Breed of Cat (If any): Egyptian Mau!
Age (if not years, just kit, young, adult, elder, etc will work): adult- 2 years old
Character Personality: Wary, but not fearful. He approaches new things with a good dose of caution, but it doesn't keep him from approaching them. Does not adjust to new things well, he'd rather things just not change. He tends to get very quiet and more wary than usual if things are chaotic and ever changing. He's sweet tempered, but like most, will fight if provoked. Checkmate does not do well with people trying to control him, and for this reason he's hesitated joining a clan- he doesn't really like being told what to do. I suppose the correct word would be a free spirit... He's very logical.
Character History: Dunno. He was born a rogue, a feral in a neighborhood, but his parents left him when he was old enough to look after himself. That was when he decided change was a bad thing- he wasn't so good at taking care of himself, and was hungry more often than not, but he's learned. Then the people in the neighborhood chased the cats out of the neighborhood, into the wilds. Checkmate lost track of any of the cats he'd known, and was chased down and nearly killed by some coyotes before he found a new place to call home- so now he's settling in to being a Rogue in the valley, and steering clear of these clans he's heard of, at least for now.
