Got this in my email from the AuthorTracker yesterday:
Hi Everyone!
Huge, huge thank yous and extra-special purrs to everyone who helped send Dark River straight to the top of the bestseller lists! ☺ ☺ ☺ (Three very happy Erins!) This is the third time Warriors has hit the #1 spot, and it still feels as wonderful, humbling and astonishing as it did the first time. Because we all live in the UK, the hoo-haa of being top of the charts in the US feels quite distant and rather unreal, but we always send each other crazy squealing e-mails saying things like "We rock!" and “Go, us!” Then of course it’s back to work…
Right now, Kate's putting the final touches to Warriors: Power of Three #4: Eclipse, and Cherith is in the home stretch with Seekers #2: Great Bear Lake. Vicky's just finished the storyline for Warriors: Power of Three #5, which will be called Long Shadows (you heard it here first!), and is in the middle of drawing maps for the Seekers endpapers. You know how much Vicky loves drawing… ☹ Vast quantities of chocolate are being consumed!
More breaking news for AuthorTracker readers: There's going to be a third manga trilogy, starring…Ravenpaw! We miss him as much as you do, so we're going to turn the clock back to when the four Clans were still living in the forest and give you a glimpse of what Ravenpaw's life was like when he first moved to the barn to live with Barley. Ravenpaw is Vicky's favorite character—and the one most like her—so she can't wait to write about what he is up to. He'll be heroic in his own way, not like the Clan warriors we're used to and, given his experience with Tigerstar, he'll favor the underdog (or cat). Watch this space for more hints about the new manga adventures!
We know you visit warriorcats.com regularly, because it's the best place to be when you're online—and because the site had more than three million page views in December alone, which is beyond awesome! But this month there's yet another reason to visit: the first official Warriors video! Oh yes—not content with offering you personality tests, quizzes, background info on all the books, and a chance to post a picture of your kittypets, the amazing folks responsible for our website have produced a breathtakingly fabulous video to get you in the mood for reading your favorite series. If you like a challenge, see if you can name the cats that appear, and their Clans. No prizes, but you'll feel very cool if you recognize them all!
Also coming up soon: details of Vicky's April tour. She'd love to meet you and hear what you think of the latest books, so please come along to an event if you can!
With love and best wishes,
Erin
