Sunsetfire stood next to his sister, at the border of Risingclan. A painful lump rose in the young tom’s throat – how could he say good-bye to her? She was all he had left; his mind no longer thought Darkangel as a sibling, one to be loved and cherished, but as an enemy, one to rip and rend and destroy in any way he could find.
“Sis, I…”
He stopped, amber hues wavering.

Fallingsky paused, one graceful paw suspended in the air, breathtakingly beautiful in her hesitation. Golden ears twitched, tilted back; blue eyes shimmered delicately in sad resignment. She knew, through the shining invisible thread that linked her to her brother, that Sunsetfire was hurting. She knew what he was thinking. They were all that was left of Honeymist...all that was left of each other. Brushing Sunetfire's shoulder with a bushy tail, she whispered, "Brother...I know. I know." "But I have to go." She glanced over at her brother, slanted blue eyes wise beyond her moons. "My fate lies ahead. We'll meet again, in battle with our mother's killer. We'll meet again in our free world, the one we shall create ourselves." Her eyes flashed. She had a talent with words, and the shadowed words she spoke now were laced with a kind of magic. "Light shall spring forth from the bodies of our father and our sister; the light shall reveal a new world, free of their tyranny."
The white paw dropped, softly, and Fallingsky took a step forward. Her voice, quiet in the morning air, resonated with love and promises: "Goodbye, my brother. ...For when I am finished chasing my dream, I can think of no place better to rest than by your side."
She moved on, feeling a painful tugging at the heart; her entire body throbbed with each step she took away from her brother. With a final, agonized rending the thread that connected her to Sunsetfire broke. Fallingsky padded on, not looking back though she felt the absence of her brother with each step onward. Maybe someday she could fill this hole in her heart -the one that belonged to Sunsetfire- once more, but until then she walked alone.

“We both have dreams to follow, to hunt and to seek.”
Sunsetfire was brave and honorable…and although eh didn’t share the same gifts as his dear sister, he had his own to shine upon the world.
“Goodbye Fallingsky. We will meet once again; I shall rise Stealthclan and together with Risingclan, this world will be freed.”
Step by step, he watched his sister slowly pad away, amber hues darkened to cold burnished crystals in his agony.
…it was not until she was fully out of sight for a fair long time, when the young golden tom turned and headed away.
They both must follow the paths Starclan marked out for them. However, those paths were interwoven, as were their fates. This knowledge the young tom knew, and understood. It made the burden of letting her go, of leaving her a little bit easier.
…however it didn’t ease the pain.
No, no he couldn’t let himself be weakened. He had to remain strong, to become the great warrior that he was destined to be. To raise Stealthclan from the ashes, return here, and, with Fallingsky and Risingclan, destroy the hateful plague that was Boneclan.
