A lone assassin, silhouetted against the brilliant amber sky. As the sun slowly fell into the flames of the clouded sky, a single obsidian figure moved swiftly through the meadow. He moved with confidence - for Bane had lived here for a long part of his life, at the beginning of everything. The Clans had barely begun when he had moved here, a young, yet already talented tom. Every stem of grass, every rock - Bane knew it all.
Like a snake he moved, a serpent of the devil, his tail curling as if in a sblack person behind his lithe, yet beautifully strong body. A single-eyed stare was fixed on goodness knew what, whilst the other glowed, seemed to emit light as the remaining shards of the sun finally crept below the horizon, in fear of what lurked in the night. The destination of that single eye became clear - a single tree stump, surrounded by overgrown grass. The tom leapt swiftly atop it, sitting with that serpent-like tail curling over bloodied paws - protecting it's precious treasure, it would seem.
The view atop this stump skimmed the whole of the meadow. The depth of BoneClan land could be seen far in the distance, already swathed in darkness. RisingClan could not be seen, however - the meadow was large, and even with RisingClan and BoneClan invading part of it, the Rogues had rein over atleast half of the meadow still. Some of the rogue's, however, thought this too little. Bane knew and understood that frustration for them - and so, to any that would offer him their skills, he would promise them that RisingClan territory could be added to their free land.
It was risky, returning to the Meadow. Some rogues might show dislike for Bane, or wondering Clan members might lurk. But it could only wait to be revealed - the tom slid down onto his stomach, paws neatly curling over the rim of the stump, awaiting to see what his presence might summon.

This was not his war.
It was amusing, the way the peons within the valley scatted about. Like ants, pathetic and just waiting to be crushed under one of his large, capable paws.
Shinentai had returned to his lone travels since the murder of Stoneclan’s warrior, Underworld. He didn’t know if his shadowed companion, Fair, was close, didn’t know if the pest still followed, but frankly, the mutated, unnatural monster did not give a damn.
Mother, had no orders for Her children.
And so, they waited.
The eldest of Velvet’s offspring, the cruelest, traveled through the meadow at his own pace, moving nor budging for any cat. This place, although he was unaffiliated with no clan, was not his home.
He had no home. Until the day he died he would serve Mother, and until there were orders to strike against the clans, he traveled where he pleased.
Ah, but the maned tom was aware of another, and his head tilted up to see who it was, relaxing elevated. Another tom, a dark one, one he knew by rumor to be feared by the clans. Bane, the dark king of Boneclan.
Eh.
Shinentai really wasn’t too interested, but this might be a diversion.
The large silver tom padded forward, completely unafraid of the reputation that surrounded Bane. Shinentai knew no fear, and he wasn’t about to start now.
Settling into a sit, those luminous green hues watched the black tom carefully. Who would crack and speak first? Bane would interest him, he was sure, but he doubted that he’d accept any offer.
Bane needed warriors.
Shinentai was a twisted monster.
Besides, he sought to obliterate all clans, including the rogue ones, in Mother’s name. Carnage and the other two should be starting Phase 1 of their operation, and until it progressed further, Shinentai’s murderous skills were not needed.
He flicked, still watching. The unnaturally long claws on his paws, so long that they could only be sheathed halfway, unsheathed a little to knead the ground beneath him, keeping to his silence.

Eyes were boring into him, Bane could feel them even if he was yet to see them. A silent intake of breath gave away the position of this lone rogue - Bane slowly turned his head, to spot the tom, emerald orbs glittering, filled with interesting tales of...
Bane knew not this tom's past. He was new to the rogue meadow - Bane hadn't seen him before. Yet he was no weakling. That alone was clear. His loyalties? Well, now was time to find out, was it not?
The lithe tom lifted himself off of his stomach, his single-eyed gaze matching that of the unknown rogue. Claws raked against the stump, ready should this tom try any funny business - then, after a moment's hesitation, the King gave a small nod.
"Good eve, stranger."
His voice was calm, almost friendly. Enemies were not to be made here. As he spoke, Bane turned his head away from the tom, staring out beyond the horizon - he acted coolly, not one to show his true intents too soon. Let the tom do the talking, if he wanted.

Fair wasn't the only character that padded after Shinentai. The young grey and white tom skulked behind, not too far behind. He still had a promise to keep... He didn't know why he simply didn't leave the powerful tom in the dust. Perhaps he found protection under the tom, perhaps morals were finally coming to mind, though Hexfrost point blank doubted the latter.
And he'd lost sight of Shinentai. He raised his head to the sky, letting his small nose twitch as it inhaled. However, by this point he needed not the power of scent... He had hearing. Another voice.
He didn't need to hear Shinentai's voice to recognize he was being spoken to. Hexfrost slipped knife like through the overgrown weeds of the field, coming to stand just a tail length from Shinentai's flanks to peer at Bane. His eyes flashed in the moonlight, his expression more so of curiousness than of hostility.
He recognized this character! Bane, wasn't it, of Boneclan. Now, Hexfrost competed neither of the toms, though he was built more of the short and rather stocky type, but he was by no means defenseless. He had the air of one that had killed before, or participated in a murder. Hell, the two of them probably had the scent of a recent kill after his mother, despite the fact his newfound friend, if you could call it that, had stolen all the glory. No matter.
Evening, BaneRasped Hexfrost curiously, his ears flicking to and fro. He didn't have Boneclan members with him... He must be recruiting.

If there had been any funny business to begin with; Shinentai would not have made his presence known first.
The dark lord’s voice held an almost friendly tone to it; but the maned tom was not fooled in the least. He knew what Bane was capable of, for all the black tom know nothing of the sort in regards to him.
Still, he wasn’t sure he needed to answer though.
Moving in Bane’s full sight, the silver tom nodded slightly in return to the greeting, saying nothing.
He didn’t to.
Inwardly, he winched when Hexfrost came following right on after him.
Fair, at least, he was capable in tolerating for the most part. Hexfrost he wasn’t so sure; not yet anyway.
But the thought of having ‘followers’ was something to stoke the flames within the powerful tom; he already knew he was the ONE, the best of Velvet’s children, and to have others following him, allowing him to take charge, did nothing to help that thought.
Gotta love monomania.
Instead, Shinentai simply allowed Hexfrost to speak, since the tom appeared to adore doing that. He remained silent as death, ethereal, unreal, green eyes never wavering from Bane.
