Pinepaw shivered , she felt strangely exposed in the moonlight . her thin , dull pelt looked like someone has spilled silver paint over it . She sniffed cautiously at the scent line for the fifteenth time to make sure she had the right clan " h-h-hello?" she murmered into the dark forest , hoping someone would hear her .

OOC: Just FYI, you should really pay attention to your sentence structure and grammar. You had several places where you forgot to capitalize, use the correct tense, etc. Also, in the future your posts should be longer than this. A mottled coat of white, ginger, and saffron shifted over taught muscles. The MistClan leader was a large cat, but not at all heavy. She was pure muscle and grace from the tip of her tail to the toes on her paws. As she patrolled the ever-busy borders of her territory, she heard a tiny voice cry out. Walking towards the sound she found a kit sitting on the exact spot where her dawn patrol had marked the boundary line.
"Why are you out here alone young kit? she asked.
Do you not have parents that are worried for you?" |

Pinepaw shivered again , her tiny body shuddering. " I ran away " she mewed, crouching lower to the ground at the memory of being shoved into the bathtub "and i never knew my parents" she added as she looked at the other cat nervously . Her back and tail twitched with anxiety as she realised how much bigger the other cat was " who are you ?" she murmered , half afraid , half hoping this cat would take her somewhere safe.

MistClan's leader eyed the kit curiously. She seemed afraid and unsure of where she was.
"My name is Lillystar and I am the leader of MistClan, a group of cats who live together here in the valley," she explained, her tail swishing thoughtfully. |

Pinepaw looked up " Th-thats a n-nice name" she meowed , licking the fur on her back in an attempt to warm herself up. Then, sitting up she looked at Lillystar hopefully,
" A-are the cats you l-live with n-nice?" she managed to squeek out before a shudder ran up her back and she began to lick her fur again.

Lillystar looked over the kit's untidy fur and noted her stuttering speech. The tiny she-cat was as nervous as a newborn mouse being presented before an owl. Feeling empathy for the youngster, the mottled she-cat lowered her head so that they were at the same eye level.
"I think they are, yes," she said. "Little one, what's your name?" |

" M-my name i-is Lexi" pinepaw managed to stammer before another shiver ran up her back. "O-or at l-least thats what m-my housefolk c-called me" she added, curling her skinny tail over her paws.

Oh, so this one had been a kittypet. That would explain her scrawny size and complete lack of knowledge about the forest.
"Why did you leave your twolegs at such a young age?" she asked, surprised that one so young and tender would be out here alone. "You must have realized the valley is no place for a soft little twoleg kitty..." |

" T-They almost d-drowned me" Pinepaw squeaked, shaking uncontrollably at the memories of her lungs filling with water.
"And I didn't care where I ran , I just ran" she murmered when the shaking subsided. The shaking had warmed her up a little bit too. " Thats kinda how i ended up here" she added, looking hopefully at Lillystar.

The kit's words shocked Lillystar. She knew twolegs could be dangerous and intrusive, but never did she think that they would go out of their way to kill cats!
"Dear StarClan...they tried to murder you?!" she exclaimed, barely believing her own words. "You need someone to take care of you...perhaps my clan can be of help, would you like to become a part of MistClan?"
The leader stood quietly, letting the frightened kit have a moment with her thoughts. |

Pinepaw tilted her head. She definitely wouldnt mind some company and a nice dry bed would do her good. Pinepaw looked up at Lillystar and smiled slightly " Yes please" she meowed, twitching her whiskers.

The tall leader regarded the kit with kind eyes, their molten gold color swirling in the sunshine. Yet another apprentice for MistClan, but at least they had some new warriors that could mentor her. It had been so long since the clans had gathered, the war ruining their peace. She hoped she would be able to bring her new clanmates to the next gathering and show the other clans how strong they were.
"We have to pass across a small outcrop of rock to get into the camp, otherwise we'd have to pass right through the waterfall...of course you might still get a little wet," she told the kit. "Part of living in MistClan is learning not to fear water."
Lillystar began forward, walking at a calm pace so that the kit could keep up.
"We'll have to give you a proper clan name as well, not the silly thing the twolegs were calling you...if you're old enough to be apprenticed then your name will end in 'paw,' as is our tradition. She looked the she-cat over again, noting her pretty green eyes.

" I dont mind being wet" Pinepaw meowed, bouncing slightly with excitement. " And i like Pinepaw, it's much better than Lexi" she added, shuddering slightly at her old name. She stood up and experimentally up her paw an inch over the boarder. 'Cool!' she thought, looking back over her shoulder at Lillystar.
