Exploring her new home

Snowstripe let out a sigh, closing her eyes and snuggling closer to him. She began to drift off to sleep, ears flicking and whiskers twitching

Pinepaw had followed closely, ready to do anything that Snowstripe and Dragonpelt wanted her to. As Snowstripe rested from her bit of excitement, Pinepaw sat at the entrance to Swallowtail's den, keeping an eye out for her incase she came back soon.

OOC:// Just so you guys know, I think we cave a medicine cat. Rainwhisker is the account. Swallowtail is the cat. But they haven't been on in what seems like forever. If they don't log on soon I might have to get a new one.

Brindlepaw had declined the offer to go on the patrol. So she was waiting when they arrived, she found it odd that they headed straight for the seemingly empty MedicineCat den. She was alarmed and almost in a panic as she saw that it was Snowstripe that was ill, Brindlepaw darting to where Pinepaw sat. Brindlepaw relaxed a bit as she saw that her mentor was asleep, Dragonpelt by her side, their flanks raising and lowering with their breath. She couldn't help but smirk....Dragonpelt fancied her....It was blatantly clear.

Brindlepaw turned to Pinepaw, tail curling over her paws, the tip twitching in an unheard rythm.

What happened? Did you see?

((Yes, I checked and they hadn't last logged in since June.. I think late as that. o-0 She's also the Treeclan deputy, and I may also have to appoint a new one if she doesn't come on by the first week of August. -sigh- I dunno, we'll just have to see.))

Pinepaw glanced back into the cave, her tail twitching as she watched the pair. She smiled slightly as she remembered how much Dragonpelt needed to help her; Pinepaw turned back to Brindlepaw, who looked worried.

There was some poisoned water near the border where we chased off some rogues, she began to explain to her fellow apprentice. The Twolegs put oil in it. We didn't see the colours shimmering unnaturally in it until after Snowstripe drank out of the puddle; we rushed here right away, and Dragonpelt got some herbs for her. I think she'll be all right now. Pinepaw finished confidently, her tail curling around her paws.[/size][/color]

Well, Amber, if you appoint a new deputy, I'll probally get a new medicine cat.

Dragonpelt murmured in his sleep and then slowly opened his eyes. He looked around and saw that the two apprentices, Brindlepaw and Pinepaw were watching them. His fur suddenly felt hot under his skin and he straightened a bit, though he didn't move from Snowstripe's side.

"H...hello you two..." he started, slightly embarrassed despite the severity of the situation. "Could you two go and look for some poppy seeds for me...Snowstripe should be fine now, but she'll be in a great deal of pain when she wakes up..."

Pinepaw stood up, smiling slightly as she saw Dragonpelt's uncomfort, and waved her tail back and forth. Of course, she said. Where can we find them? She wondered if it would be best to go to the StoneClan boundaries, or the feild. She'd only been a clan cat for a week or so, and didn't really know where things were quite yet.

[Loveless]

[Don't pick Loveless as medicine cat. The idiot'll probably end up killing everyone. ;D]

Loveless suddenly came up behind the apprentices, his long tail waving above him as he gave them all a curious look. He had been silent as a ghost – hopefully he hadn’t startled them.

“Poppy seeds can be found at the edge of the field.”

[Aw…so short… *scolds Kurt-muse for ‘bamf’ing’ away*]

//...omg I love Kurt! -huggles Kurt- I'm so sad he wasn't in X3. -is sad- And....That crack on Loveless made me laugh! Hah. 8') Although I probably shouldn't, because he's my mentor. ^^

Pinepaw nearly jumped out of her paws as she heard her mentor behind her, but calmed down as the shock wore off. She laughed nervously and shuffled her paws, embarrassed.

I'll head over to the small field, then, she said, gestured to Brindlepaw with her tail. Will you join me? [/size][/color]

[Loveless]

[Him, Quicksilver, and Wolvie are the best! *fangirl squee* But Kurt' will always be my number one muse. *pets Kurt-muse, who's now on a leash* Oh and go on ahead. He cracks on himself. ;D]

Eyes turned to the other apprentice, and Loveless dipped his muzzle slightly.

"Go with here. I'll stay with these two."

Pinepaw looked at Brindlepaw, and headed out the camp to the field. She didn't turn back but hoped that her fellow apprentice was following her. She began to speed up as she neared the entrance, her paws softly and swiftly padding across the camp.

[Pinepaw -&Brindlepaw?- to Small Feild]

[Snowstar]

Snowstripe opened a sage eye. It was deep in color, and still had a glazed look from the sickness. But her expression wasn't that of a frail character, and she raised her head in response to Loveless's voice. She flicked her ash tail, blinking away at the sunlight and yawned.

Indeed she felt much better, but it'd be best that she stay around camp for the next few days.

Dragonpelt brightened at Loveless arrival, it would be easier to take care of Snowstripe with help. He slowly stood and turned to check on Snowstripe.

"How are you feeling?" he asked her, worry still present in his hazel-green eyes. "If you're alright, I'll leave you in Loveless's care for a bit and go get you some fresh kill, how do you fancy that?"

[Snowstar]

It took her a minute to respond, but she nodded her head. She'd have to be careful what she ate, lest she get sick again. But she'd manage.. She had to eat something afterall! The black she cat merely looked at Loveless with a flick of her tail in greeting. She recognized him from the gathering.. He was the other cat with the apprentice.. Pinepaw, wasn't it? She smiled lightly and stood unsteadily to her feet.

[Shadow Spirit]

Dragonpelt nodded to Snowstripe and helped the she-cat to her paws. Then he gave her one gentle nudge with his nose before dashing off to hunt some food.

[Loveless]

Loveless purred gently, walking over to the she-cat's side to help support her weight so she didn't move around too much and force herself to become ill again. Although he didn't know the cat well, or what happened, he felt genuine concern from his clan mate.

[Goldenblaze]

The young she-cat watched Dragonpelt dart away to find fresh-kill. How everyone was getting worked up for her health! She was letting her guilty concious get to her.. If she hadn't drinken that water.. She wouldn't have caused such a disruption! She sighed and let Loveless help her support her, wobbling a little before sitting back down quickly.

[Shadow Spirit]

Dragonpelt returned rather quickly, carrying two plump mice and dragging a squirrel by his back foot. He placed the mice in front of Snowstripe and set the squirrel off to the side.

"You ought to start with small foods," he told Snowstripe. "See how you manage a mouse and then I can bring you more if you take to it..." he said gently, a warmth in his expression.

He turned to Loveless, "Let her eat that on her own and we'll keep an eye on her, call the apprentices over once they get back and we can share this glutton of a squirrel I caught."
