Was yea ra chs hymnos yor… En chsee fwal fwal yor… You will become a song… And will wear two wings…
“Come on Strifepaw, come on! Can’t you see them? They want us to chase them!”
A slim white fluffball bounced out of the nursery and tore across the main camp, dancing and darting and batting at something only she could ever see. Starpaw, the adopted daughter of Goldfeather, had adapted so well in clan life. She knew no other reason not to; actually, this had always been her home.
The young apprentice managed to make it clear to the waterfall without anyone stopping her – so many of their clan was gone off to war! How awesome was that! She stopped suddenly, tail flicking about as she looked through the curtain of water.
“Hey, we should go bring back some freshkill for the clan! They wouldn’t be able to doubt us then. And see, they’re willing to show us to the best hunting spots too~”
--
Reluctantly, the taciturn little tortie tom followed Starpaw from the nursery, looking around.
“But Starpaw, I…”
He started, but his friend was already off and running across the camp ground. It’s not like it really mattered, anyway. No matter how many times he tried to explain to her he couldn’t see anything; she always insisted they were there. And when he asked who they were, she would say names like Demonjade, or Honeymist, or Oddeye – names that he didn’t know. Cats he was unfamiliar with.
Once, that may have scared him, that Starpaw claimed to see those of the dead. Now, Strifepaw was used to it, and kept his mouth wisely shut in protesting otherwise.
“I don’t think that’s too smart…”
His quiet voice betrayed nothing more as he stopped behind the pure white cat, looking into the mist of water too.

Tealpaw slept.
But as Starpaw and Strifepaw rose, his little head popped up from the tortoiseshell bundle of slumbering fur, teal eyes blinking open.
"Starpaw!"
What was his sister thinking? He looked around at his sleeping siblings, denmates, friends. He watched Strifepaw's tortoiseshell tailtip disappear out of the entrance to the little cave. What with he and his brothers, and Timescar's son, MistClan would soon have more than enough tortoiseshell toms.
Furrowing his brow and narrowing his bright eyes, Tealpaw scrambled to his paws and stumbled out of the den.
"Where are you guys going?"
If it was an adventure they were looking for, he definitely felt he could help.

What was she thinking?
You know, that was a good question.
She wanted to play with the motes, the spirits that came to visit from their posts in Starclan! Well, that had been her original plan, at least. But this one was so much better! And with no adults in sight, who would stop the three apprentices?
“Tealpaw!”
She called happily, tail flicking from side to side in her eagerness as she turned and bounded past the stoic Strifepaw, over to her brother.
“Let’s go hunting! Strifepaw’s being silly and not agreeing, but together we can make him go! We’ll have guides to the best hunting spots too!”
--
Aw. That was mean.
Strifepaw flattened his ears a little bit at Starpaw’s words. While he knew his friend had no ill meaning in her words, he wasn’t a fool. He didn’t need to be forced to do anything. Nor was he some timid little kit that could easily be forced into doing something he didn’t want.
But…
He didn’t want to cause a conflict, no matter what his name said.
“You don’t have to force me. I’ll go, if you both do.”
Three head were better then two, and he could at least serve as a lookout while the others hunted. Someone had to keep a cool head above the others.
Besides, even he was interested in a little adventuring in the long run.

Yellowflower was watching the three kits deciding to go hunting. She wasn't sure it was a good idea either, but how to convince three kits who she'd not even really met of this?
She stood and stretched, and yawned. Then she padded shyly over to the three. She looked so apologetic just for walking over to speak with them. But Yellowflower was like that. She was shy as the day was long.
"Um, hi..." she said awkwardly, sitting with her two front paws collected under her shoulders, paw tips together. Her tail flipped from side to side anxiously.

[They were apprenticed already? o.0]
A great 'humph', a mew of complaint, and Sunpaw tumbled head over heels out of the den, closely followed by Salmonpaw, who gave a loud laugh at the feat of shoving his shy sister out of the den. Well, now that you're out of there, you might as well join us!! He mewed cheerfully, bounding after his siblings to the edge of the waterfall. Sunpaw gave a nervous glance around, shuffling her paws, before padding after her brothers Salmonpaw and Tealpaw. However, they were wrong about not having any warriors around. She glanced up at Yellowflower padded over, trying to talk them out of their journey. Uh, yeah, guys, why don't we listen to her...? She murmured quietly. Kits, so feisty and obnoxious Came a voice from behind them all as Firetheory padded up to them, an affectionate smile on his muzzle. He sat down amongst the kits. Lillystar wouldn't appreciate a bunch of her apprentices wandering out while they have a battle to serve. Come on, I'll take you five out for a small hunting lesson, so long as you listen? He mewed affably, giving a wink at Yellowflower as if to ensure she tried her best. Salmonpaw looked as if he was about to have a heartattack at the prospect of going out, the thrill of it!! Ohyeahyeahyeah, I'll behave! Can we go? Now?!

[Well we pretended they were x3 Post coming soooon to a theatre near you. :D]
As Sunpaw and Salmonpaw followed him, Tealpaw grinned. More of his siblings. Just by this you could tell he loved his family.
What would he do without them?
But when Yellowflower came over to them he wiped the silly smile right off his face. She might, of course, think he was up to something naughty.
Firetheory's suggestion slapped the grin right back on, however.
"Yes! Let's go! Right now! Please, please, please?"
Tealpaw hopped right up in the warrior's face, waving his tail around. It would be so exciting!

Healing is a slow going thing...
A quiet form limped across the stony clearing. She wasn't sure how she'd made it all the way from the medicine den to the nursery, but she had. Bringing each paw to rest gingerly on the ground, Shadowstreak stopped and looked around at the kits and warriors before her.
"Out for a walk are you, kits?" she asked kindly, her eyes somewhat tired looking. She trained her gaze on Firetheory then, remembering the kind tom from when he'd kept her company in the medicine cat tunnels.

Nooooo! The warriors had to come! Shoot! Starpaw had been hoping for the chance to avoid them and them all go out and explore on their own, without supervision. But here was that plan going straight down the drain.
Oh well.
“Please! Please! Please!”
Her voice joined Tealpaw’s in begging Firetheory, unable to keep herself still.
“Honeymist and Oddeye said that the big ol’ field had lots of prey! Can we go there? Please!!”
She danced around eagerly, before pawing happily at Tealpaw’s tail.
--
Little Strifepaw remained quiet.
Nothing he did or say ever seemed to make a difference when it came to calming his more boisterous friends, so he hung back quite a bit when they started their begging of the large tom; his hauntingly blue gaze averted.
He wasn’t quiet, per say, nor shy; but he was quickly becoming quite the introverted loner.

Yellowflower grinned a little in response to Firetheory, although it was a very shy smile. The grin was more genuine when the kits started jumping around and begging to go. But one kit was hanging back quietly and not saying a word. Yellowflower tilted her head at him, maybe seeing shades of when she was little with her siblings, and it was maybe why she'd learned to be shy. Not enough being social as a kit or something.
She crouched down like a cat loaf- fully aware she might end up as a climbing gym for the excited younger cats, and regarded the quiet one with her head tilted to the side.
"Are they always like this? Mine were..." she asked him conversationally, though not loud enough to disrupt the begging going on around Firetheory and Shadowstreak.
