[ : name : ] Dimewhisker
[ : age : ] circa 34 moons
[ : gender : ] tom
[ : breed : ] one-third Korat
[ : appearance : ] Rather fat black and white tom. Exact appearance can be decided by the adopter. His slightly large weight can be attributed to his laziness back home; who knows, the harder living in Warriors territory might whip him into shape.
Or not.
[ : persona : ] He is a therapist. The adopter can decide the specifics, but obviously he is good at reading other cats and is generally quick-witted and skeptical. Tends toward a more sarcastic sense of humor.
[ : history : ] Dimewhisker was born in a mental hospital in a city. His mother, Pennyweight, had been the pet of one of the doctors there, and once the doctor retired, she was allowed to stay. She was friendly, neat, and nearly hypoallergenic, so no one saw any harm in keeping her around. She became the official 'Asylum cat'. Dimewhisker's father was a street cat who had been dubbed 'Chase', and he and Pennyweight had spoken often through windows in the hospital.
Once, Pennyweight attempted to run away and join him in the city, but she found stray living not to her liking and returned. But she brought something back with her: she was pregnant.
She had three healthy kittens: a she-cat named Nickel, a big tom named Quarters, and Dimewhisker.
Nickel and Quarters were adopted out. Dimewhisker stayed.
When Pennyweight died, Dimewhisker replaced her as the asylum's mascot. He was sharp, and learned many things. He became somewhat of an expert on the feline psyche, and many troubled cats came to him for advice. In that way, he became a kind of cat psychiatrist.
His most frequent encounters was with a strange tom called Flux. Flux wandered the town often, and came to call on Dimewhisker many times.
Dimewhisker and Flux became friends over many moons, and the therapist cat was slightly worried by his friend and client's mental stability. Dangerous Thrill-seeking behavior, delusions...
When Flux left the city half-voluntarily, Dimewhisker's anxiety increased. Who knows what kind of trouble that tom could get into.
So Dimewhisker, who was nothing if not persistent, tracked Flux into Warriors land. He was determined to return the tortoishell adrenaline junkie to the city before he could hurt himself, and hopefully help him.
[ : other : ] Flux calls Dimewhisker "Shrink." Always has, always will.
