Forestheart
A small breeze made its way through the jagged rocks surrounding StoneClan camp, and Forestheart purred with pleasure. The breeze felt nice against her warm fur, for she had been basking in the sunlight for a while. Her green eyes scanned the quiet camp, contentment rising in her heart. Her memories of this place were filled with light and darkness, both types of memories very clear and vivid. She remembered playing in the nursery as a kit, when her rogue mother dropped her off to be with this Clan. She remembered making friends, but what she remembered most was making enemies. She didn't understand at first why her own Clan was so hostile to her, but she soon discovered that she wouldn't be accepted until she proved that not being Clanborn wasn't an issue with her loyalty. Memories of becoming an apprentice flooded Forestheart's mind. She remembered her first catch, her first conversation with the elders, and her first conversation with the other apprentices. But a terrible memory followed. The battle. Her sister, Honeypaw, had been given to a different Clan by her mother, and StoneClan met them in battle. Her sister looked just like her, and she knew that it was her. She didn't know how, but she just knew. But then, right before her eyes, she tumbled down the side of a gorge in Foretheart's own territory. She dashed down to her side, sharing a few kithood memories before her sister was lost to StarClan. Forestheart shuddered and blinked away the unhappy threads of memory. She shook her pelt of sand and got to her paws, sitting and washing. She swiped her tongue over her paw, and drew it over her face. The soothing rythm calmed her, and she went back to letting the sun seep into her muscles and pelt. After a while her ears twitched as she heard pawsteps coming towards her. She turned to face the cat interrupting her calm.
