Let me Stay
Her paws were burning from the hot ground, and the warm pebbles and sand that dotted the landscape. She closed her eyes. At least her pelt was a generally light color.. She wasn't suffering from the heat. Only lack of water, or anything to drink. But she kept her cool as she strode towards the Dusty and hot Risingclan. The scent of cats were lingering heavy in her nostrils.. Why was she suddenly keen to sought out help? .. Or even to help another cat. She wasnt' a rogue, merely a loner. A stranger to the clan ways.. She was independent to a cause, and didn't let anybody forget that easily.
Where the wind will whisper to me
She cast her golden-sage eyes upon the terrain. She could adjust to this easy! Just the same, why was she seeking cat company? She'd lived her life in solemn silence all this time. Never had she needed the company of a fellow cat. She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath. Her claws gripped the stone slabs beneath her and let go. She sat upon her rump silently upon the dusty gravel between the yellowing patches of grass. She let out a deep exhale. This was the borders.. This was where she could start a new life, and not that of a loners.
Where the raindrops, as they're falling tell a story

Kestrel was patrolling the borders once again, alone. She was thinking, as always. BoneClan...how to defeat BoneClan... Her claws dug into the earth, and an uncharacteristic snarl twisted her usually pretty features. They are nothing but murderers... It was very warm today, which was almost a relief. Most days, it had been cloudy and cool, but today... Today Kestrel blazed beneath a blue sky, her anger obvious. BoneClan... A hot wind kicked up, spinning the dirt, making the dry grass rattle like old bones. Kestrel's feathery gray and white fur fluttered in the wind, and the she-cat turned her head away as the heat stung her eyes. So preoccupied was the RisingClan leader that the newcomer barely registered. BoneClan must fall.

The she-cat looked up, watching the cat pad by. By the way she carried herself, and the way she showed the dignified dominance displayed usually only in leaders, she assumed her to be the leader of this clan she was searching for; Risingclan. Rumors were spreading far beyond these clans about to enemy clans. Risingclan was sure to rise above all, by the sound of it. But rumor also had it that Boneclan was more sure in numbers and powers.. But it shouldn't be any less.
If she remembered the name right, she could get her attention.. Kent.. Kiv, Kentral.. Kestrel! She said aloud, getting her attention. If the name was wrong, she would simply die of embarrassment.. Or skulk off and never return to these lands. Even if the name was right, who knew if her assumation was correct?
She took a step towards her, but remained on the opposite side of the boundaries. She seemed preoccupied with some.. So deep in thought the she-cat didn't even register as a newcomer at her boundaries. Kestrel, is it? She repeated, almost sure of it now that she was now correct. I've come to join your clan, to help you fight against Boneclan. To win this oncoming war...

Kestrel stopped suddenly, jerking her head up, ears angled forward. For a breathless instant her mismatched eyes were wide with surprise, then narrow and wary. Then she blinked, and those emotions were replaced by welcoming lights in her eyes, one blue, one yellow. She padded, her footfalls silent, her twin-colored eyes flashing as she surveyed the newcomer. "Well...welcome to RisingClan, newcomer," Kestrel mewed. "We're in great need of warriors. I'm glad you came." This cat seemed strong enough...she certainly didn't seem like a dimwit, which was good. Kestrel made a snap decision, as usual, to allow this cat into her Clans. She hadn't turned a cat away since Risingclan was first born.

…speaking of dimwits…
Deadnight padded along the outer edge of Risingclan terra. Less cats had been around lately, so the tom had found hunting to be good and was carrying back a plump rabbit who hadn’t been fast enough to escape him.
He bopped to music that only he could hear, paying little attention to his surrounds and more attention to his thoughts.
…that’s when he waltzed straight into Kestrel, and nearly knocked the smaller she-cat over.
It was funny – he had the silliest expression on face as he looked between the two she-cats, as if he had only just noticed them…which was a true fact. He then shuffled backwards a little uneasily, and dropped the rabbit, dipping his head embarrassedly.
“Deadnight was a rockin’ and no saw you. Take rabbit as apology.”
He was always a sucker for a pretty face, and both she-cats were lovely. Even more embarrassed, he turned around and plopped down so that he wouldn’t have to look at the she-cats; knowing that they would have to be laughing at his foolishness and insanity.

Kestrel was not overly serious; she just rarely laughed. As she regained her balance, she cracked the smallest of grins. Waving her tail, she mewed, "This is Deadnight, one of RisingClan's newer members. He is, actually, harmless despite his actions. Don't let him worry you." She glanced at the newcomer as she said this, but her mismatched eyes carried nothing but good humor.

The she-cat couldn't help but surpress a grin at the tom's actions. Silliness was always fun, even if she never played the part. It was an act she rarely saw on her travels. Deadnight was one of a kind, and seeing any cat at all was a act to be cherished. He reminded her of her brother, whom parted ways with her a long time ago.
She got to her paws gracefully, smiled once more at the shaggy looking tom and turned to face Kestrel once more. Rumor has spread of two rogue clans rising against eachother.. Risingclan, and Boneclan. The rumors must be true, for here we are in this valley, under the clan name. She looked between the two of them before continuing.
I can be of great service to you and your clan. I'm a fierce warrior by nature, but true to my word and laws, and will not betray my clan. She said it all with a firm tone, blinking and looking Kestrel in the eye. It was not a show of dominance, as most took it. It was proof she was worthy of such a name; warrior. It was proof she was not lying, and she would fufill her tasks with grace.

Kestrel peered closely at the she-cat. Over the moons Kestrel had become an excellent judge of character, and she guessed this cat was not lying. "Indeed, the Rogue Clans will soon be at war," she mewed solemnly. "BoneClan is a clan of killers, cat-eaters, even. I have witnessed their darkness with my own eyes; they wouldn't hesitate to kill a kit, rape a she-cat, murder a loner for no reason at all. RisingClan has formed to combat their evil, cliche' as that sounds." Her claws cut tiny nitches in the ground, and her mismatched eyes flashed with a dormant fury. BoneClan. The name burned in her mind. BoneClan must fall.
After a moment of deliberation, Kestrel flicked the newcomer's shoulder with her tail and meowed, "Welcome to RisingClan warrior."

She nodded with appreciation to the she-cat, her mind thinking. She was a logical thinker.. An intellectual, if you will. If there was anybody who could plot tactics, arrange ambushes, and kill on cue, it was her. She tilted her head to the side, ears flicking forward as she sat down finally after crossing the borders. Her tail flicked eagerly, waiting to get started. Battles were fun for her.. She was, if you will, a tomboy, even if she was a fully grown adult. She was half way through her life before becoming an elder, and she wanted to make the best of it.
The she-cat stood suddenly, an anticipation and knowing burning in her eyes. Well, then let us begin! Boneclan.. A clan of kills and deceit. Let them know how it's like to lose a clan member.. We will kill one of their own kind. She stated pleasantly, thinking.

Kestrel's eyes flickered with amusement, and for a moment she was about to reign this cat in. 'Now is not the time for battles' said the words on her tongue, but Kestrel swiftly swallowed them. She'd like the chance to see this cat in action. Instead, she meowed, "I'd like to hold a brief meeting -the first in history- to indroduce the new members, and then we can decide what to do with BoneClan. How does that sound to you?" She paused and glanced at the two other cats.

Deadnight had stayed silent, although he had turned around so he could actually watch the two she-cats instead of just listen to them. Their conversation was interesting to him, and a sudden flash of wisdom lit up unearthly green eyes.
“After the meeting…I think I know of just the tom to bring to Risingclan. A loner I met, not bad sort.”

The maine coon looked up at Kestrel. She paused to consider the thought, but she was quick to respond. Yes, that'll be good. It will be very.. Informative, and give me an insight as to know what's going on in Risingclan. She said softly, and looked to Deadnight. It didn't surprise her at all to see a flare of wisdom spark into his green eyes; most cats like that were intellectuals. They just didn't know how to act around others, which she thought to herself was the case with the tom. She nodded to him. She liked the new idea; new members, more tactics. This should get interesting.

At the new she-cat’s nod, no…her name was Bluerage, not she-cat; the tom suddenly backed up a bit, a bit flustered. He wasn’t used to people agreeing with his ideas – so usually they weren’t expressed.
“Right-o, I’ll do that then if Kestrel agrees. …can look for cucumbers on the way too.”

Kestrel nodded in satasfaction. "Excellent," she mewed swiftly, playing the part of the efficient leader. "You can round up your friend whenever you like, and I believe it's about time to start the meeting..." She stood and toom a few steps toward camp, glancing back to see if the others were following.

Bluerage had gotten to her paws and padded after her new leader, tail flicking softly behind her in a calm manner, ears tilting to the side and all around for intruders. The meeting.. It was about to start, and Bluerage couldn't wait.
