[Closed – Puffin] There are those who think That life has nothing left to chance. A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance.
A planet of playthings.
.x. So it was done.
The pact, the alliance, between Risingclan and Stealthclan was sealed.
Almost as soon as Sunsetfire left Kestrel’s land, the sky above him opened up, a cascade of rain pouring down on the young leader.
He didn’t wait for the rare downpour to stop. He kept traveling.
But by the time he made it to the Stealthclan borders, the golden tom was a chilled weary creature. Instead of going into the territory fully, heading for camp, the tom collapsed beneath a bush at the outer edge, exhaustion finally sending his mind swimming. Shivers wracked his body, as the rain just kept pouring.
.x.
We dance on the S t r i n g o f p o w e r s
We cannot perceive. “The stars aren’t aligned Or the Gods are malign.”
blame is better to give than receive.
[XP Oh Xiki! ^^ Our plot can commence!]

A slim cat padded out into the rain, his fur almost immediatly clinging to his already thin frame. It didn't help that he was still growing, and his anatomy seemed to show an adult squeezing into a half-grown kits suit.
He padded quietly to his leaders side, the deputy allowing his tail to flick in greeting upon Sunsetfire's flanks. "M'leader, how has the alliance went? Have we Risingclans alliance?" He asked quietly, but still audible in the flurrying rain. He turned his head to face the leader, and probably the only cat he didn't snap at when spoken to.
But he'd seen as much pain as young Sunsetfire, if not older for his expanded years upon his own.

A touch. It roused the leader from his cold-induced, worn gaze.
Amber hues blinking, shifting. Opening fully, to take in the sight of his deputy.
Mouth opened, attempting to speak.
“It is approved.”
He finally forced out. It was a struggle to sit up. Painful, deep inside his lungs, to do so.
And then he started coughing.

((Sorry if i'm not supposed to be here, anyways. ^^ I didn't know what it meant when it said Closed-Puffin. Besides, I needed Chainrust to do SOMETHING other than sit around and be a lazy bag of fleas. )) Chainrust backed away to give his leader room to breath, nodding his head gravely. "Come, dear leader. You are not well, and should visit the medicine cat. Get some herbs for that horrid cough of yours. You must be well should we decide to battle Boneclan," He spat, saying the last word with such bitter disdain it made him appear such as his personality. He really wasn't.
"However, I AM glad we've an alliance in this dreadful battle. Perhaps we've luck. Not to say we never had that, but I know for a fact we've always had courage. To stand up for what is right." He never said much, but he made ever word spoken count.

She poked around a nearby bush lured in by the sound of a sickly cat and the scent of her leader. She was happy for a moment at his return, but those emotions were replaced with worry at how badly he seemed to be fairing. So now her paws took her quickly to her leaders side, and she glanced quickly at his compainion before leaning down to look at Sunsetfire.
"Ssh. Take it easy there. You don't need to talk."
Her voice was motherly and caring as she spoke to him while she looked him over. Poor Sunset was in need of care, now. Puffin now lifted her head and looked at Chainrust.
"Would you be able to carry him back to camp? If not, go now and get help."
Ooc: Bah. Sorry I took so long DX

Giving his normally taciturn deputy a faint smile at the rousing speech coming from his maw, Sunsetfire attempted to stand so to walk with him into camp. However, such actions didn’t go to plan accordingly, and his shaky paws gave out on him – sending the golden leader toppling rather ungracefully to the ground. He winched, but then a all too familiar voice sent a shiver down his spine.
“Puffin?”
He murmured softly, amber hues half open so to look to his medicine cat and dear friend.
Her other words to Chainrust were a muted mumble; falling on dear ears as Sunsetfire attempted to listen; but failed.

OoC: Heh, Sparrowpaw returns after a few moons. |D
After he had made the mad dash for safety through the bramble bush on BoneClan's borders, receiving many scratches and scores along the way, Sparrowpaw had simply dropped onto the ground, having passed out from sheer fear and exhaustion. He had woken up almost a day later, and staggering around, his head spinning from the lack of food and loss of blood, he had gotten quite lost and now, stuck in the middle of the sudden downpour, he had chanced upon the brambles that were part of his Clan's new borders, as well as Chainrust, Puffin, and the tired clump of fur that was his leader and his friend.
He ran over.

A blueish grey blur vaulted out of the bushes and skidded to a stop near the others. It was Jay, back from hunting for Sparrowpaw again.
But apparently he was back- as was Sunsetfire, and a few of the others. In fact, Jay probably would have, under other circumstances, tackled Sparrowpaw and demanded to know where the younger cat had been. But he looked a little worse for wear.
I thought you were gone for good, youngster.
It was a low grumble of part annoyance, since he felt partially responsible, having followed Sparrowpaw out and then left without him. But he was also glad the young tom had returned. Then he turned to the others.
Why are we all out in the rain?
