The mouse escaped into the tall golden stalks. It squeaked in terror as a brush of brown fur skidded in front of it, veering around the sharp turn. The mouse turned and galloped at full speed towards it's den, but the kit was on it's tail. Just before it escaped into it's den, a brown paw was upon it's tail, holding it down. He held it up to his eyes, the mouse dangling from his paw. The mouse realized it was a kit. Deep brown and color, and thick shaggy fur. His long tail flicked against the dusty ground when the kit put it down, ready for another terrorizing game of chase.
He landed once more in front of the mouse, hissing a threat to the mouse. It was very kit like, the tone. But it meant business. Around and around the golden stalks he went, but he was too caught up in the mouse to realize he was running along Duskclan borders. Barely a toe had stepped over the boundary when he took off around a U-turn after his prey.
He didn't plan to eat the mouse, no. The loners already fed him that day. He was just up for a game. The tail of the mouse dangled from his jaws when he looked up over the vast land, standing upon a rock. He dropped the mouse between his paws, so as not to let it escape. His long and fluffy tail flicked against the side of the rock, golden eyes peering curiously over the borders.

ooc| I'm REALLY sorry, but I have to go to camp for the next two weeks before I can post... You have two choices:
You can One: Either have automatic acceptance into the Clan, or Two: Wait until I come back to post.
Again, I'm really sorry!
---> But also, keep in mind that Sabrestar ((if you pick number One)) is very picky of cats, and will not accept you into the clan if your cat is not strong, a good fighter, fierce, or clever. Remember, Duskclan is like Shadowclan, known for their ferocity and heartlessness - and we want to keep that reputation. (:

"Are you looking for your own deathwish, kit?"
The soft hiss dripped with a thousand droplets of fiery venom, cold and harsh; though feminine and smooth. Mockery intertwined itself into the female's voice, along with bemusement. Where did her v oice come from? The voice, right now, could not be pinpointed - it was somewhere here, somewhere there - a movement in the shadows, too stealthy to be found when - there was a small blur of sleek, shining, inky black, dropping from the trees, violently knocking the kit powerfully against his shoulder; allowing the mouse its escape.
Now, silhoutted against the boulder that the loner kit stood upon, was Sabrestar; Duskclan's magnificent leader. Held in all her royalty, the Mistress smirked just slightly, long tail swaying slowly behind her, long, slightly curly, night-black coat groomed to perfection so that every hair was set in its own individual place. Icey-blue, silver eyes glittered behind a wall of stoicality, only allowing few to none emotions to seep through - and one of those emotions were a malicious, diabolical threatening. Her eyes flashed in the waning gibbous light, daring the kit to speak further.
"Would you care to explain to me why you are hunting within my boundaries?"
Sabrestar took notice to the way the kit was out of her borders; but the mouse belonged to Duskclan territory - it was her Clan's by right. The boundary stretched a good few taillenghts, and within that invisible boundary line, the mouse was caught. So. Stupid move, there.
"It was not wise for a kit like you to do so."

Talonkit was stunned as he was barreled over, winding up on his stomach staring up at the majestic leader. He kept his emotions to himself, but he couldn't let an irritated look cross his features as he watched the mouse scurried away. He looked back up at the inky black leader, staring hard into her eyes.
I wasn't going to eat it.. I'm not even hungry. He muttered, looking away. Although his excuse was hard to buy, it was true. He'd been fed earlier today, much to the irritation of the other rogue cats. He sat up awkwardly. He was so warm, too. The heat from the rock warmed his pawpads, and he relaxed a little. He was at all scared by the dignity she carried with her, or the icey glare she gave to the young kit.
B'sides, I didn't mean to cross the borders as well. I'm just.. playing around, I guess. He looked up at the leader with an anxious, trying desperatly to make even a hint of sense. He doubted the noble cat would give him any mercy for appearing to hunt on her territory, or even crossing the borders if he hadn't already done so. But he flicked his tail in wait anyways.

Sabrestar let out a soft snarl, releasing the kit with a sharp flick of her paws, eyes flinted. Her long whiskers twitched in slight irritation, though it all died down to a haunting, emotionless stone.
"Playing?"
She brought down her muzzle so that she was just a hairsbreadth away from Talonkit's muzzle, her sweet breath bathing his heated face like ice melting on a stove. Her frighteningly beautiful face was calm, callous and collected; but it was obvious that behind that, there was a volatile flame, ready to ignite at any movement.
"You are playing near the brink of death, kit. Now tell me, and choose your words carefully, why you are here."

Talonkit rolled over on her side to escape being bit by the majestic leader, seeming how she was so close to his muzzle. I came looking for a home. I was looking for Duskclan, but I got lost and side-tracked. He shoved out quickly, ears laying down flat as Sabrestar gazed at him coldly. The kit had a lot of spunk, you had to give him that much. He was daring, if not remarkably stupid to stand up to the leader. Now he was flat-out scared Sh*tless! He was small enough to eat, especially by the lithe and graceful (if not cold) leader. He was born tiny, and he was still that way. But he had the spunk, and the determination to get what he wanted.
((He just seems to be digging himself into a deeper hole. o-o But you gotta love him anyways. ^^))

ooc| He's so cute and innocent. (: I can't wait to make him evil. XD -maniacal laughter-
ic| "So are you asking for acceptance, kit?"
Sabrestar asked, her voice still holding the faintest trace of a snarl, but her eyes shimmering with a thoughtfullness within their depths of ice. Her black face turned slightly, awaiting an answer.
ooc| Sorry it's sooooooo bad. > I'm braindead right now, and I have 3476534786 other posts to attend to. xD -shot-

Bad? Have you been reading my posts?? o-o
I can't wait to see what he'll turn out to be as an evil kitty >3
Talonkit sat up, nodding energetically. He was making sense finally! Yeah! Asseptance! His smile faded and turned to confusion. Where am I bein' assepted in to, might I ask? He said. It was true, she hadn't mentioned where they were, or what her boundaries were called. He looked up, ears flicking.
His expression was that of innocence, but beneath his big golden eyes were that of a strong warrior. Whether Sabre was to see this, it was all up to her.
