Wintry sunlight filtered through the trees, dappling the ferns in the clearing below. Birdsong rang cheerily among the leaves and there were many scuffling sounds underneath the hedgerows, the prey was obviously plentiful. The ferns swayed and crackled as a young Siamese she-cat emerged from within them. Her light, troubled gaze swept the clearing, taking in the new sights and smells. She sat down and ran a paw over her ear, calming herself. Her ears flicked back and forth at every sound, her half pelt bristling with a mixture of fear and anticipation.
She would know soon. One way or the other.

The undergrowth was beginning to grow back after the mild winter. The forest floor had become more springy and wet from the melting of snow and frost, and the forest became a more vibrant color of sage, slowly making it's way into deep emerald.
This is what Amberstar had in mind as she stepped carefully down a narrow and well-trodden on trail between some thick trees, hopping gently over gnarled roots, only to land with a muffled sound back on the ground. Drops of water sprinkled from the canopy above from the rain that had occured last night, and she was seeing to it that she got proper excersize.
Troubled breathing came from just down the path, and Amberstar just got the twitch of a branch as something passed by it. She narrowed her eyes curiously and trotted into view of the young siamese she, quirking her head to the side.

Rookwing was completely unaware of the amber cats presence nearby. That was, until she stepped out into the young cats line of vision. 'Oh great tail-fluff!' she stammered, her heart pounding with fear at this sudden company. 'You.. you startled me. I didn't know you were there...' the battered cat took several shaky, panicked breaths. Her confidence had not fully returned to her, and she suspected her brutal haircut did little for her image, but she took it as a good sign that the she-cat had not attacked her on sight. She looked up at the cat standing before her, she had a curious expression on her face, head tilted to the side in a quizzical fashion. When she did not speak, Rookwing thought perhaps she should make the first move. 'Hello.. my name's Rookwing. I.. I don't want to be rude or anything, but I would like to join a, a Clan is it? Somewhere nice. You.. umm, wouldn't know of a place would you?' she smiled tentatively, a brave attempt at friendliness in an unkown environment.

Oh great tail fluff! Amberstar retreated back in alarm a couple steps, ears flat against her skull in shock. She had been greeted in many ways before, and 'Oh great tail fluff' she could say with confidence was never a greeting she'd had before.
After getting her bearings back in order, she flattened her fur and her own 'great tail fluff' and regarded the flustered she-cat with curious impassiveness.
She gave a curt nod of her head. I would know of a 'Clan' you seek; i'm Amberstar, leader of Treeclan. What is it, exactly, that you would like with one of these clans you seek? She asked kindly, quirking her head to the side, tail flicking.

(OoC: xD 'Oh great tail fluff' is her version of 'Oh great StarClan' as she doesn't believe in that kind of thing! =D)
The newcomers light gaze considered Amberstar for a few seconds as she thought about the question. She was never one to speak without thinking. 'Well... Acceptance I suppose, somewhere I can call home where cats are nice to me... I don't expect friends though.. cats have never liked me much.' Rookwing looked thoroughly downcast at her last statement, but the fact remained that it was true - most cats in the Tribe had avoided her company. The light Siamese ran a paw over her ear again whilst twitching her tail-tip, washing had always comforted her.
If only everyone was as nice as Amberstar.. she thought absent-mindedly, TreeClan sounds nice..

Amberstar raised her head, slightly in shock, but more in contemplation. Amberstar was never a cat to deny a home to another when they needed it, so long as they followed the Warrior Code. She flicked her tail.
You must have come from troubled times... No worries, however. All Cats under my rule will treat you with respect, or they will have me to deal with She said patiently. If it is a home you seek, then it is a home I will give you, so long as your loyalty is to me and my Clan, and your fellow Warriors She said, rising to her feet to stare Rookwing in the eye. Too many problems with betrayals... Too many cats whose many fates where their paws were led away from Treeclan.

Rookwing met Amberstars gaze and nodded once at her words, 'I'll be loyal Amberstar, thank you so much.' Her words were few and really quite bland, but her bright sparkling blue eyes gave away what this offer really meant to her - a home, one she could call her own, somewhere to belong.. She gave her chest a few quick licks (avoiding the green patch, which had never tasted nice) and got to her paws, standing quietly and politely, ready to follow wherever Amberstar was about to lead.

(OoC: Quick question - is she accepted yet or not? If she is I'll get posting with her elsewhere around TreeClan, but I've never been quite sure.. ^^
