw. "Hi, I'm Giddykit! What's your name?" He didn't know the cat was blind either.

Trillium was quite grateful for Double's reassurance, and she returned a grin in his direction. She was also happy to see that Ripplepaw was beside her once more. The 'van listened intently to the words being spoken by the four clan leaders and was thrilled with her apprentice's announcement. Sabrestar's words were chilling, and her accusation of Stoneclan was an interesting one. Trillium herself had never met a cat from Stoneclan and maintained a relationship, but they didn't seem to be cats that would be unfaithful to their own clan.
Blindstep had to be the kindest soul that Maplepaw had ever run into. As he turned an ear to the leaders, he noticed the new kit from his clan, Giddykit, sitting with their deputy not far behind. Before he knew it, the kit had prodded the Stoneclan queen in the shoulder. Maplepaw's eyes widened for a moment in surprise, hoping Blindsong had known that the kit was there beforehand. Briefly, he wondered if his mentor, Blackheart, had given Giddykit permission to move. Somehow, Maplepaw doubted it.
((Ugh...that post wasn't very good. Sorry guys, the inspiration just wasn't coming today. D: EDIT: Further proof! I mistook Blindsong's name for BlindSTEP. Jeebus.))

Onyxpelt sat very still, watching the leaders and listening to them speak. Sabrestar terrified her a little, but she watched and listened to that leader as quietly and still as she had the others. No reason to make sure anyone knew the leader made her antsy.
One ear flicked back as Onyxpelt heard, rather than saw, Giddykit saying hello to Blindsong. With a soft snort, Onyx turned her head to glance first at the kitten, then at Blindsong, and then to Blackheart. After a brief frown in Giddykit's general direction, the black cat turned her attention once more back to what the leaders were saying.
((OOC: Lousy post! I need a naaaaap. Also, Onyx will be black from now on... Har, cause we love font colors, and a black cat should have black text!))

Amazed at the tom's understangs of his aphonic launguage, Lostpaw scurried after Dragonpelt with a little bounce in his step. He felt like he was part of a family even more now. He had just been accepted into this little click and was probably about to meet even more of his Clanmates. The little blue kit nestled himself quietly near Dragonpelt-- nearer, in fact, than he did before. With a little glance up towards Featherstar's inspiring figure upon the rock with the leaders of the other Clans, Lostpaw didn't feel so lost anymore.
>>>ooc: I feel special. I used a word I learned in English today! Aphonic... without sound... Heh. Now I feel like a dork. >.<
