Revolt

Tom
-[ Breed of Cat ]-
Feral
-[ Age ]-
Young adult
-[ Character Description ]-
Revolt's fur is of a dark blonde shade, having paled out due to his illness versus the vibrant gold-red shade it was during his early years. The strands above his forehead are left to fall loose, framing his face down to past his maw. His eyes are a sharp blue, coldly intelligent and revealing nothing of his inner thought processes. His entire demeanor is one of a tom who expects to be listened to and obeyed. He rarely smiles, and when he does, it's usually mocking or more of a smirk of amusement.
-[ Character Personality ]-
Hearing of Revolt and his ways, most cats are of the opinion that he's nothing more than a bratty, spoiled son of a previous leader. That suits him just fine in the end. There's nothing better than catching an enemy off-guard and sending them into a tailspin. In reality, Revolt is a viciously pragmatic tom. If something gets in his way, he will remove it one way or another. Blackmail, bribery, assassination, and other nefarious practices are not beyond his ethical code.
Family is not something Revolt ever has or will hold as important, especially now that he's the only one of his line left. Clan life in his old home is a cutthroat world, and he was quickly taught that family meant nothing. He had entertained thoughts when he was younger of being an asset to his father but after his ideas being ridiculed and then sent all over the place for meaningless business matters, he realized that his father was keeping him well away from the reins of power, the tom perhaps afraid of just how capable Revolt could be.
Once Revolt gets an idea in his head, trying to get it out is like trying to pull a particularly tasty bone from a pit bull. Someone might actually get it away, but they're going to pay a heavy price for it. Driven, Revolt won't give up on a plan until he sees it through to the bitter end. He was taught to be the best and win at all costs. Failing that, he will make sure that his opponent pays a price as high as he does for their win over him.
Contrary to popular belief, Revolt does have a sense of humor. It's just very dry and he usually refuses to show that things amuse him. He likes to be seen as someone above the rest, an idea that was reinforced by his kithood training of what he could and could not do in the public eye. One simply didn't break into laughter; tell inappropriate jokes, or anything of that sort. He was always to conduct himself as a gentleman at least in front of others and that training has stayed with him. This upbringing can also be seen in his fearless demeanor. While he does have things he fears, he will go to great lengths to avoid showing the like. He will never show a weakness for others to pick at or exploit.
Revolt has a presence about him. Even those who don't know him tend to sense that in how he carries himself and act when he enters an area. He's used to being noticed, listened to, and his orders obeyed by this point in his life. This will remain unchanged in the Valley. Locations might change, but the underlying tom himself does not.
-[ Weaknesses]-
Control – Revolt must have control. To lack it irks him, and he will be driven to ensure that he possesses at least some of it somehow even if it's just ordering someone around. He likes structure and meaning to things, not the random or chaos.
Sickness – After suffering from a dangerous virus which struck his home, Revolt became well aware of just how useless all his power and influence can be in the face of a disease. It used to be that he would drive himself to near fainting by continuing with his heavy workload even when sick. Now, he will take the time out to heal before taking all that stress back on.
-[ Character History ]-
The only son of who was disputably the most influential clan leader at his old home, Revolt had all the benefits that came with the position as well as the restrictions. His mother died shortly after he was born, rumored to be a victim of poisoning. She had done her duty by producing an heir, so there was no longer a need for her. This was the world he was born into and shaped a good deal of whom he became.
His early childhood was ruled over by an old she-cat, educating the young heir as well as teaching him how to conduct himself in what his place in society would be. From a young age, his sharp intelligence was easily seen with his ways to get around them as well as his easy grasp of concepts such as fighting and war plans. Upon seeing and hearing of this, his father was caught between approval and a mild worry that instead of having a son he could control, he had a willful son who wanted things done his way. The powerful are often paranoid, always seeing in the shadows others that could take that power from them.
Telling himself that he needed to do better and earn the presence of a tom who was always busy with more important matters, Revolt put himself fully into his learning. This was a cycle that would continue with their relationship into adulthood. The harder Revolt would try, the more distant his father became. It wasn't until he was older that Revolt grasped the idea that his father was afraid of him, or more importantly, what he represented… a changing of the old clan for the new.
Angered by this, Revolt began training a group of felines to assassinate his father. This failed, but he wasn't anywhere near ready to let go of the idea of killing the tom to get his position.
One day while working with the second group he was training, he noticed a black stain around his left paw. More of the spider web patterns of blackness began to appear around his left eye and along his sides.
It was the Disease.
The mad scramble to first identify and then to find the herbs to cure the disease began.
While he lay ill, his father came to visit his stricken son. At this time, the young tom had not fully fallen under the effects of the disease, and he moved like lightning, his claws sinking into his father’s skull.
The reign of the old was over, but before Revolt’s reign could begin he was brutally assaulted. Even gravely ill, he fought savagely in return, but he lost consciousness from the blood loss. The cats who had turned on him, his trained killers, drug the fallen young leader to a river, where they dumped him.
Revolt awoke to find him washed up in a new place, the Valley of the Four Clans. His wounds were mostly healed, and the disease which had plagued him gone.
Here starts his new life. Little does he know, he still carries a deadly disease which lies dormant within his young body, fur turned light golden in hue from it.
