Personality: Tough and protective, ready to defend her brother at all costs. Timid and shy, very unsure of himself. Caring and cautious about strangers. Eager to make friends, but worried about getting hurt.
History: Fauna and Dualvirtue were both born of the same mother, but at different times. Fauna was born 3 years before Dualvirtue, to their mother Dawn. Dawn was a feral cat who lived in an old abandoned building with several other cats. Twolegs would often leave food for them and they survived without too much hardship. Fauna never found out who her father was, since the feral cats weren't anything like Clan cats and rarely socialized except to mate. She was born with two other kits, but they both died from a tick-contracted disease. After living with her mother as an only child for 3 years, Dawn mated again and then gave birth to Dualvirtue.

Not long after Dualvirtue was born, the twoleg government decided that the house the cats were staying in was unsafe and needed to be demolished. The ASPCA came to round up the cats and take them to their shelter, both to save them from the destruction and to try to find them new homes. Dawn was terrified as the twolegs began to take the cats from the house. When they came for her and her children, she fought with them, but they managed to get a catchpole on her and took her away. Fauna didn't know what to do, but she knew she didn't want to be captured. Thinking fast, she picked up her helpless baby brother and carried him away from the chaos. Once they were free of the twolegs, Fauna knew they were on their own and she was left to care for her infant brother. A powerful maternal instinct took over and she actually came into a phantom pregnancy and began producing milk for Dualvirtue. He survived this way for moons, with Fauna catching her own food whenever she could.

For 3 years they lived this way, travelling deeper into the forest with every passing year. Unfortunately, because Fauna was not his real mother, her milk was not as strong as it needed to be and Dualvirtue developed slowly and slightly weaker than he should have. Ever since he could open his eyes, his sister has been his entire world and because of this he always wants to be close to her. His attachment and frailty make it hard for him to adjust to new things, but his ultimate wish is to find friends his own age and Fauna wants nothing more than a permanent place to call home.
Anything else: For the moment, these two are inseparable and Dualvirtue's name is often shortened to Dual or DV.
