Blinking twice, Ripplepaw sat up from where she had suddenly collapsed and fallen asleep soon after being treated by Umberpaw.
I seem to be doing that often, she thought, giving her ear a scratch, and sighing, she got up and bounded over to the Great Rock where Lillystar was finishing off a Clan meeting.
Sitting down to listen, a small grin spread on Ripplepaw's face. So soon a warrior, so soon a mentor. Lucky Rustshade. And here she was, MistClan's first apprentice and still an apprentice. After waiting so many moons to be one, she would probably have to wait many more moons to be a warrior. But just how many? She sighed and shook her head, the moment of self-pity soon passing, and Ripplepaw joined in the chanting of her clanmates.
"Bluepaw!"
"Thistlepaw!"
