Shadowclaw shifted his green eyes as he padded to a root at the MistClan boundries. A small she-kit stumbled beside him. He muffled a purr, and set her down on the root. "How long will this take?" he whispered, licking a black paw.He opened his jaws to scent the air for other cats. Shadowclaw did not scent cats, only a strong scent of vole. His paws itched to hunt but he scolded himself and meowed softly," No! This is not Rouge Meadow. This is MistClan. I cannot hunt here.... not yet."

Flowers color her fur...
A tall, mottled she-cat stepped up to the very edge of the MistClan border. She was long-limbed and slender; her white coat emblazoned with saffron and ginger-colored flowers. Scenting the strangers, she stepped through the low-hanging mist and came face to face with them.
"I am Lillystar, leader of the clan whose lands you have reached," she said calmly. "What brings you to my borders?"

Shadowclaw bowed his head and swept Crystal with his tail." I would like to join your clan. I am Shadowclaw, and this is my compaian, Crystal." Crystal was waving her tail and mewing,"Oh, goody! A clan! Shadowclaw, is that the thing with warriors and leaders and other kits?" Shadowclaw wanted to make her hush, but he thought of how clever Crystal was, knowing all these things about clans.

Lillystar regarded the tom and his kit traveling companion. They definetely needed a good meal and a warm place to sleep. She had so many kits being apprenticed right now, and she honestly hoped that this kit was too young to be apprenticed...at least for now. Her warm heart was willing to take them in no matter the cost, but her mind kept getting in the way. It was leaf fall and the weather would only get colder, and prey only more scarce. If she were to admit these two into her clan, then they would have to be hard workers.
"Leaf bare is almost upon us, and everything will be harder to come by very soon..." she said ruefully. "More mouths to feed will make everything harder still...so I will allow you to join, but only if you promise me that you will work hard, to gather food and take care of your clanmates." "Even the little one can help."
The tall leader sat down and wrapped her fluffy tail over her paws, waiting to see what they would say.

"Thank you, Lilystar. I promise we shall work as hard as the rest of the clan, no matter what," Shadowclaw mewed, as Crystal sang," We're going to a clan! We're going to a clan!" Shadowclaw looked warmly at Crystal. She was so free spirited, even through the coming leafbare.

OOC: Now you can post in the main camp, and we'll consider this post thread closed. Please DON'T post in the thread called "Let's get back on track" because a clan meeting is going on there. Make a new thread or post in another and wait for someone to reply. Please be patient because many of the people on this site are high school or college students and are very busy.
