Prologue:
A tiny kit dashes through the fog. "Help me! Mom! Dad!" he yelped. His name is Fallenkit. "Please! I need you!" His cries lost to the howling wind. He staggered blindly and suddenly felt his feet fly out from underneath him. " Fallenkit!" His mother cried as she saw fall into the churning stream. She sat and hung her head. She mumured a prayer to Star Clan and sat vigil for her "lost" son. Fallenkit flailed frantically at the water trying to get to the surface. Then he stops and lets the water rush over his body. Soon his body is heaved to the surface and a rough, but kind voice wakes him. "are you alright?" it asks. He sits up and says " Wha-who are you?" "I'm Azuremist" It was clearly old. And a tom. "I know your parents we found both of their bodies." Fallenkit hung his head as crystaline tears fell off his nose. "You can live with me if you want" Azuremist sapoke gently. "*Sniff* okay." As they walked into his cave, Fallenkit looked over his shoulder at the stars and he thought he saw his parents smiling at him from Silverpelt.
