[ open to elite warriors of stealthyclan / quintessance |3 and obviously sunsetfire ]
Life is a highway, I wanna drive it all night long
Highway Man, was it? Yes, that's it. He trotted about the oasis, looking out for any birds. He was hungry, and didn't really care that this was StealthClan's territory, as his best friend and partner in crime was an elite warrior of the little group. So, where was Quinty these days, eh? Highway Man had a...ah, a proposition for him.
He was nearing the left oasis, but stopped. The ground below him was becoming softer, muddier. He'd heard about cats falling through the very earth itself. Highway Man turned and trotted back to the first oasis, his tail held high.

"You're an awful long way from home, my friend."
Quintessence, master of stealth that he was, appeared as if by magic. His tone was warm and friendly, rather than accusing.
Quinty was well-used to Clan life these days; he even enjoyed it. Despite the distant pangs and allure his old life still held for him, he was happy. He was doing the right thing.
Dusty sunlight lit the world, falling through a sky thinly veiled in cloud. Quintessence's keen aqua-colored eyes were bright and alive.

"Ah, Quintessence, my friend!"
Highway Man dared not show he had been startled by his buddy, his amigo; he trusted Quint and all, but he was a tom, and that was how toms acted, no? Obviously, the two had grown apart, but only an eighth of an inch or so. They were still very close, but Quintessence had joined one of this 'Clan' type things, and Highway Man was still roaming around Rogue Meadow. Perhaps he would join StealthClan...?
"So, what's the news from StealthClan, buddy?"
His deep mew was almost a growl, but a friendly one. His dusty-coloured pelt seemed to be made out of stone, each fur a finely shaped statue. There was no wind, therefore the wind couldn't really ruffle his fur. The thief suddenly wondered about his best friend's personal life; had he found a mate? Had he found that sister of his, oh, what was her name...Cats' something, or at least it was along those lines.

At this juncture of Quint's life, he had not seen or spoken to his sister in a long time. And although he loved kits and the thought of settling down someday appealed to the ex-thief, he seemed to be suffering from terminal bachelorism. So, not much was going on.
"The usual," he meowed.
With amusement in his voice, Quint tilted his head and added, "How's business? Still living life on the wring side of the law?"

Highway Man purred. The usual? Hm. The usual for Quint and Highway Man - the daft duo - could be anything. And living on the wrong side of the law? That's crazy...or not so crazy. Of course he was! Silly silly Quint.
"Yep," he meowed.
