The obsidian warrior padded over towards the leaders den. She was practically skeptical of this was happening. What was going to happen to her? Was she in trouble? She looked at the ground thoughtfully. No, she didn't do anything to upset the leader.. Did she? But she seemed eager to say something, so it was probably nothing bad.. Unless the leader was eager to simply kick her out? Snowstripe almost laughed at this. She paused at the entrance, tail flicking as she looked into the darkness. Featherstar.. You needed me?

Yes Snowstripe, Featherstar stood, and then sighed, Because Frosteye, our previous deputy, seems to have disappeared, I would like to ask you an important question. Would you like to become our deputy? If FrostEye returns, he may have the position back, but until then, would you like it? I ask this, not order it, you may turn the offer down. I would not be offended. Featherstar waited patiently for the black she-cat to think of what the leader had offered. //OOC: I really am offering this. So you don't think I'm insane.

The black she-cat seemed taken aback. Deputy position? Snowstripe?! She never thought herself a warrior of that great a status! Her face brightened and she broke into a wide grin. Featherstar.. You must be joking! Me? Deputy?! She smiled, tail flicking. I whole-heartedly accept! You will not be disappointed, and I will not take this offer lightly. She furrowed her brow. Featherstar, but-.. I'd love to be deputy, but.. A deputy cannot nurse kits, you know this. What would happen to me should I become pregnant with kits? She looked down sadly. Oh, how badly she wanted kits.. But she couldn't do that if she were to accept the deputy position!

Hmmm. Featherstar paused, deep in thought, Well, since we've been without a deputy for a while I'm sure, if you were to become pregnant, that the clan would be ok with you stepping down until your kits were weaned. Don't you think so? Featherstar did. StoneClan hadn't had a deputy in moons. If Snowstripe were deputy for a while, then step down because of kits, the brown tabby believed that the clan would accept this. It would be simply like it was now.

Then Featherstar? I humbly take this deputy position with hopes that I will do just as good as I have with my warrior position. Thank you for your kindness. She smiled to the she-cat, tail flicking and she bowed her head in respect to her leader, just as she did the day she came here. What progress she had made already!
