There was a place far, far away from the valley of the Clans. They lived by the ocean, and they were OceanClan, CaveClan, TideClan, and SandClan. Pinknose and Brownclaw were from CaveClan and OceanClan, but they met at a Gathering and fell in love. It wasn't 'love at first sight'; they kept meeting at boundary patrol by accident, and they - like mentioned before - fell in love. Pinknose's best friend Flaxengold was having her kits, fathered by a rogue father, and she left the Clan. Pinknose followed her, and lived by where she and Glee were staying until Widow, Tag, and Jump left.

Pinknose went into OceanClan territory to find Brownclaw, but he had forgotten about her - he said 'he never fell in love with a CaveClanner'. That would be against the warrior code. Pinknose went to live with Glee and Flaxengold, who were happy to see her. Finally her kits were born: Two. One was a beautiful silvery she-cat, while the other was a reddish brown tom. Pinknose named them Mooncloud and Sunsky, and Glee and Flaxengold helped to raise them. But when they were six moons old, they wanted to leave, go find out what was in the world.

Mooncloud and Sunsky left their mother and her friends, but they missed her fiercely. They found the valley of the Clans, and Mooncloud - as she knew much about herbs - became medicine cat of TreeClan. Sunsky went to MistClan and found himself as a young warrior.
