Appearance
Broke has nondescript gray fur; she is not at all pretty, though she is a few scars shy of ugly. She only has half a tail, since the rest was torn off in an...accident. The aforementioned tail has also been broken twice and is noticeably kinked.
Her shaggy pelt is marked by dozens of scars.
Though her nose and pawpads are supposed to be pink, one paw's pads are a scorched black.

Personality
Broke can be seen as kind and generous much of the time. If she sees a fellow cat in need, she'll usually give them a hand...er, paw, unless helping out means endangering herself. In that case, she'll keep herself out of harm's way. She can be very careless at times, and has no problems talking about her past. She can be very outspoken about her philosophies, but she doesn't mock another cat for their ideals.
She gives her loyalty to no cat; her trust is a difficult thing to gain, as she tends to distrust her fellows as a whole. She likes cats, but she doesn't trust them.
She has no problems with killing; for a price, she'll kill any cat you ask her to.

History
Broke was born not too far away. Her kithood was fairly ordinary but as a young cat, she joined a gang.
Think the mafia, but with cats.
She served as an enforcer/assasin, which may explain her ability to kill without remorse.
The black pawpad was something she attained in a gang ritual. A initiation, sort of. The gang hunted down a hot surface, and each wannabe member was told to place their right front paw on said hot surface.
Any cat that could hold their paw there until it was burned black, despite the pain, became a full member.
Her life continued on without incident, until she was framed.
Her gang turned against her, ready to kill her; Broke barely escaped with her life.
From the on, she kept her guard up around her fellow cats.

Personality
Afia has a sharp tongue and a wicked sense of humor, but she is warmhearted and generally helpful. She'll call you out if you make a mistake or do something stupid, but she's generally fairly forgiving. She tends to be cynical and sarcastic. She's very clever, like a fox. xD

History
Afia had a problem-- twolegs seemed to delight in chasing her with guns.
She was running from them one day, when she rounded a bend and ran right into a dead end. A tree had fallen across her path, and there was no way she would be able to get past it alive.
A grizzled gray she-cat saved her life; Broke charged the twoleg and took it by suprise. She clawed their face, and the twoleg -who was merely a teen- ran in shock.
Afia thanked Broke, and Broke invited the fennec to eat some prey and calm herself before going on.
Well, the two hit it off pretty well, and from then on they travelled together. They're both a bit odd.
