Bane's Graphic Novel - The Official Thread

Okay, some of you guys know that for a long while I've been thinking of starting up my own graphic novel. It's pretty much going nowhere currently - many many ideas come to me, and I have written them all down. Yet currently I am not confident enough with my art style to begin drawing, plus the official plotline hasn't completely been figured out yet. Thus! I open it out to you guys to help me out. =)

What is set in stone:

• the novel will be based in a city, the name of which is yet to be decided.
  
• Bane will be one of the main characters, if not the main character.
  
• I will not be using any content or ideas from the Warriors series. This means none of the original clans, clan names, no StarClan. I want to be original, yet still appeal to the Warriors fandom.
  
• Religion and beliefs will play a main part in the story.
  
• Within the city there will be two cat clans.
  

I have considered going along the lines of a very Romeo and Juliet-esque story, yet I don't know how this would appeal to people, or whether it would be successful.

Bear in mind that the graphic novel will NOT follow the plot here at BotW. Parts of it may, yes, but most will not.

Similarly, I have considered using characters from BotW within the novel. Particularly BoneClan characters such as Pripyat, Heartless, Sharpfang, Goldenblaze, Darkangel - heck, most of them really. To do this would require the creators' consent to use them and possibly alter them in what could be minor (eg. name changes), or rather major ways (eg. total personality change). I will come to this when it's needed, but as a forwarning I suppose I would be interested to know how many of you would be willing to give that consent?

So basically, if anybody has any name ideas for the graphic novel, story ideas, character consent stuff - whatever! Then please, spill =D This is a dream that I would love to fulfil, and would love to have you guys, who gave me the inspiration to do this, help me out in the process aswell.

I wouldn't mind if you threw Pripyat in. ^^
I'd prefer it if he kept his name, but I assumed that a lot of name changes would be because some characters have warrior names, right? And it's not too big a deal; if you have to change it, then go ahead. I'd be rather honored if my character appeared in this. =)

What kind of city is it? I mean, is it normal, or will it have a dark feel?
I was once writing something about a dark city--I scrapped the story, but I kind of liked the name. Los Diablos. If Los Angeles means 'city of angels', then doesn't Los Diablos mean 'city of devils'? xD

And more particularly, what do you think the overall mood will be? Dark? Gritty and realistic?

Yes, Pripyat's name would be safe - I actually love his name, it really suits him =D

I hadn't thought of making it a dark city, but now that you mention it that sounds as if it could work. I also like the idea of Los Diablos, though the word Diablos I'm not too sure about. There are many, many worlds meaning evil or devil to pick from xD

'The darker evils of humans'? I like the symbolism there, I think. ^^

I prefer Bane in the 3rd concept the most : ) He looks both scruffy and controlled, which is generally how I think of Bane, with my uber awesome limited knowledge.

You may use Dmitri for your charactering needs if you ever want to. He's a good middle man, cause he plays both sides and he'll spy for the best price. Hurray.
