OOC: Set after Lillystar returns from training Dodgepaw and Giddypaw. The cats included in this update can be told of it by others if they were not present for the meeting. Lillystar stepped briskly back into camp and over to the Great Rock. She leapt to the top and caterwauled loudly over the constant thrum of the waterfall and all the talking cats.
"All cats please gather beneath the Great Rock for a Clan meeting!" "I realize that two cats of apprentice age have joined the Clan and have received no training thus far and I apologize, but in my haste to assess all the troubles we have had, I had forgotten..." "Here and now I grant the duty of apprenticeship on Thistlepaw and Bluepaw, let StarClan see these new cats and honor the start of their formal training!" "I hope you both become fine warriors...but now to assign their mentors!" "Ravenfeather, you are new to this Clan, but I believe you can be trusted with this duty, so you shall mentor Bluepaw!" "Now, Rustshade is a fine cat and much overlooked in these past moons, so I award him mentorship of Thistlepaw, in the hopes that he turns her into a warrior as fine as himself!" "Again, I apologize for my lateness and I don't honestly know how much training can be accomplished before we leave for war...but I hope you all agree with my decisions..." "May StarClan give their blessing to each of these formentioned cats!" Then she quieted, fully expecting the noise to resume. |

Andromeda grinned at Medium, and was about to say something to him when Lillystar made her announcement. However, when Lillystar had quieted, Andromeda went back to her conversation with Medium, picking right up where she'd left off.
"Can I come? Or... maybe I should go find the medicine cat. I think the newcomer needs her worse than I," she said. She pawed the ground a bit hesitantly with her cobwebbed leg, but it didn't actually hurt to put any weight on. Andromeda was glad- she didn't think she might have had the patience to deal with having to hobble around. She stood and flicked her tail at Medium as she headed to find Umberpaw, since Umberpaw was the one she knew.
Smack me if I exploded anything, once again. I just need to put this in my sig as a disclaimer for everything!

Medium stood and dropped the feather. Returning the grin, he meowed, "I'll come with. Two cats can find another quicker. Then I can explore the territory."
He padded forward, casting around for the medine cat.

"We ended training for this?" the bad part of Giddypaw's concious spat in his mind.
"Aw, stop being such a jealous furball!" the good part said, a good humored tone in his voice, adding a little more sternly, "The world doesn't evolve around you!"
The Apprentice wasn't sure it was write, but he eagerly started to chant the Apprentices' names. Not only was he congradulated them, he was excepting himself into this Clan as a member, and wanted to be excepted. He didn't have a very good past... not a good one at all...

Dodgepaw was seated beside Giddypaw, calling his on congratulations to the new apprentices. Maybe he’d get to meet them fully, later, but such an advent could be amusing due to his shyness around females. |

Andromeda smiled at Medium, her whiskers flicking a little forward with the grin.
"Well, thanks! I think we should check the medicine cat den first... that seems like a good idea," she noted, glancing that general direction. She hoped Umberpaw hadn't gone out hunting with the others while she and Medium had been chit chatting and Andromeda had been rather neglecting any attention to anything else.

And so the prey was dropped into the freshkill pile, shored up for another day. Ah, but Battledream wasn’t done yet – the she-cat, although she didn’t particularly like the day, was always on the go; always doing her hardest to make sure everything was done.
And hoping that Lillystar didn’t strain herself.
Speaking of which….
The mammoth she-cat moved towards the point where the clan leader stood, raising her voice so that she could be heard over the camp’s din.

Ahh.....
Binx came up to put his catch in the freskill pile as the large she-cat padded away. He barely heard her calling for Lillystar as the scent of prey-blood wafted up to his nose. He sat down and studiously began to lick his maw and paws clean of blood. Even just from his fur, he reveled in the salty deliciousness. The taste of life. Unfortunately, it was over too soon. He sighed and looked around to see if Juukai had come back yet.

Satisfied that for the moment everything was fine, Lillystar stepped down from the Great Rock and loped across the camp. She noticed several of the hunting party had returned and were depositing their fresh kill in the growing pile. Her coat gleaming in the new-leaf sun, Lillystar smiled. Her Clan was doing well and even with war approaching, she felt unconcerned.
Suddenly she heard Battledream calling for her. Picking up speed a little, she trotted over to the massive tabby she-cat and sat down in front of her.
"What is it Battledream?" she asked. |

“Lillystar, I seek your input. I wish to take out a patrol through Mistclan territory and scout the furthest borders.”
As there was no proper deputy, yet, there was little choice – Battledream had to confer with Lillystar on the matter. From the day she had joined, she knew that not one proper patrol had been taken out – and that seriously bothered the ex-leader.
After all, she knew the good that camp from patrolling one’s land. |

Lillystar noticed the reserved tone with which Battledream spoke. It was true she hadn't appointed a deputy for moons and it seemed that they did need one, but Lillystar could not decide who would best suit the position. There were certainly cats that seemed more qualified, but she had so many warriors...how could she choose the one that might someday become leader?
"You are welcome to take a patrol Battledream..." she replied, looking at the large tabby a little sadly. "I do apologize for not choosing a deputy...things would be easier if we had one...its just so hard to choose the cat that may one day takeover for me..." |

Amber hues meet the leader’s gaze dead on, but then was a slight smile on Battledream’s dark face. She understood. The caustic, mean, sometimes incredible stubborn she-cat understood.

The ash-gray she-cat bounded across camp, a ratty old twoleg drawstring bag clenched between her teeth. It had obviously seen better days...years, even, by the look of it. It was very small, but there were no holes in it, and that was good enough for Juukai the pyro twoleg expert.
"I found this," she told the tuxedo tom eagerly, looking quite pleased. "I'm keeping my matches and feathers in it. It's kinda hard to work open, but manageable."

Ravenfeather lifted her chin and sat straight proud to be a mentor. "Thank you Lillystar I will do my job well!" She padded over to Bluepaw and licked the small cats ear thoughtfully then she sat next to it.

Mudface passes through the wet, mist waterfall, and her eyes lit up at the sigh - it was beautiful, unlike anything she'd ever seen. "Wow.." she thought. Her dark pelt was wet and slick now, but she couldn't care less. The cooling water actually felt very good to her, as it'd been a while since she could cool off.
She looked around, and oh, it was wonderful. She shook herself lightly, telling herself to remember to keep her composure and look less dumbfounded. But it was hard to contain her awe.

Hollykit truged out of the nursery.Feeling very blue then she spotted a huge kit that looked exactly like her sister. " Hey Falconkit is that you?" She mewed.
Falconkit turned to see her small sister staring at her. " Hollykit! Look at you your as small as a newborn!"Falconkit mewed.She ran to her sister and sat dramatically licking Hollykits ear.
Hollykit purred and licked falconkits chest." You havn't changed a bit.Your just as sweet and dramatic.
