Pretty fancy. Of course, this is about cats. Stormpaw, to be exact. He's a trusty little fancy-pants Russian Blue / American Shorthair mix, though you'd never tell he was a mix breed. Unless you were some sort of super hero whose superpower was telling whether or not a cat was a mixed breed. Then you could tell, and do it lightning fast, too!
"I do this, I do that, a little kittycat fast pants fancy tooting train train dicso," sang the little blue apprentice. And by blue I mean the colour, not the mood, because even though he is /emo/ he's actually happy, but Shocky is /emo/ so dear old Stormy must be /emo/ too. Ya? Ya. Emo.

o___o;
Sabrestar watched silently. A flicker passed her eyes - was it a hint of amusement, or disgust? Probably both. She had to admit, Stormpaw was probably one of the stranger ones out of her other apprentices. (He's probably the only apprentice. XD ) He reminded her a bit of Shocksoul. Singing randomly. Being wierd, yet spontaneous. It confuses Sabrestar. She's the quiet, deadly sorta thing. Like a wolf. Or something. And Stormpaw was like a mouse dancing close to the wolf's jaws. However, this wolf has already had enough to eat. So it won't kill the mouse. Yet.
The smooth, black feline slipped softly from her den, moss-curtains swept aside by a sharp flick of her muzzle. Long tail arched over her back, she stepped lightly over to Stormpaw - past Stormpaw, and stopped at the freshkill pile. Bending down, the Duskclan leader chose a plump rabbit, carrying it mutely back to the entrance of her den. From there, she lay down and began to eat.
"So what are you doing, Stormpaw?"
The cool meow sounded like liquid, smooth and running like molassas. She tore off the rabbit's head with a harsh crack, and threw it idly away from her and into the bushes away from the clearing. Flipping the rabbit over, she unsheathed one glittering, 5 inch claw, and tore the kill straight down from the neck to the tail in one quick, easy stroke. Picking out the heart first, she ate it evenly and apathetically, not a flicker of emotion betraying her.

"I am certainly singing in a most fancy way," he mewed in his smooth meow. Surprisingly smooth, which is why he was such a fantabulous singer. Yeah, he's cool like that.
Stormpaw's very nice blue eyes flickered as he glanced around, gaze resting on Sabrestar. He feigned seriousness, his maw drawn into a taught frown, because serious people frown a lot.
"See how I frown?" he mewed, scratching his muzzle with his paw, "It's because I'm very insanely serious."

MetalHeart had been watching closely to the strange behaivor of the cat. Sabrestar had entered the sence as she had predicted when she smelt the strong felines approach. This was going to be intresting. MetalHeart knew she would be seen, but she didn't care. Sabrestar may have been the leader of DuskClan, but MetalHeart was leader of herself, no cat, not even a leader was taking her down without a fight. Silently she watched from her position in the tall grass, her tail twitching anxiously at the air.
(Sorry, is it ok if I join in?)

"I would advise you not to mock me, Apprentice."
Sabrestar stated cooly, amused yet in a way, defiant. A small smile twitched at the corners of her lips. Unsheathing her claw once more, she tore off a piece of flesh, placing it delicately in her mouth as if it were a prized gourmet food. Of course, it wasn't, Sabrestar was just bored and didn't feel like tearing at it like a savage.
Then, there was the scent of the loner. Sabrestar didn't move, just continued to eat - though her ears turned to the exact position of Metalheart, taking note of the long tail just poking out from the waves of wheat alongside of the Camp's Clearing. Icey-blue eyes shone with cold fire, as they suddenly turned - fixing them upon the very faint silhoutte of the female.
"It is not wise to wander so dangerously close to the Duskclan Camp, loner."
She commented softly, deviously, her lips dripping with freezing venom. Cleanly tearing off the remaining flesh on the rabbit, she ate it in one smooth, fluid motion - muscles and sinew writhing like snakes beneath the smooth, inky black pelt of Duskclan's Mistress. Taking the skeleton in her right paw, she whipped it away into the woods ruthlessly. Sabrestar settled back on her paws, not a flicker of threat, fear, nor anger past her stoic eyes. The Leader was small - in fact, she was actually the same size as Stormpaw - an apprentice? Yes. But her personality, her cunning, her strenght, her speed, her virulent air was fit to match a wolf. She's often compared to one - even though, in body structure, they were both very different. However, when it comes to mental capability,
Sabrestar is a wolf.
A deadly one.

"Because I am very serious and we do not like to attack us serious kitty-cats we will eat your brains now run I' m dangerous see this frown?"
Now, frowns generally don't make cats look dangerous, and this was, of course, the case for Stormpaw. But, he was cool. /Emo/ if you will. Except not. Whatever.
"We do eat brains, right big miss leader crazy "wolf" cat thing?"

Metalheart didn't move as the piercing blue eyes fell on her, without hesitation she padded over to the leader. Sabrestars ink black pelt seemed to glow in the days light as she came closer. Next Metalheart noted the duskclan leaders size, small and lean. This obvioulsy didn't mean she wasn't strong, for she could smell the strength and confidence the feline carried. She would be wary, being careful not to upset the ruthless cat. Once she was beside the cat, Metalheart sat down, about a meter from the duskclan leader, her tail swatting at the air. "It is true I am a loner, but thats such a harsh label. I perfer to think of myself as-" She paused and shot a grin towards Sabrestar, "-A unique individual." her white teeth flashed. Now Metalhearts emerald green eyes fell on shocksoul. "You are indeed the most annoying cat I have ever met." She mocked. Then tilting her head to the side she turned back to Sabrestar in one swift movement, "Don't mind me intruding, I'm just wandering aimlessly."
It was true Sabrestar had much more experiance then Metalheart, but there was one thing that matched the duskclan leader. And that was her heart... Darkness could not start to explain the emotions Metalheart carried in her soul... Darker then Sabrestars pelt........

"Wandering aimlessly does not normally result in death."
Sabrestar cut in smoothly, sliding smoothly to her paws. She sat down, wrapping her glossy tail around reclined haunches. She scrutinized Metalheart's figure coldly - stoicly, eyes shining silver within the mid-noon sun, a smirk just barely clinging to the Duskclan Leader's lips.
"How can a Clan Leader not mind a rogue breaking through our scented boundaries, then meandering so loosely, so casually amongst our grounds without even a word of acceptance? You speak as if you have authority amongst Duskclan; which you are being denied of. I suggest you state your actual business of coming upon my Lands before blood is shed."
Her soft voice carried traces of a snarl, her eyes just daring Metalheart to talk back to her, to disobey her, to disrespect her. Shifting her gaze just past the "unique individual", she rested her eyes upon Stormpaw.
"Does a Duskclan Apprentice back down from a challenge?"
The feline asked quietly, referring to Metalheart's "annoying cat" comment from earlier on. Sabrestar felt her smile curl just slightly, wavering upon her flawless lips, waiting.

Even though Stormpaw was Stormpaw, not Shocksoul, it was an easy mistake to make. They were, after all, half-brothers.
"Of course a DuskClan apprentice would not backdown from a challenge. They might back up to gain some speed, or might go into the fight backwards if they had fallen from a tree onto their head, but otherwise they wouldn't back down, miss."
Now, Stormpaw was surprisingly fierce. Though he didn't appear to fit the Duskclan mold, underneath all the fluffy goodness was some cold unbaked apples in the pie that was Stormpaw. His eyes flared with the battle lust, and he stared down Metalheart.
"Annoying, you say?" he mewed, paws carrying him to the left and foreward, "I'm BLUE! I'm the colour of rain. I'm the envisionment of sorrow, so I express my joy. I am not annoying."

MetalHeart felt Sabrestar's taunting words strike her. She almost curled her lips back in a low growl then thought better. "My buisness is to scout out your clan." She stated cooly, adding quickly, "I wanted to see with my own eyes if it's all it's said to be." Carefully she stood up, her body was slim and her coat was slick, all the patterns of orange and white danced over her strong leg muscles. Swiftly she slipped over to Stormpaw and circled the cat, her fur barely whispering against his own. A slender tail dragged across his neck, flicking up at his chin. "Now, we want no troubles do we my sorrowful little kit?" She chuckled, narrowing her eyes towards Sabrestar as she said this. "And Sabrestar..." MetalHeart cooed, "I've heard so much about you." Her eyes flickered back the dare.

Sabrestar didn't like this cat too much.
She reminded her too much of herself.
"Is my Clan what you thought it would be?"
Sabrestar snarled softly, white fangs glistening like icey diamons within the faint shimmer of sunlight break through the boughs of trees surrounding the Camp.
"If it is not, I kindly direct you to the exit of my Clan. I would happily escort you there."
The Duskclan Leader smiled this time, a full, taunting smile - though within that smile there was a hint of sick amusement that seemed to portrude through her eyes like a sharpened thorn.
"Are you mocking me, Loner?"
Sabrestar's amusement vanished, leaving a cold, callous outer shell - eyes sincere and burning with a fierce fire that was dipped in deadly venom.
Watch your tongue. Sabrestar might cut it out. Literally.

MetalHeart took no notice to Sabrestars change in mood and sat down next to Stormpaw, her eyes stared up at the sky, glazed over and distant. "Perhaps I'm mocking you," She stated, "Or perhaps I'm testing you." Her eyes shot down to Sabrestar. She knew she was pushing her luck, but she had waited too long to sit aside idealy as this cat pushed her around. "I don't suppose you've ever thought of co-owning, have you?" A grin tugged at the corner of her lips then settled back into a steady frown. "And yes, your clan does impress me, that's why I'd like to join." MetalHeart's attention wavered again and she stared out at another spot in the sky, past Sabrestar's head. "All the other clans are pathetic wastes of my time. They train for the wrong reasons. While we, could take over this hole of a place." Standing up, Metalheart slid past Stormpaw and raked her tail under his chin once more. She padded over to Sabrestar, swaying back and forth and stopping about a meter away. "If not I can head on my way, but I must say, I admire you Sabrestar. You've got more then any other cat here could ever offer."

It didn't take more than a nano-second. A fierce blur of black and twisting muscles suddenly sped forth, too fast for the eye to comprehend, lithe and powerful and fast and -
Sabrestar lunged, aimed directly in the middle of Metalheart's chest - paws outstretched, each of her hideous five-inch claws unsheathed. Pressing her right paw against the Loner's throat, she had one claw directly below Metalheart's right eye. She lowered her sharpened muzzle just a hairsbreadth away from Metalheart's nose, lips pulled back in a wicked snarl, fangs shining a venomous white. Sabrestar was a frightening sight; her normally long, smooth, emotionless figure now bristeling and stiff, long fangs bared, a diabolical aura seemingly radiating off of her silhoutted figure.
"Do you really think I would allow you to join? You have not one ounce of respect; and no, do not shower me with petty compliments. After casually waltzing into my territory with not a care in the world, you openly mock me? You are flirting with death, Loner. You may have the intelligence, the clever we need in Duskclan, but you have the attitude that would never allow you to join my Clan. Co-Owning? That is probably an impossible possibility as of this moment. Shape up your form, flatter me, and perhaps you have the slightest chance of joining; but unless you do something miraculous, you have no liability in being raised to higher ranks. Listen to me, and listen well. You either shape up your smart ass attitue now, or you leave, and be cursed from my lands and be stalked by my Warriors as prey."
Sabrestar's eyes were narrowed slits of silver-blue, tail arched high over her back, claws just barely touching Metalheart's eye. Just one touch would be all it takes to half-blind the she-cat, and Sabrestar would not hesitate.
Careful now. You're made the wolf angry.

MetalHeart didn't move, she had been startled when Sabrestar had first pounced, but other then that her face now showed no emotion. She lay still her eyes watching Sabrestar intently. "Now, what would you gain from killing me?" MetalHeart drawled, "I'm just an average cat." And with that she kicked up her powerful back legs, throwing them over her head. It was like a backwards sumersalt-type leap. Quickly she landed on her paws, back arched and head bent low. Her green eyes watched Sabrestar's every move. MetalHeart had down nothing but traveling and training since before she could remember. Her muscles were extremly strong, and all her power went into flinging herself backwards in a lightning fast kick.
And it was still barely enough...
Sabrestar was strong, really strong. It took all of MetalHearts power to get herself back on her feet. She had thrown the leader aside from her force and size, but she was sure she could never win in a fight. "My my, such a temper." MetalHeart admired, "Fine, throw me out. But I warn you, I will not take this lightly." She was still watching. "Send your 'minions' after me. I don't care. I'll kill them all, just like I killed every other rouge that got in my way before."

Sabrestar was flung back - but her muscular, lithe hind legs kept her balance, her muzzle low to the ground and her eyes twin points of pitless hate. Tail lashing, she lifted her head.
"My temper normally does not snap. It takes bitches like you to break it."
The Duskclan Leader's fur began to lie flat on her broad shoulders once more, though her tail was still stiff and her claws still unsheathed. Sabrestar had to admit, this she-cat was clever. In fact, she was just like Sabrestar herself - almost exactly like her. Except Sabrestar had a hold on High Status as Leader of a Clan, and Metalheart is just a Loner. It's a shame, she would have made a wonderful addition to Duskclan. Too bad she has an annoying attitude.
"That leaves one less average cat to taint Duskclan's Land."
Sabrestar leapt forward, darting to her right, then to her left, landing a foot away from Metalheart's shoulder. Sabrestar's eyes flashed coldly within the gently falling summer sun, long whiskers straight and smooth, recollecting herself and hiding away her anger behind an imperturbable wall once more.
"Why would I care if you did not take this lightly? I think it is you who should be worried about your own well being. Congratulations, you have now turned one of the most powerful Clans in this forest upon your own tail."
Sabrestar smiled.
"Leave me. Now."

MetalHeart grinned, her body lay motionless as her eyes perked back. "With pleasure." She spoke, voice betraying her emotion. A fake smile was still plastered across her face and green eyes flickered with caged excitment. Quickly she spang on her pads and shot out of the scene, flashing past Stormpaw. Her whiskers bounced back and her feet carried her faster then her adrenaline raced. Soon she was nothing more then a small black silhouette blending into the horizon.
She'd had her fun
For now...
