Kestrel crouched and took a flying leap onto the Sandstone. The massive sandy-colored boulder stood at one end of camp and provided shelter from the elements. As soon as the gray and white Risingclan leader cleared the top, a brisk wind buffeted her. Her ears were whipped back by the gale. A few raindrops pelted down from a white sky, but for now the rest of the rain held back. Kestrel surveyed the camp with mismatched eyes, her tiny smile betraying her satasfaction. Things are going well, she thought happily. Taking a deep rain-laden breath, she cried out, "Cats of RisingClan, gather 'round!"

The blue-grey maine coon had already taken a seat below the sandy colored stone before the leader had annoucned a coming to. Her ears picked up as she yowled to the clan above the weather, the wind almost tossing the she-cat to the ground. Either way, Bluerage loved the rain, and never minded a little wind storm. To her, it was refreshing. Granted, it was odd cat behaviour. But the she-cat had always been a little left of center, never truly abiding by true cat instincts. She wouldn't have them any other way.

Deadnight sat away from the other cats. It was hard to say whether or not the insane tom really noticed the rain; he was staring rather intently at the ground instead. However, it was evident from the way his ears twitched that he was listening to the other cats, and would respond if spoken too.
Nearby sat the rabbit he had caught earlier; completely untouched. He had, after all, given it to the she-cats, and wouldn’t eat any of it.

Even further back, almost completely hidden by a stand of long grass, sat Sin. The delicate looking she-cat lifted her brilliant blue hues up, watching Kestrel…and preparing for her words. She had found a place, a potential new home, and the beautiful young cat was more than ready to prove herself worthy.
Pity she was an assassin after all.
Not letting those thoughts to get her down, Sin looked at the other cats. Only two, both those she hadn’t met. Another she-cat, and a huge tom.

The she-cat looked up. It was too quiet, even above the rain. Normally Deadnight was blabbering on about something or the other.. This 'cucumber' thing he spoke so highly of, and other random things. What went on in the tom's mind was all for him to know, and a mystery to her. She furrowed her brow. She was always shifty around strangers, especially those like Deadnight.. But she couldn't help but feel sorry for him. She got up and strutted through the rain over to the rabbit, where she grabbed it and nudged towards him before taking a bite of it herself.

Twitch.
Green eyes blinked, once, looking at the rabbit and then to Bluerage. He shifted, clearly still embarrassed from earlier. After all…he was a sucker for a pretty face, and he had acted like a bumbling dimwit.
..of course…he was a bumbling dimwit, but to act like on in front of his clan leader and a pretty newcomer? How embarrassing that was.
“You are the weakest link. Good-bye.”
Remarkable what one could learn from living with Humans, twolegs, whatever other cats called them. He sniffed the rabbit, giving the she-cat a funny grin, and tore a ragged bite of flesh from it.

The she cat furrowed her brow in confusion, but the smile remained there on her maw. Whatever babble he was speaking, didn't matter to her. Probably didn't mean anything. Weakest Link..? What in StarClan's name did this cat talk about..?
She tore at a scrap of scrawny meat from the rabbit, looking up at Kestrel as she continued to chew.

Jet leapt through the bushes and boulders, the sand and dust, and shoved the ferns back to enter his clan's camp. His pale, strange eyes gleamed with something as he pushed his way forward, tail-tip flicking.
"Sorry I'm late, Kestrel," he panted, blinking as he gazed around at their small camp. New warriors was good; seeming how they almost had more than BoneClan. He thought he'd make this sly little announcement to Kestrel later, after she was done with her meeting.
He caught a glance of Deadnight and Bluerage, and noticed a pretty little cat named Sin with a dead look. He shrugged, knowing some more warriors had joined, just not shown up. He sat, curling a long tail around his paws, lavender eyes gleaming.

Kestrel's eyes glittered. "Hello, Jet. I'm glad you could make it." she mewed warmly. Raising her voice, she called out, "RisingClan, it is time to decide-- what now? How shall we shape our future? But first, we have many new members. Bluerage, Sin, and Deadnight are just a few, so I shall spare a moment to welcome them to our Clan." She bowed her head in respect for them; after all, they had chosen to come of their own accord.

Jet dipped his head to them, mewing a greeting. "You made the right choice, in coming to Risingclan instead of Boneclan," he promised, eyes gleaming.

As soon as she was pointed out, Sin drew back a little in the grass, not wanting to draw attention to herself. Although she was with her new clan, with those she could trust, old instincts died hard and it was poor for an assassin to draw attention to themselves.
It made committing a murder a bit more difficult.
However, the pretty she-cat dipped her head in respect towards Kestrel, and to the new tom, the one she had called Jet, with his handsome lavender eyes.

"We rise up and squash the boney cats!"
Deadnight raised his voice with a chuckle, not really helping to contribute to the discussion. However, his mind flickered, and he noddedly sagely.
"We need more members, first. After we gather a few more, mayhaps we then follow Bluerage's plan...?"

Silvertail walked into the RisingClan camp. A meeting was going on! She couldn't miss this! If she wanted to be apart of RisingClan she had to be there for meetings, to know what is happening, to listen. She seemed a bit confused at first, for not knowing half of the meetings conversation. This Clan was still growing, she couldn't wait to see it full with loyal cats and chatter. She sat before Kestrel, quietly listening to the cats as they spoke of the Clan. I think I made a great choice. RisingClan, different. But...better. She smiled, tail swaying to and fro.

Deepcreek was, ahem, "fasionably" late. She padded quickly but quietly into the RisingClan camp, nose dipping as she greeted the small group of cats discussing their clan.
She knew little of these cats. One, recognised, she did--"Sin", the assassin. Tail twitching as she sat down, as close as she could to her clanmates, she tried to find some comfort in them.
Long days of wandering and loneliness had over-taken her, and when Kestrel had offered her to join... It wasn't very difficult to refuse. She felt something in this leader, this leader for whom these five other cats seemed to have much respect for.
Rain pattered down in the gathering darkness. With no one very near her, Deepcreek felt awkward--but not alone. She glanced around, finding strength and pride in these cats' eyes.
She turned again to Kestrel, listening carefully.

Kestrel nodded, waving her tail for silence. "Bluerage," she called once all was quiet once more. "Would you like to explain to all of us your plan? I believe you touched on it not so long ago, but I would like more in-depth information." She smiled, more a shadow of a smile than a true grin, and it was tinged with sadness. "You see, I can lead, but I know little of war tactics."

Bluerage looked a bit shocked as she was suddenly called upon, and her gaze danced around at the cats as their gazes shifted to look at her. I.. Ah, right. She stood up and trotted forward so the other cats could see her better and turned to look at them with a flick of her bushy tail.
Boneclan! She hissed, spitting the words with distaste. How much pain and suffering they have caused other cats. Including Risingclan. Rape, murder, an assortment of things too upsetting to say. Her voice grew more confident, and she rose to her feet. What if.. We repayed them, with a bit of our own ferocity? She wandered to the side. Risingclan is not known for their cold nature, but what if.. She cast her gaze up at the leader for acceptance to her words. We did something, not sinking to their level, but enough to leave our mark on the Boneclan? Something traumatic.. I say.. Bluerage turned her cold gaze upon the other cats once more. We steal a kit. A boneclan kit...
She nodded her head. We don't kill it, mind you.. But even a cold heart has something for their own kits. She looked up, nodding her head to announce that she was done

Kestrel looked down at her paws, her mouth moving but no sound coming out. She was thinking. Her eyes moved from one paw to the other, as though in her mind she was weighing two options and her eyes were following her thoughts. Finally, she raised her head. She didn't quite smile, but the lights in her eyes were bright, defiant. Out loud she meowed, "The moralities of this plan are questionable, but to take a kit...to maybe raise it as our own...would strike quite a blow. Imagine...watching your kit grow up the the enemy." Her expression wavered for a moment, then grew even more confident. "If we took a kit, we could raise it to be good and strong. BoneClan blood does nothing; it is blood. It is not a curse. A kit with BoneClan blood could be as good as any of us." Her eyes flashed fiercely, and above her head a storm brewed. Thunder rolled across the meadow. "We do it."

Deepcreek narrowed her eyes, mixed feelings about their new plan stirring up old emotions of anger and lost. The rain poured as she hunched her shoulders and stood, padded over to clanmates Deadnight, behind Bluerage.
"Fine, then. We'll take a kit--but how?" Her eyes drifted from the warrior to the leader and back, expectantly. "Their camp must be well gaurded if they have kits, and queens. How could we possibly get that close?"
Her dark fur shifted in the wind, and for a moment or two Deepcreek could almost scent her own fear. If BoneClan was so savage as every RisingClan cat--and other cats--knew, would that task be even possible?

As though she had read Deepcreek's mind, Kestrel meowed, "BoneClan is savage, but they are still mortal. They are cats, like me...and like you." Her mismatched eyes flashed, and somehow they seemed to belong to two different cats: the yellow eye burning with fierce, righteous rage, while in the depths of the blue eye calm shone like a beacon. She was two cats, a punisher, a cat of justice, and a cat of sorrow, wise words, and compassion. It was a strange combination, but somehow Kestrel pulled them together into a persona for herself. Shaking the rain from her feathery pelt, she cried over the rising wind, "I shall take two of my best warriors, and both must be fast and silent. This mission is one of stealth and shadows." She lowered her head, gazing at her Clan from the corners of her mismatched eyes. "I think it will be best if we strike tonight...in the cover of the storm."

Sin remained away from the clan cats; stunning blue orbs watching the cats. The plan…was a sound one – but she was a killer and not a tactician; so what did she know?
…things that no cat should ever know, and remain sane.
Her eyes fell to Deepcreek, then Deadnight, and lastly Bluerage. All were strong, sens….well, maybe not Deadnight, but the other two were sensible. What would they do if Boneclan decided to get their young kit back? Fight, of course, but the kit would instinctfully return to the scent it was more familiar with.
And that was when Sin realized she would have to be the one to kill the kit rather than let Boneclan retrieve it. No other cat here needed that sordid taint upon their soul – forever forbidden to join their ancestors within Starclan. It was already far too late for her; she would kill it.
[Blah post; I’m out of ideas on what to say for Deadnight.]
