Where has everyone gone? And are they okay?
As we all know, the four original Clan leaders are leaders of their Clans no longer. Whisperstar has been replaced by Lillystar, who has become a fine leader. Oakstar long ago was replaced by Amberstar, again, a good leader. Sabrestar, the Queen of DuskClan, has be replaced by Bloodstar, maybe a bad cat, but a good leader. And, last but not least, Featherstar, the original Queen of StoneClan, passed her leadership onto Snowstar, her faithful deputy, long ago. But now as the former leader, the brown she-cat with the sandy stripes, lifted her pink nose to sniff the air surrounding StoneClan territory, she frowned. She could scent hardly anything of the Clan she had left so many moons ago. What had happened to her Clan? She would have to find out. The polite way, of course. Afterall, she no longer controlled this land, so she would have to stay on the border until someone came to see her, just by manners' rule.
Of course, I can help them along, now, can't I?
The she cat suddenly lifted her head and let loose a caterwaul that one might find surprising for one so small as she. But hey, she's used to yelling around, trying to keep a camp in order, until she left of course. But even in those times she let loose a few good howls. And now she waited, wanting to see who exactly lived in StoneClan's what seemed long lost and forgotten territory.
So, is anyone here?Whew. Bad post but, hey, it's been a while.

It was probably for the best the tiny she hadn't died in battle. Long since, she hadn't been able to obtain her 9 lives. This left her with a little hope that the old leader still lived, but it feared her. Not for her own life, she'd walk Starclan as a warrior if she ever passed, but for her Deputy if she'd ever died. Warfox wouldn't be able to obtain 9 lives either, she assumed.
So, she led her clan back to camp, covered with dirt, blood, and bruises, some dying, some dead, and some just still powerful enough to make it back home. Some were hardly hurt at all, in the case of the rather... Vacant in the mind Lostcause, that travelled just behind her, a stupid grin across her pretty face. Suddenly, the leader froze.
It couldn't be..
She strained her eyes against the dying sun, just fading indigo to relent the night. And then, she saw the reason she never got her 9 lives.
Featherstar, just there beyond the boundaries, waiting patiently.
She bolted forward, making her way expertly across the dead terrain, which so long ago she stumbled upon fruitlessly. The last living descendant of the original leaders, was still alive.
"Featherstar," Snowstar said, clearly surprised, yet her voice was warm. She was beyond pleased to see her old leader, and the deputy dipped her pretty head to the leader, purring, and rubbing against her side in an unleaderlike way.
"You look well," She said, eyes shining, smiling despite the blood that ran from a cut across her head between her ears, and the many smaller cuts and blood and dust. She looked a little well for wear, but she couldn't hide the happiness at seeing Feathstar.
[Lawl, not much better. xD ]

I didn't mean for my living to keep you from your lives... Whoops. Sorry. But I think you'll forgive me. Right?
So at least some of her Clan had survived. As Featherstar saw the young Snowstar in the distance, her furred face lit up in a bright smile. She had always liked the black she-cat and was glad that she remained alive and ok. But when the other fae came up on her, nuzzled her fiercely, and gave her a warm greeting, Featherstar's smile almost faded, though she did manage to keep it as she rubbed heads with her old friend. What, you ask, had made her frown, or almost do so, at least. All the battle marks, relatively fresh, that the young fae bore, of course.
So the battle finally happened. After all this time. Wow. I hope we won.
But, as much as she wanted to know how the Clan war had ended, or if it still continued, she made it a point in her mind not to ruin this moment of reunion with such inquiries. After all, as far as she knew, Snowstar very well might have come here get away from the battle for a while. So, should the black cat bring it up, Feather would gladly listen to the news, but, for now, she was content just to say 'hello'. And that she did, only in fancier words.
Thank you. And you look... and here Featherstar paused, not exactly sure how to word what she wanted to say. She could say Snow looked bad, or wounded, or tired. She thought that would be rude. Besides, even if the black leader did look all of the things above, Featherstar knew that, if she'd looked the same, she wouldn't want anyone to point it out. So she finally came up with words that were both true and that she thought Snowstar would be proud to hear,
...like a leader. And this she said with a warm, encouraging smile.
And and don't worry, the pause was only a second or so, even if it seemed to be forever.

Warfox's head turned as Snowstar bounded off in another direction. He stuck his nose in the air and sniffed for whoever she was going to greet, and smiled a little crookedly. That was a smell he dimly remembered from when he'd joined the clan, before he'd become deputy when Featherstar left. He'd been sad she was gone, because leaders kept disappearing on him.
He trotted after Snowstar, but stopped a respectful distance away from the two leaders. His whiskers were forward in a grin so out of place on his usually serious face that it looked like they might just fall off.
"Hi, Featherstar," he said after a moment, inclining his head respectfully, at least, insofar as he could actually incline his head. He shuffled his paws just a little, trying to not stand still for long enough for his shoulders and hips to get all stiff and sore. He yawned, just a little, and shook his head. At least there was something of a good end to this long, long day. The "magic" tom flicked his ears forward as first Snowstar, then Warfox, ran off after some familiar smell. He smelled it too, but instead of running off, he just plopped down with a satisfied smirk and cleaned absentmindedly behind one ear with a paw.
"I did think she might come back eventually," he commented off-handedly, putting his paw back on the ground and giving his chest a good cleaning.

Ahh look, more pieces of the past.
The Queen smiled as she saw two more warriors of StoneClan approach: Spellbound and Warfox. These were warriors that she herself had accepted into the Clan so it meant more to her that they were there at her 'homecoming'. Snowstar, or Snowstripe, or whatever you will call her, most likely the former, had yet to reply to her comment, and, since the moment was still rather serious, Featherstar thought it would be rude for her to call out until the other fae had spoken. So she would do nothing for now, except a nod in the two males' direction. If they saw it, good for them, if not, then they would have to wait until she could speak to them, after their leader.
So Snow, it seems we are waiting on you.

Snowstar couldn't help but smile subtly at Featherstar's comment. A leader indeed....? Hardly. She let a small frown flick over her muzzle, like a meteor in the night. So many had died in her care, so many she had let go, so many she should have done to help.
"Not as much as you, old friend," Was all she said to Featherstar. Where Featherstar had left, with Snowstar in place of her, Featherstar would have done something to save the cats who had died before and during the war. Regardless of her leave, Snowstar was willing to take her back with open paws.
If she were to come back as leader, well, that was her decision to make. It was her clan. Snowstar still didn't have 9 lives, and the reason was standing in front of her. "Welcome back."
[Good lawd, sorry 'bout that Feather. xD]
