Gryfin dragged her heavy paws slowly through the grass. She was a little busy staring in wonder at the river and the waterfall. It was magnificent - the roar of water sent shivers through her small frame. The whole land was beautifull, and she let out a little mewl of happiness. She could learn to love it here too, and the scent of strange cats on the air filled her heart with a fluttery hope. She prayed to StarClan that someone would come find her, and accept her into the territory. She didn't think she could handle being alone much longer.
[[ OOC - gah, short post is short. >.< ]]

Wondrous is the sound of rushing water in the warmth of summer...
Purest white blossomed with saffron and ginger flowers, her coat was a sight among the cool grays and browns of the river rocks. Padding carefully over the slippery stones, the leader of MistClan made her way to the water for a drink. The greenleaf sun was scorching and her fur felt thick with warmth. Crouching down for a sip of the cool water, the she-cat suddenly scented a foreigner on the breeze. Her head jerked up, whiskers still dripping with moisture.
"Who is on my Clan's borders without leave?" she poised the question to mist rising above the water. The churning river caused a lot of it during greenleaf and it was very hard to discern faces through the swirling water vapor.

Gryf froze, all her fur on end as a voice floated to her through the mists. She balanced on her paws for a moment, before scooting slowly towards the river, and towards the voice. She got close enough to see the she-cat's face clearly before pausing, and lowering her eyes respectfully. Her small brown and gold body shook with nerves, with golden eyes alight with a torrent of emotion. This is what she had been waiting for, what she had been dreaming of. Her life would change within the next few precious moments.
"My name is Gryfin ma'am. Just Gryfin. And I've come to ask if I can join this clan." She looked up shyly at the beautiful adult cat, her twitching tail giving away her frantic emotional state. "I want to be a Warrior..." she breathed, the awe in her voice obvious. It was Gryf's life-long dream. All she had ever wanted was to be a Warrior, to live by the Warrior's Code and fight in epic battles with heros and villains.
She looked up at Lillystar, her large eyes filled with hope and dreams for the future.

Summer sun bakes the earth...
Lillystar squinted into the mist and as it lifted some, she could see the she-cat standing opposite her. Not very intimidating looking, actually rather pretty, she thought. The golden color in her pelt really stood out.
"Hello Gryfin, my name is Lillystar and I am the leader of MistClan," she mewed. "Tell me, can you run fast, hunt well, and fight hard?" "Because you will be doing a lot of that if you join my clan.

Gryf gave Lillystar a snaggle-toothed smile, sensing that the she-cat was good at heart and there was no danger. The young cat sat back on her haunches, pondering the leader's question.
"I can run fast, and I can be quiet. I don't know how to fight yet." Her ears came down and her face warmed. "But I can learn fast, I swear!!" she looked at Lilly with eager, wide eyes. Gryf desperatley wanted this she-cat to like her.

New opportunities blossom like wildflowers after the rain...
The MistClan leader was pleased with the stranger's determination and the fact that she seemed humble. Some cats barged onto your borders thinking they ruled the forest.
"Sounds like a good start to me...how old are you Gryfin?" the mottled she-cat asked, wondering at what place she would need to put this new cat.

Gryf bounced on her paws, pleased with herself. Obviously, she'd answered the she-cat's questions correctly, since she could tell that the other cat had relaxed a bit. Her tail twitched and she grinned even wider, her snaggle-tooth giving her an smirk that held nothing but warmth and happiness.
"I'm about 6 moons, your Ladyship." Gryf said proudly, puffing out her small chest and lifting her chin. "I know I ain't been alive long, but I promis I can do anything you ask me too!" Her golden eyes gleamed with promise, determination, and hope.

Lillystar smiled warmly at the youngster. "There's no need to be quite so formal, just call me Lillystar..." she told the kit, cocking her head to side in mock confusion. "Oh, I hope you don't fear water because you'll have to see a lot of it in this territory." Then the large she-cat turned and walked to the edge of the waterfall. "Camp is through here, so you're going to get wet, but you'll dry in no time in this heat...now come we must find you a mentor."

Gryf grinned brightly at Lilly. "Thank you, ma'am. And I ain't afraid of water. I ain't afraid of nothin!" She grinned wider and bounced around. She followed quickly after Lilly when she realized the other she-cat was walking.
[[ OOC - So, should we post in the Camp? =D ]]
