The black tom stalked through the bushes.There seemed to be nobody else there, but he knew better than to let his gaurd down. None the less, he was tired, so he sat down and began to lick his white tail. The sky had ripples of blue, pink, and orange. It was a beautiful sight, to watch the colors ripple and dance around each other. And in the middle, was the bright yellow sun.

It was the time of day that Lostwing would visit Darknote. She would explain to her sister later. She ran through the forest, splashing across the river to see Darknote.

The tom enjoyed this morning display of colors, and continued to stare at it, tail curved over his paws. The sloshing of the nearby river, usually adding to the beautiful performance, had gone out of tune and raged about. He sighed. it was only the music to add to the performance, anyways.

Darknote coked his head. Lostwing was so clumsy. But he was fine with that. "Hello, Lostwing," he mewed, not yet ready to break the news he had just made up in his head. " How are you, other than being wet?"
