Name: Saigon
Age: Maybe 20 moons
Gender: tom
Description: Saigon is an odd cat. He has Sphynx blood and thus has unusually short fur. He has very large ears, which look even larger with his lack of long fur. His pelt is pure black.
Most of the time his eyes are an even, sapphire blue. However, when his personalities switch, his eye colo does as well.
Dark blue, so deep they often look black, occurs when he shifts to his Kaslin persona.
Pale light-blue signifies Chalin.
Personaility: Saigon is a cat with three different personalities:
Saigon is often timid and fearful around many cats, mostly the ones he senses are 'evil.' *coughcoughBanecough* Deep down, he is a good cat who wants nothing more than freedom, for better or worse. He hates killing, but if he had to, he'd do it.
Kaslin is fierce and ruthless. This part of Saigon almost enjoys the killing. When Saigon is ordered to hunt down another cat, Kaslin is usually the one who takes over. Kaslin hates cats who kill without need, ironically, and in this state he is volatile and likely to blow up. Even his voice is different in this stage; it is harsher and full of pent-up rage.
Chalin is the brave one. When he takes over his massive hatred of injustice, of needless killing and 'evil' cats often leads him to speak out or even attack them. Chalin acts selflessly, and would risk his life to save another cat, even many enemies, as much as he hates them.
History: When Saigon was young, living far away, his parents and most of his family were killed in cold blood by a band of rogues known as the Blood-Drinkers.
Saigon was left with his brother, who took care of him for several moons after.
However, one night, the Blood-Drinkers came back. Saigon and his brother Mauwi fought courageously, but in the end they were captured and Mauwi was killed.
The Blood-Drinkers spared Saigon because he was a talented fighter and may have been young enough to mold into a cat loyal to them, a kind of servant.
He was brought to the Blood-Drinkers headquarters, and from that day on he lived there as a prisoner.
His rules were these: He could not run away or disobey an order given by a Blood-Drinker, nor could he harm a Blood-Drinker in any way, on pain of death.
He was the lowliest of cats. Even the Blood-Drinker kits ranked higher than him. Many of the crueler Blood-Drinkers enjoyed taking out any of their anger on him, until he became covered in scars.
When he was told to kill, he did it because he was afraid to disobey.
His hatred of the Blood-Drinkers grew and grew until it threatened to overwhelm him.
One day, Saigon had been ordered to destroy a traitor. Saigon couldn't do it, and at that very moment he snapped.
He began to rage, and he killed two Blood-Drinkers before he could be subdued.
Their leader, Red Claw, punished him, and warned him that if he tried that again he would die slowly and painfully. The only reason he didn't die that night was because he was useful to the Blood-Drinkers.
Thus Kaslin and Chalin were born.
Whenever Saigon was ordered to kill, Kaslin emerged and did the deed for him. Saigon could remember what he had done as Kaslin and Chalin, but only vaguely, and so he was protected from the guilt of having to kill.
When he fought, it was as Chalin or Kaslin. They protected him. They were not him, so their crimes were not his.
It was all that kept him from another breakdown.
Moons upon Moons passed, and Saigon was made to kill again.
But the cat he was meant to execute was a mirror image of Mauwi. Saigon, even as Kaslin, couldn't do it. He outright refused, and the Blood-Drinkers took him away to torture and then kill him.
As they took him away, he could see Red Claw kill the cat.
For the second time in his life, he snapped. He killed Red Claw and three other cats, finally fleeing in terror. When he came to his senses he knew he had to move far away, because Blackfire, the Blood-Drinker deputy, would want nothing more than to hunt Saigon down and kill him.
Saigon fled. He ended up here, and decided to stay, and maybe make a better life for himself.
