Character’s Name: Hawkeye
Gender: Tom
Breed of Cat: Maine Coon x Himalayan cross
Age: Adult [49 moons]
Character Description: A large, long-haired orange tom. His fluffy pelt is water-resistant, as given to him by his Maine Coon father. He has a sharp, piercing golden gaze – quite intense and wild. Hence the name ‘Hawkeye’.
Character Personality: A wild and brave soul. Although he was wayward and hard to control in his younger days, he is now a sturdy block of sensible advice and experience. He is extremely devoted to his mate Oddeye, even leaving his previous clan to be with her.
Character’s Name: Oddeye
Gender: She-cat
Breed of Cat: Turkish Angora
Age: Adult [24 moons]
Character Description: A small, delicately framed short-furred snow white she-cat. She is completely blind in her left eye and about 90 percent blind in the right. Her left eye is milky white in color, the right an emerald green. Hence the name ‘Oddeye’. She is not naturally blind; she was struck with a feline illness which is whittling away her sight, and shutting down her internal organs. She is dying.
Character Personality: As loyal to Hawkeye as he is to her, Oddeye left warm food, comfort, her own home and life as a kittypet to be with him. She is a gentle soul, not much of a warrior, even less so now that she’s so sick. She is motherly, wise, and always has an open ear for any cat who needs to express problems, or just needs to vent. She is always there.
Character’s Name: Dodgepaw
Gender: Tom
Breed of Cat: Maine Coon x Himalayan x Turkish Angora cross
Age: Apprentice [eight moons]
Character Description: He has semi-long white fur, his face framed by a very pale orange mask and pale orange tips to his ears. His eyes are a deep, oceanic blue, flecks of silvery gray hinting within their depths and only intensifying the color.
Character Personality: Dodgepaw is one of the nicest felines you will meet. He is a great friend to anyone who wishes to be his friend, and he is kind, caring, and nice to almost anyone, never getting in many arguments or confrontations. In fact, he is usually the one that has to break up these kinds of brawls. One of the brightest apprentices, he is loyal to his training, and puts it above all other things, including his personal life. He has a hard work ethic, and will constantly be doing some kind of either physical or mental strain.
Dodgepaw's social skills are close to non-existent, at best. He can talk easily and constantly with his family, but the females [much less female apprentices] are another story. He is nervous and stutters a bit around females his own age.
History for all: Hawkeye was born to Wildclan, far far to the south of the four clans. He was a regular warrior, perhaps a bit more stubborn and reckless than most.
Until the day he met a kind little kittypet named Snowy.
Smitten, he eventually convinced the she-cat to come with him, to forsake her owners and return to Wildclan by his side as his mate.
Goldenstar, the clan leader, did not appreciate the presence of the kittypet. He demanded an explanation, and, as Hawkeye’s didn’t appease the bitter tom, he gave then two options. Either the she-cat leave his territory, and Hawkeye never see her again…or they both left.
Hawkeye didn’t bat an eye at the decision, he chose his new mate over his clan with simple ease, and they left the area, heading north. He called upon Starclan, begging their forgiveness before speaking the words to change Snowy’s name to Oddeye.
By their time, the she-cat was already blind in her left eye, and was starting to show signs of the illness. She remained strong, determined, but it was difficult. She was quite dependent on Hawkeye.
Soon, she kitted, however her weakened body only had enough spare energy to give in producing one healthy kit. Dodgekit.
On they traveled, ever going north. Dodgekit soon became Dodgepaw, and for two moons Hawkeye has taken his son’s mentoring upon himself, although it bothers him because Dodgepaw could learn more variety if he had a different mentor.
Both Oddeye and Hawkeye have kept Oddeye’s illness a secret, so that Dodgepaw doesn’t know the severity of it. The apprentice is sharper than they give him credit for, although he doesn’t know what is wrong he does know something is wrong.
