Huh? What was happening?
...Where could he be?
Tall grasses framed the little kitten's veiw of the sky, making him feel trapped. Azure eyes studied the fluffy white clouds for a moment before glancing around. Grass waved in the slight wind, dancing along to some eerie, silent song. Through their dance, he could catch glimpses of a formidible stone face, towards which he decided to move.
It was the only other thing he could spot besides grass, and it filled him with a slight hope. Hopefully someone could tell him what was going on. He couldn't... remember... Anything at all. His name, his family, his home... All lost by some black wall in his head. It was like he was forbidden to access the memories. Like someone was holding them back. No matter how hard he tried too, there was nothing to take down the wall.
So here he was, completely lost, alone, and heading for somewhere he didn't even know anything about. His blue-grey fur rustled in the breeze, making him curl up against the crisp winds for a second. He wished he could stay curled up, stay safe. He couldn't help but feel scared and hopelessly gone. Common sense won over him for now, though, and he straightened up, glaring at his destination.
A few more pawlengths and he would escape the grasses, and hopefully this wall that had him locked away from himself. With a small mew, he bounded the last couple of lengths and broke free from the grass. He glanced around, hoping to see someone that could help him.

Featherstar looked up when she heard a slight rustle in the grass, just in time to see a small kit come out of the tall weeds. He seemed lost and confused. As he looked around, the lithe she-cat quietly padded over and said gently, Hello little kit. Are you lost? Is there something that I can do to help you? The little kitten is so innocent he has to be lost, she thought. She waited patiently for the kitten's answer.

Another little mew, this time in surprise, escaped his mouth as someone else showed up. She was older than him, probably around his mother's age... If he had known his mother. His ears flattened back, blue eyes wide with fear. He crouched down submissively, tail wrapped tightly around his body.
Then he heard her speak, soft and gentle. He saw kindness in her eyes and felt a maternal warmness around this new cat. Still, he wasn't about to act casual and start conversing with her like nothing was wrong. Something was wrong. He couldn't remember.
So, instead of speaking, he simply nodded slowly, as if in a trace. Yes, he was lost, and yes, he needed help. But he didn't want to talk. Too many things were wrong and too many emotions like fear and confusion were in the way.

Featherstar had begun to worry about the little kit. He couldn't speak. That was understandable at the moment. He must have been through something terrible. she worried to herself. Would you like to come to my home? She attempted to get the kit to speak, I am Featherstar, leader of StoneClan, on whose territory you now stand. I would gladly take you to live in the clan. Do you have a name? Featherstar hoped that the young kit would speak soon.

He knew she was trying to pry him open, but still he refused. He felt safe and she was pulling him away from his comfort zone. Don't get this wrong, she wasn't being harsh or mean. She was nice. The only person he now knew of besides himself. If you could even say he knew himself.
He winced, both outwardly and inwardly. His emotion were struggling to stay in check. It was almost like he felt the pain of a memory he didn't even have. Not even having the memory was a pain in itself. Still, he didn't want to mess this up. Featherstar was nice and he didn't want her to think he hated her. He attempted to speak, obviously struggling with the task.
"No home... No name." He whispered, as if afraid of his own voice.

I see, Featherstar said quietly, Do you have any family? Featherstar had a hunch, that the kit couldn't remember a thing. He had amnesia. If he didn't know his family, she'd definitely take him under her wing and protect him. That was the motherly instinct within her. Having lost her own kits to Twolegs, she'd care after this kit with her very life.

After speaking so many words at once, he decided a simple shake of his head was good enough to show Featherstar that he had no family. With a sigh, the kitten hung his head as if to cry. He held the tears in, though, and quickly looked up at her with sad blue eyes. His optics almost pleaded with her, as if to say, "Take me away; I can't take being alone anymore."
It was a silent message, easily overlooked and neglected. The kitten was exactly like that: easily overlooked and neglected. Featherstar being his only memory now, he didn't want to lose her like every other memory he once had... If he really did have them.

Seeing the look in the kit's eyes made Featherstar feel sorrowful. For the kit and all those like him. Would you like a home in StoneClan. You can become an apprentice, taught the warrior code, and become a warrior, strong and fearless. Would you like that? A nod will work, she said unnecessarily.

To take her on her offer would seal his fate with a Clan for the rest of his life. The benefits of StoneClan? He would be given a purpose, family, friends, and a home. Everything he lacked would be filled to overflowing within a Clan. The closest hint of a smile he had ever come to hovered above his mouth like a ghost. With immense satisfaction, he nodded.
"...Name?" He wondered. That would be the only thing he didn't have now.

Hmmm. Yes you do need a name. You are about apprentice age so, Featherstar mumbled some names to herself and then suggested, Lostpaw, or Silentpaw? If you don't like those I could understand why. I am open to suggestions. Once he had a name Featherstar would take the kit to the camp. //OOC: I really am open to suggestions.

>>ooc: Oh Mah Gawsh! Those are good names. I kinda figured that his name was just gonna be given to him, but I get to choose? Awsome.<<
For a moment, the kit tilted his head as if pondering the suggestions given to him. Lostpaw did seem good, considering that he was just that. Silentpaw was good too, taking into account that he wasn't the most talkitive cat around... Yes, he would be honored to take on a name given to him by Featherstar.
"Lostpaw..." He answered after a few moments.
Then, decided that he would put forth the effort, Lostpaw decided to create a whole sentace.
"I... like... Lostpaw."
A small smile creased his little face, azul eyes looking up at Featherstar with some unknown emotion. It looked like hope. The idea that tomorrow might be worth waking up for.

Good choice. Lostpaw was my favorite too. I think that I will be your mentor. I will teach you what you need to know to become a proud warrior of StoneClan. Do you have any questions that you'd like to ask me of life in the clans? Featherstar wanted this kit to start life in the clans as comfortably as possible. He looked like he'd make a good warrior. And that was why Featherstar wanted him as her apprentice. //OOC: Lostpaw was my favorite in reality. I think it will make an awesome warrior name. I love this character. Good job!

>>ooc: *blushes* Aw, thankies!
The small smile didn't change in size as Lostpaw happily shook his head. Questions would come as answers were needed. Right now, all he wanted was to go to this place... The place he would call home from now on. StoneClan.
"StoneClan..." He felt the words roll of his tongue, foreign to say but soon to be common. "Home..."
He took a small step towards the direction from which Featherstar had come. He knew home was that way. Another step. Step. Step. He glanced over his shoulder, a new hope shining in his sapphire eyes. The smile broadened. With a playful flick of his tail, Lostpaw gave out a little mew. A mew of happiness.

Featherstar grinned. She hadn't expected Lostpaw to be so ready to go home. She trotted behind him calling in play, You better slow down, you don't know where home is!
//You can go ahead back to camp and post somewhere if you want to. Sorry for the post's shortness.
