Purple skies and paper flowers... Mariposa padded softly through the rocky outcroppings. The small calico cat was completely dwarfed by the stones around her, but that was alright. She was used to being the smallest thing around. The she-cat took a deep whiff of the surrounding air. She could smell cats on the wind, many cats. She was getting closer to the Clan, she could feel it. A bright grin crossed her muzzle and a twinkle lit her mismatched eyes. Soon now, soon she would regain her mother's lost place in the clans. Soon, she would become a Warrior! Can you hear the lullabyes?

[Meh, too lazy to switch accounts. ;3]
Snowstar watched from the tip most spot on a sharp rock. Her tail curved around her flanks and her sage eyes watched the small calico cat carefully. Her black pelt made her blend in well with the dark shadows that were cast from the rocks around her, only the white blaze on her chest gave her away.
Even from this distance, Snowstar could see the promising gleam in her eye, and she moved with some purpose. It could only be she was looking for Stoneclan, for she seemed untroubled by the rocks and stones, easily lost in. Time for action.
With a fluid movement, she leapt from her perch from her seat, descending down the rocks with remarkable ease and grace, before she took a seat once more behind the she-cat.
"Looking for something?" She mewed calmly from behind her, and she tilted her head to the side. Likewise, Snowstar was petite, but by no means frail. She came here as a young cat, accepted by Featherstar, and had seemed to grow with these lands, her muscles refined by the scaling of the rocks and mountains over many moons.
"Welcome to Stoneclan," She said in that soft but authorative voice, her head held high; She could only be a leader. "I am Snowstar, leader of these territories you stand in. What's your name? And your purpose?" She commanded politely.

Mari's ears flicked forwards, alerted by some small noise. She looked up, sure that she'd heard footsteps. And her eyes crinkled at the corners as she's smiled - she was right. There was another cat coming down towards her.
The she-cat selfconciously smoothed her fur, wanted to make a good first impression. After all, this was her first time meeting a Clan cat... or any cat that hadn't lived in the city really. She hoped these wild cats would take an alley cat into their numbers.
She turned smartly and sat, blinking at Snowstar's sudden arrival. Mari was struck by a sudden rash of shyness, and she smiled softly, looking away and shuffling her paws.
"Yes, actually - I was looking for you." Her eyes widened a bit. "Well, I mean, not you specifically you know, but a Clan cat in general... not that I'm not thrilled to meet you!! Oh." She grimaced, shutting her mouth firmly. She really could put her paws in her mouth sometimes.
The calico she-cat took a deep breath, and started over. "My name is Mariposa. Sorry, I babble sometimes" she smiled hesitantly. "I was hoping to join your clan, actually." Mari had to bite her tongue to keep from going into her entire family history, and just smiled instead. She completely ruined her calm image by twitching her tail almost subconciously around her feet.

The lithe she-cat watched her with an air of amusement, her teeth showing slightly as her tail twitched curiously. She was gaining points quickly on Snowstar, she seemed polite, and Snowstar was big on respect. Not so much as other Clan leaders, such as Amberstar, but Snowstar was more keen to accept and speak to those who were remotely polite.
"Not to worry, i've many cats who babble in my clan. You're sure to find some friends in here," She said calmly, for Snowstar had relaxed slightly. She watched her every move, hung to her every word. Her eyes gleamed slightly.
"Very well then, Mariposa," She murmured calmly. "Where are you from? You smell like the city... Strong, pungent odor, but that will quickly take it's leave when you're in my clan," She said pointedly, her tail flicking.
Snowstar had to buckle down. She'd heard too many betrayal stories from the other clans, and wasn't keen to start in hers, as hers had been one of the only ones that hadn't had such bad luck following them. Nor was she about to attack a stranger to prove it's worth in her clan, but she had to trust her insticts and ask questions.
"Plus, I would like you to answer me this, how old are you?" Snowstar asked, so she could multi-task and think of an appropriate mentor if she were apprentice-aged, or think of an appropriate apprentice somewhere down the line. Her kits were growing older.

Fly with me...
Mari blinked for a moment, and then heaved a sigh of relief, all her muscles relaxing at once. Her potential new leader was friendly and polite; and she said she'd make friends in her clan. Which means she's thinking of accepting me. The calico thought. She smiled with a new confidence at the other she-cat.
"Please, call me Mari. Mariposa is such a mouthfull." She chuckled lightly, though it trailed off as she noticed the other cat's sombre expression. "You would be correct - I am from the city. My mother was a Clan cat long ago in her youth, and I have come to put my warrior blood back where it belongs." Her chest puffed with pride, and her eyes gleamed.
"Two springs have passed since I was born, Snowstar." She added. "And I can fight, and hunt. My mother was in training to her Medicine Cat. I'm nowhere near as good, but I know a few small things." Mari nodded to herself. She was determined to prove her worth to Snowstar, and earn a place for herself.
If you want me to I'll do it for you.

Snowstar sat back and watched her curiously, ears leaning back. Simply put, Snowstar looked satisfied with Mari's abilities thus far, and she still had that promise that Snowstar had seen earlier.
She didn't ask her mother's name; it was none of her business, as her name, age, origins were. If she felt the need to tell the lithe leader, she was free to.
"Very well, Mari," Snowstar said, clearly satisfied. "I'll have myself or one of my trusted warriors take you out and see the extent of your training, just to give me an idea of what you know," Snowstar said carefully. "If you're from the city, I daresay you know some if you were a stray," She said, nodding. "Follow me, and keep in mind to try to remember the way... The maze is a bit tricky your first few times," Snowstar said, as her memories took over and she took the same steps of the slope as she had when Featherstar first introduced her to Stoneclan.

Mari grinned brightly at the leader - her new leader! - and jumped lightly to her paws. Her body shivered as a wave of excitement raced down her spine. She was going to be a Clan cat! She was going to be a Warrior! Her tail stood straight and proud.
"Thank you, Snowstar!" she mewed happily. "I won't let you down, I swear." Her voice was bright with hope and a hint of longing, and she followed nimbly after the other she-cat. Her eyes fixed on Snowstar's paws, committing the path to memory as best she could.
