[+p e r s o n a+] She is a mute. Selissa cannot speak, as her vocal chords were damaged severely in the fight of her life. She seems to have a telepathic connection with her pine marten Clio, and while she cannot say things verbally, her eyes betray her emotions quite clearly, and Clio can say what she needs to say for her. He has learned to speak cat, and while his language isn't perfect, he knows how to form sentences and such!
Selissa used to talk a lot, and seemed to take her ability of speech for granted. She is passionate, and won't avoid a good fight, but also very emotional and sensitive and often takes words the wrong way -- and then she cannot tell the offender what they've done wrong. Selissa shows a cat when they've hurt her feelings quite plainly -- she will turn her nose up at them, leave when they come into an area, etcetera!
[+s t o r y+] Selissa only remembers that she fought a badger at only five moons, and survived only because Silas, Clio, and five other cats nursed her intensely for a few weeks. Her vocal chords were extremely damaged and now she cannot speak!

[+p e r s o n a+] Silas, unlike his sister Selissa, will always try to get out of a fight by talking things out -- but perhaps that is why Selissa wants to fight, she can't talk. Silas could be described as somewhat a coward, and gets frightened very easily, but he is just a fidgety kind of caring cat. He can't bear to see other cats being hurt, and blood often makes him sick!
