Her yellow eyes flicked cautiously back and forth, watching for any sign of movement in the rocks around them. Her ear were pricked forward and swiveled back and forth like small satellite dished atop her gray and white head. Her paws ached a bit from the rough rocks beneath her feet, but she said nothing and pressed onward, ever alert for any signs of danger. She glanced down now and again at her two kits, Nightkit and Tigerkit, reassuring herself again and again that they were following closely.
"Come along, kits! Stay close to me!" she called to them, glancing over her light gray shoulder at her two kits as they followed her up the rocks.
She bent her head to smell the stones beneath her. Smell clung loosely to them, but it spoke of many cats. She knew that she was somewhere near her destination, the boundry line of the Stoneclan camp. She looked hopefully across the scent line and into the rocks beyond, her eyes searching them for any signs of fellow cats. She sat and swiped her rough tongue across her left forepaw and began to wash her whiskers as a nervous habit. She tried her best to now allow her kits to see her stress, but in moments like this, with her precious little followers so close to a possibly hostile clan scent line, she couldn't stop her hackles raising just a hair and start her nervous washing habit. She only hoped she'd made the right desision by coming her, by seeking safe haven from this clan.

A flash of black and a flick of sage green. Light pawpads glided smoothly over rocks, leaping from each surface to the next. It made no more sound than rain. No rocks were even loosened as she jumped from stone to stone. It was clear this she-cat was well at home here, and her lithe and tiny body was accustomed to the terrain.
The mother was soon approached by this she-cat, black from head to snout. A white dash ran over her paws and tail-tip, and a tell-tale mark on her chest like a blaze of fire. Her sage eyes were keen and intelligent, making up for her small stature. She was the tiniest Clan Leader in the valley, but by far the least powerful.
You and your kits are welcome, stranger, so long as you mean us no harm. What brings you to StoneClan? I am Snowstar, leader from here to the stones too high to climb on this mountain.
