The first rays of dawn light lit up the sky, as a massive she-cat padded slowly up towards the rocks marking Stone Clans border. It was clear she was only days from kitting. The enormous feline stopped just short of the rocks and lay down with a heaving sigh. Twonose hadn't expected to be traveling so late into her pregnancy, this clan was her last hope to have a real home for her kits. She was a strange cat in colour, tabby stripes along her back, with a white belly and legs. Although she had eaten barely an hour before, the effort of dragging her heavy frame up the long hill had exhausted her and she felt famished. She lay back, flicking her tail and closing her eyes, 'A rest will do me good.' she thought..

Snowstar could remember what it was like to tire with the arduous borders of Stoneclan, the daunting task of making their way up the rocky slope to get to the well-guarded Camp. Afterall, the petite little black leader wasn't born in this clan, as most presumed. Many moons ago, she was accepted by the prior Clan Leader Featherstar, and when appointed deputy after Frosteye left, and appointed Leader after Featherstar disappeared.
So she could relate when she saw a young she-cat, her date clearly almost being due, and she rushed down the slope from rock to rock with amazing ease to ensure the soon-to-be Queen didn't hurt herself seeking shelter. Greetings, young she-cat. What brings you to Stoneclan? She inquired pleasantly, but her curiosity was well-guarded with sharp eyes and complex expressions.

Twonose quickly opened her eyes and looked up at the sound of a friendly voice. Sitting up as fast as possible, given her state, she bowed her head to the small black cat, as she knew she was supposed to. 'Greetings. My name is Twonose, I am a wanderer but, should you accept me, I wish to find a home in your clan for myself and my kits'. She felt rather bad, asking for acceptance into a clan when she knew she would be of no use for at least a moon or two. 'I know that in my current state' she started, 'I will be of no real use to your clan. But once my kits are old enough, I promise I shall I help hunt and will always be loyal to you. Please, wont you help me?' Twonose looked pleadingly into the she-cats eyes before respectfully averting her gaze and focusing on the floor by the strangers feet, waiting patiently for her reply.

Snowstar quirked her head to the side and gave a light smile. It was for two reasons that she relaxed.
One was that Snowstar was big on respect. While she didn't command respect, she was more willing to give it when received. Clearly this she-cat knew her manners. Secondly, Snowstar could plainly see she was pregnant, and not accustomed to the surroundings of rocky surfaces and steep inclines, if not combined in some parts. If she felt the need to attack her or her clan, Snowstar could just as easily leap away.
Twonose, the biggest gift any cat can give her clan is kits. You will be welcomed into my Clan with no questions and no disregards, under the circumstances you work hard, you obey the Warrior Code, and you do not betray those which accept you today. Do not worry yourself over being helpful, dear one. Loyalty is the most effective way of helping your clan.
I am Snowstar, and a pleasure it is to make your acquaintance, Twonose.

Twonose blinked in surprise. 'Thank you Snowstar' she smiled gently, 'a pleasure it is to meet you too. I will do my very best to comply with your conditions, and after this great favour you have done me, there will be no question of my loyalty to you.' She bowed her head again, flicking her ears forward in a friendly way and relaxing more than she had done in weeks. Here, at last, was a home.
