The moonlight slid off of the tom's silver pelt, clashed with the dark, silky stripes lacing his back and added a luminous shine to his dusky lavender eyes. Brushlike tail waving behind him, the lean dark silver tabby entered the Boundaries of his former Clan - RisingClan.
Standing on a flat-topped boulder and overlooking the Boundaries, he faintly wondered if Kestrel, that odd-eyed, eccentric she-cat, was still the leader. She was probably the only cat he missed - he was odd that way, and almost antisocial. He wouldn't have ever joined RisingClan if Bane and Sharpfang hadn't challenged him and pushed him too it, but he was now glad he had gotten a few moons out of RisingClan and Kestrel.
Shaking his head, he jumped down from the boulder and padded forward, taking in the familiar and unfamiliar scents. She's a fool if she hasn't replaced me as deputy. I wonder who she picked, though? If she's even still the leader..
But that thought terrified him more than even the thought that BoneClan might have grown in size multiple times. Kestrel was expected to live by him; she was the she-cat with the electric gold and ocean blue eyes that he loved so much. He knew his own eyes were charming and even freakish themselves, but he had never seen his own eyes the way he had seen Kestrel's. If she was dead...
He would bolt into BoneClan and risk being torn into thirteen pieces. He wouldn't care; he'd rip the throat out of the assassin who killed her. Giving a light sigh and a cool shrug, he loped further into the boundaries, making it plain he wasn't leaving until he had seen Kestrel - not her border patrol.

Pure blueblack sky, scattered with stars; wide, close moon; clean, dry, hot air; no wind. It was a beautiful RisingClan night, and there was barely a breath of breeze to stir the dust on the ground.
But there were paws to stir the dust here-- dark paws, the newcomer's. And white paws-- a second cat.
Kestrel. She stood on the hillside, ridgid with shock. There was a cat on her boundries, a silver one; the scent was faintly familliar. More familliar were those striking eyes...how many cats had lavender eyes? Kestrel knew firsthand of one-- her old deputy, her first member: Jet.
She leaped to the crest of the hill and stood, her slim yet strong frame outlined against the dark sky, her mismatched eyes flashing. They were the same as they ever were, one fierce electric yellow, the other cool blue. Kestrel could she half her territory from this spot; and, as it were, half of the territory could see her as well.
She said nothing, but the pressure of her eyes on him (bright eyes, intense eyes) would likely draw his attention.

He did not hear the pawsteps, and he did not scent her. The feel of her unblinkingly powerful gaze drew his head to meet their odd eyes together. Mismatched gaze met lavender orbs; for a moment, the silence was thick, and then the silver and black tabby meowed in a voice that was not his own, "Hi, Kestrel."
That was all he had to say, after disappearing for who-knows-how-long, then returning, intruding upon Kestrel's land. She had more Clanmates now, for sure; he knew it. Dusky purple eyes began to gleam with something more than moonlight, and a smirk formed on his muzzle.
"So, how's RisingClan doin'?" He gave a muffled laugh and turned to face Kestrel completely, drinking her in with his lavender gaze trained on her lean, feline body. Jet would never forget her kind of serene beauty, her kind of fierce charisma that made her strictly feline. Fur ruffling slightly, he gave her a half-smile that replaced his dark smirk, and he dipped his head in greeting and respect.
"Glad t'see ya, Kes. It's been far too long."

Kestrel padded smoothly forward to stand a few tail-lengths from Jet. The uncertainty was out-of-place on her pretty face; there was surprise there as well, and curiosity.
"It...has been a long time," she meowed simply. "RisingClan is doing well."
Very well, actually. It was quite powerful. But Kestrel said nothing. Jet had been gone a long time...before she shared with him the advancement of RisingClan, he would have to volunteer some information.
