In other words, Onyx can't do titles. Yes.
Gold eyes flicked around Stealthclan's camp lazily as the queen sat and contemplated the place. It wasn't her first home, no. But she had a knack for finding home to be where she wanted it. Right now, she wanted it to be here.
And so, this was her home. It would be her kitten's home, too, when the time came. She liked this place. Foxes were worrisome, to be sure, but with that coyote and his sister, Gemfur was sure the foxes would soon be no more. Not soon enough. Momentary sadness passed over the she-cat's face.
But no sadness can last forever, and so the look was soon gone. Gemfur yawned. She wasn't unhappy- she was just bored. Bored, bored, bored. She would have gone hunting, to add to the freshkill pile, but she doubted she could catch a fat turtle just now. Her own clumsiness in this state did, quite franky, amaze her.

o n t h e i n s i d e i s o n l y ;; Pawsteps. Heavy pawsteps that come ever close, moving slowly. A large cat.
A tabby tom appeared at the entrance to camp, his yellowgreen eyes searching the sheltered patch of land. His eyes were cool and remote, and exhaustion showed on his vaguely handsome face. He was a large cat, exceptionally so. And he was definately not a StealthClanner.
A she-cat appears beside the tom. She is nearly half his size, and tragically pretty. But there is no life in her face.
Her eyes are dusty, colorless marbles. Clear glass reflecting nothing.
Her fur is sleek and neat, silvery blue-gray. More gray than silver.
The she-cat's colorless eyes stare blankly forward. She does not blink.
Nothing is her name.
The tom's yellowgreen gaze fell upon Gemfur. "Hello," he meowed regally, bowing his head. "Might you be a member of this Clan?" ;; l i g h t s .&&. c l o c k w o r k

Gemfur regarded the loner tom and the she-cat with a wary gaze. They were unsettling. Part of her said they should not be in the main camp. But this was still Rogue Meadow, and rogues still went wherever they wanted. And it wasn't like they'd torn into camp shouting threats. They were merely different. And so they would receive benefit of the doubt.
"I am," she answered just as regally as the question was asked, with a respectful nod to return the tom's nod.

o n t h e i n s i d e i s o n l y ;; The massive brown tom took a few leisurely steps toward the she-cat. With a magestic, polite, sweeping bow he meowed, "Greetings. I am Braille, and this--" --side flick of his tail to the she-cat-- "is Figure A."
Why Figure A, you ask? Well, Braille was wandering near a twolegplace and happened to come upon a diagram. The diagram showed a twoleg figure...but it was blank. No features, merely a nondescript outline. With his basic knowlege of twoleg language, he understood that the diagram was labeled 'figure a.' When he met the wandering, emotionless she-cat, she reminded him of the diagram. So he named her Figure A.
"I am tired from my travels. Elsehwere in the Meadow it is raining, and a river burst its banks; Figure A nearly drowned, and I became soaked rescuing her," he explained, and his pelt -along with hers- were damp. "We seek a place to rest awhile."
The she-cat stays where she is, not blinking.
She has a name, yes. Many. She is no one and everyone. Her name is the name you give her. She is who you think she is. Her only spirit is the one you give her with your words and your commands.
Figure A. Nothing. 1.2. All the same.
Simply words to describe an empty vessel of a cat. ;; l i g h t s .&&. c l o c k w o r k

Gemfur considered the two for a moment, tail flicking the ground gently.
"I'm Gemfur. And there is rest aplenty to be found here- if you want to stay until Sunsetfire returns, I haven't a problem with that. Then you'll have to chat with him, I suppose. There's sun aplenty, though, for awhile yet," she said finally. There were rainclouds, she saw them, but the sun was still in the other part of the sky. It slanted and hit the earth in several places around the camp. Gemfur had hitherto claimed the larges and warmest for herself. Now, however, she stood and moved, leaving room for the other two cats to get warm and dry while the sun lasted.
She was slightly unnerved by the she-cat, Figure A. No reactions whatsoever, like someone had stolen the cat and left a shell. It made Gemfur a little sad, to see such a cat. But then, maybe Figure A didn't really care.

Howling
Gemfur. It was a short, powerful utterance as Howlinginferno came to stand beside his sister. He hadn't been paying attention, and she was confronted by these two.
New.
Rouges.
And potential dangers.
What is your purpose here, tom? he said authoritatively, having missed Braille's earlier explanation. He carefully sized up the newcomers. The tom looked too ragged to put up a good fight, and the she-cat simply....stared. He would not tolerate tresspassers in his Clan. Potentially dangerous tresspassers.

Gemfur looked over at her brother as he came over to ask questions. She smiled slightly and uttered a short purr at him. Almost, she warned him off- almost answered the question before Braille could.
But then the two cats would not have proven good intentions, and she didn't think her brother would leave them be until he was satisfied they were not dangers. It was his right to be concerned, after all. So Gemfur stayed quiet, and watched Braille for his answer, though her gaze was more welcoming than that of her brother.

o n t h e i n s i d e i s o n l y ;; Braille gritted his teeth. He hated having to explain things twice. But he managed to relax. He was not here to hurt the StealthClanners, though even in his drained state he could do serious damage.
Bowing his head to the new tom, he meowed evenly, "I come here seeking shelter and a safe place to rest for a short time. Figure A nearly drowned in a river nearby, and I exhausted myself saving her. The road and that event has left me completely drained of energy, and I dare not collapse in the open."
It must have been funny, how he spoke of himself being tired but said nothing of the beautiful she-cat beside him.
"I am Braille," he added.
The tragically beautiful she-cat stands silently. She blinks once.
Her fur is dripping steadily, evidence of the tom's truthfulness. ;; l i g h t s .&&. c l o c k w o r k

"Then stay here- in the sun, where you can dry off, and it isn't in the open. I'm sure as long as you don't go sneaking around, there won't be any problems," Gemfur said to Braille when he'd answered her brother. Then she turned to Howlinginferno.
"And if they worry you, stay and watch them. Or I will. I'm not utterly incapable, after all. It's not like you wouldn't be in calling distance if anything happened. Will that work?" she said sweetly. She met her brother's eyes for just a moment, apparently wanting him to let the two at least stay and dry off. If he insisted upon chasing them off after that, well, Gemfur wasn't going to get in the way. She didn't think it'd do much good anyway, knowing her brother.
This would be Onyx on the wrong account -_-

Howling
Howlinginferno's two-hued eyes left the strangers for a minute. He could forget that his sister had such a will, in his way. Bad things were things that happened, and where Gemfur saw only a bump in the road at life, he saw a chasm. But he had not always been that way... Howlinginferno shook his head. Fine. But I will watch you two. With Sunsetfire not back to the camp yet, Howlinginferno felt he had to keep an eye on things. But he wasn't going to let those rouges know that. He didn't trust that shifty tom, or the she-cat that just.....stared.

o n t h e i n s i d e i s o n l y ;; Braille inclined his head thankfully. "Thank you, kind StealthClanners," he meowed quietly...earnestly? Maybe; he sounded completely and genuinely earnest.
He glances to the she-cat, his eyes taking on a slightly harder cast; with a steely glint in his eyes -a subtle, hidden gleam-, he said sharply, "Sit."
His voice, though quiet, was driving and forceful. An order, and not a request or a suggestion.
The she-cat makes no sound, nor does she register that she heard the tom at all.
But she blinks her colorless, glasslike eyes -like lifeless marble eyes on a twoleg's teddybear- and obeys.
No expression crosses her empty face. ;; l i g h t s .&&. c l o c k w o r k

Gemfur smiled at her brother. She wasn't worried about the two newcomers at all... mostly because she knew Howlinginferno was watching like a hawk, and wouldn't let anything happen. She had that kind of faith.
Her eyes flicked from Braille to Figure A. They were odd, to be sure. Her curiosity was nagging her, but she held her tongue. It wouldn't do to chase them off before they were dry, anyway. She flicked her tail a couple of times. No, she'd be curious later, if they stuck around. Time enough for that.
Genfur wandered a ways away from the two cats and flopped, a good impression of the cat-loaf. She could watch them from here, yet she was far enough away that Inferno not need worry.
The little patch of sun on her back was just an added bonus. [/center]
