World wise and intelligent; there’s little that Flint hasn’t seen…and also little that she cannot handle. She is a motherly creature, as seen of her adoption of Coyotesummer when she was a mere kit. Slender, she is more quick than powerful; yet her true strength rests in her crafty mind.

Moons after her children left; coyotes from far to the west invaded Valla Gorda lands. A war was raged betweent eh two pack; and all of her pack was wiped out save for her and Coal.

There was nothing left.
So they ran.

Along the journey – hunted down my a crack squad of six coyote assassins from the pack they’d warred with – Coal was spotted by a twoleg and shot. He didn’t seem severely wounded at first; so they continued on.

It was two morning later, when Flint woke to find her mate stiff and cold in death.

Broken by this loss, piled on with the others, Flint continued traveling on; seeking her daughter and son. The last links she has to the past.

Right into the Valley of the Four Clans.

And unbeknownst to her; and to the inhabitants of the valley, six murders still follow close behind…

Note – As mentioned; Flint is a plot device. While we wait for the war to continue on…why not spice some things up? XP

It would just be hysterical if of all the cats she met, she happened to meet Checkmate. I don't know why, either, because Checkmate got chased down and nearly killed by a bunch of 'yotes.
