The dark grey she cat wearily stepped into the meadow. The first thing that hit her was the smell of many cats. How could so many cats stay here? Where Whisper came from, other cats where a bad thing, always starting fights and taking things that weren't there's. But that was there, this was now and Whisper wanted to push those times away. The exhausted cat almost collapsed where she was standing, but she didn't want any cat to see her as that weak. She kept a steady eye on the bushes and nose in the air as she sat down. This was her relaxing time, tense and ready to run. When Whisper finally started to calm down she took in the other scents, other then cats there seemed to be plenty of prey and water. Every place had its ups and downs and that included this place. She had only just got here but this place seemed ok at first glance. My brother would of loved this place... She shook her head, she knew she shouldn't think like that, but she couldn't forget that cat, no matter what. She was finally able to drift to sleep, but even it was light and filled with worry and her ears perked right up ready for the slightest disturbance.

Ahhh, but this was Rogue Meadows. Very rarely did seeing another cat out here mean that it was a good thing. Whisper's assumations were correct. Of course, you did occasionally come across your good cat, here or there. Rogue Meadows were filled with all kinds of varying types of cats; murderers, loners, the sweet ones looking for a clan.
Felony was none of these things. It didn't mean that seeing him was a good thing, but at least you could be rest assured that he wouldn't cut your throat in your sleep. He was, just simply... A grouch. Like that old crotchety man that lived down the street.
And on most occasions, Felony travelled with his fellow old-crotchety-man, Grim.
He padded along quietly, thick fur brushing along the thick strands of the tall grass, ears rotating comfortably as he stepped out... And almost stumbled into a sleeping female. Perhaps she may or may not have heard him, but as he trotted out into this small spot where the grass was sparse and he could see, he let out a furious and startled yowl, fur along his spine bursting out like a balloon.
'choo doin' in Rogue Meadows, she-kitty? S'not safe to sleep out here, you can get eaten He hissed irritably, eyes narrowing, and his teeth bared in agitation. He was old, he was crotchety, and when he sprang upon unsuspecting she-cats it put him in a bad mood.
Where was Grim, so they could be in a bad mood together?

The ginger she-cat padded catiously through the tall grass, glancing around every now and again to make sure she wasn't being watched. Ailuru was now safe from the threat of Twolegs; but she could scent numerous cats. She hadn't yet had any confrontations with other cats since entering the valley; but she'd rather be safe than sorry. After all; she had only been in the valley for a few weeks now. She had no way of knowing who or what she might run into. After meandering for a while; Ailru entered a small clearing in the field of tall grass. She stiffened nervously at the sight of the two other cats; unsure of what to do.

Whisper was sleeping soundly when the voice of a grouchy cat startled her. Her fur almost leaped out of her skin when she heard a yowl, but she saw it was just one cat, how bad could one cat be? But something he said disturbed her, "What do you mean something could eat me? I didn't notice anything that dangerous." Except cats, but she didn't mention that. she didn't want this cat to see that she was scared, though it was probably to late for that. Then she saw another cat. How many cats actually live here? "Who are you?" She said to both of the cats, she didn't think they would attack her, they would of done that while she was sleeping, but she could never really understand why other cats did things.

Well, Grim had been in the area, and he heard a cat's raspy yowls and complaints. Who could it be? None other than his best friend, of course. “Shut up Felony an' let the poor gal sleep, she's obviously new here,” he snarled at his buddy. But then, what the hell was he saying? “But you,” Grim grunted, “You really shouldn' be out here all by yerself, silly goose, what're yah doin'? What the hell're yah thinkin'.”
Then another sound made him whip around, his long, matted grey fur snagging a branch in the bushes. “Who the hell're you?!” Grim snarled, moving closer to Felony. His best buddy made him feel just a tiny bit safer, although he would never, never admit it. He was supposed to be a loner, after all; friendships weren't normal. “The hell is all this, a rand'm li'l planned meetin' that I wasn' aware 'f?” he grumbled, turning around and laying on his side beside Felony.
Grim closed his eyes. He wasn't afraid of these cats one bit, and he knew that his friend would nudge him or something if they decided to jump at him. “Fel'ny, what're you doin' out here anyways?” he asked of Felony, not moving or opening his eyes.

Ailuru's shoulders slackened. "Oh, sorry." She meowed; embarassed. "Um hello, my name's Ailuru." She sat down, and flicked her ringed tail back and forth anxiously. Ailuru's green eyes darted from the dark grey she-cat to the tom, as she waited for a response.

Whisper's head jerked to Grim when he first appeared. How many cats live here? She looked around to see if any other cats would appear out of nowhere, three other cats that she didn't know was already making her anxious. She didn't need another cat to find itself in the clearing. She could tell that the two toms where friends, or at least knew each other, but the other cat, Ailuru seemed as much of a stranger to them as it did to her. Finally she pulled out the courage to say, "Is it that obvious that I just came here?"

"Well you see; I've only been in the valley for a short time, and I've just kind of been wandering around." Ailuru explained. "I don't really know where I'm going honestly, and I didn't realize that someone was here at first." "Sorry if I bothered you."

At the sound of his friend's words, a wide grin stretched across his mud-brown jaws, and he turned to face him, tail curling. Despite the harsh tone of the tom, Felony welcomed him with a toothy grin, large canines showing sharply against his other teeth.
He was about to speak when another cat showed up, another female. As Grim gave a hiss, so did Felony, fur arching and his ears pinned back. Until he realized it was another female, he grumbled and sat down, Grim laying down at his side. He leaned lightly on his friend, not being the only one slightly relieved to have his friend around.
Not to say he couldn't hold his own, but when there was trouble he could rely on Grim to watch his back. As Felony would do the same for him in the same situation, despite the unusuality of it, the two being loners. And despite Felony's usual tendency to care only for his own.
Came down 'round lookin' fer a bite to eat. Shame i'm not tha' fond of eatin' cats; but dun be fooled, there be plen'y other cats who would kill fer a meal o' catblood ou' here He murmured, aiming his last statement at the two she-cats.
Whispers question made him laugh out loud, and he looked at her with an appraising look. 'course it is, fer both o' ya. Yer first mistake, young miss, was sleepin'. Always be on yer guard 'round here, not always so many cats who'd be as nice as us two.
Yer second mistake is the surprise at seeing so many cats here; i'm surprised you havn't come 'cross more already. Wut with all these 'clans' forming and cats bumbling about. Pah!

Whisper was very shocked to find that cats ate each other, it was very sickening . It felt like her face was frozen, but she shook it off, she never wanted to show weakness. Maybe her brother wouldn't like this place after all... That made her shudder, she must remember not to think like that."But how could cats eat each other, it's like they are savages..." Her voice trailed off for a second, she was deep in thought. If these cats eat each other, then it will be like foxes and badgers, only that I communicate with them, but..., That's how her thoughts where thinking how bad cannibal cats where, it kept going back and fourth weather they where worst then the already present dangers. When Felony started laughing she soon joined in. "These cats must have some manners if most aren't as nice as you." But she understood what they meant. "By the way, the names Whisper."

As Felony finished his sentence; Ailuru's green eyes grew wide.Cannibal cats?Ailuru shuddered at the thought. She would have to watch out for other cats, not simply because they may be unfriendly, but also because she could be a potential prey item to some. Evantually Ailuru's eyes shrunk back to their normal position, but she was still a bit rattled by the disturbing thought. She then pricked her ears up as the grey she-cat spoke. So her name's Whisper.
