Dragonpelt nodded and followed quickly, not wanting to get lost on his first trip into the camp. As he followed Featherstar, he traced the movements with his eyes and his whiskers to remember the path so he would not have to be told again.
When he reached the end he stopped for a moment and took in his surroundings. Stoneclan was well-named. Feeling suddenly out of place, he shifted uneasily and looked to Featherstar to introduce him.

Fernwhisker stepped warily into camp, her eyes wide. So this is Stormclan? She caught sight of a cat nearby and padded slowly towards him, curious. "Are you new to Stoneclan too?" she called, stopping several tail-lengths away.

Dragonpelt looked up at this new voice. He was surprised to see someone greet him so readily, when most cats had left him on his own up until now.
"Yes, I'm new to Stoneclan, just got back from our first gathering...my name is Dragonpelt," he told this cat.

Fernwhisker inclined her head slightly in a gesture of respect. Raising her green gaze once more, she sat and mewed, "Hello, Dragonpelt. I'm Fernwhisker. I literally just joined, so I haven't had a chance to go to any Gatherings."

Dragonpelt sized up this newcomer and decided she would be a worthy ally.
"Oh I see, well you look a fine addition to the ranks," he told her. "I was only brought to the Gathering because Featherstar wanted everyone at the time, so I'm nothing special yet..."

Fernwhisker nodded, meowing, "Me neither-- of course, since I just joined. But I'll try my best, I suppose, and see where that leads me..." Her whiskers twitched and she tilted her head up, musing.

Dragonpelt nodded and smiled at this cat, he liked her demeanor and he thought that perhaps they could be friends.
"You seem a very nice cat, I'm sure you'll make a good warrior...by the way do you know what it takes to become a warrior in this clan...or are we already?" he asked.

You should be already, as long as you've had the experience of fighting and hunting and are past your apprentice-ship already. Snowstripe said, stalking up beside the two cats easily. She flicked her tail, smiling to the two cats. M'name's Snowstripe, if you didn't already know. She continued, seeming at ease around the strangers. Her sage eyes looked upon them, watching them in a dignified manner.

Brindlepaw strutted into the Camp, proudly carrying the chaffinch she had caught, dropping it onto the fresh-kill pile. She wasn't particularly hungry at the moment, leaving it for another. She noticed her mentor, Snowstripe, sitting with some other cats that she didn't know. Well...when you've only been in a Clan for a few days, you can't expect to know everyone. She would make her entrance now. Brindlepaw walked over, a swing in her step and her tail held high, eyes only half-open, her usual expression. She sat down as if with a purpose, making herself known...She wouldn't say anything, timing how long it would take someone to ask who she was.

Snowstripe looked down curiously as her apprentice strutted up beside her. She recognized that expression she wore; it was the one she was wearing when she first waltzed into this camp. She closed her eyes and shook her head. She was proud of her apprentice for a number of reasons, but the kit had a lot to learn.

Dragonpelt noted how Snowstripe shook her head at this apprentice's arrival, but he thought he'd humor her and ask her to introduce herself.
"It's nice to meet you Snowstripe and might this be your apprentice?" he asked her. His bob-tail waved to and fro as he realized how happy he was that the cats here were so friendly.

She looked down at Brindlepaw with a grin. Indeed. This is my apprentice, Brindlepaw. She raised her head at the honor her clan leader had given her. Now, what might your names be? She looked at the cat whom had spoken to her, and the other one opposite her.

Dragonpelt looked to the other warrior, admiration in his eyes.
"My name's Dragonpelt, I'm new here..." he told her.

She smiled to him pleasantly, her tail flicking in a rythmic fashion in beat to the song stuck in her head. Yes, I know. You were not here before I went out for training with young Brindlepaw here.

Brindlepaw kept quiet, amazingly. She sat with her tail waving pleasantly and help her head up proudly. She was glad that her mentor spoke about her with such pride.

She flicked her tail at Brindlepaw and ran the edge of her tail between her ears, almost in a playful fashion. It was a kitty version of a noogie. But the approach was soft as she looked at her and smiled, but she let her tail drop and curl around her dainty paws, and she looked back at the other cats.

Good. I see that you have all met. Featherstar had padded up to the talking cats without a sound. I would like to say that all who are sitting here will be coming to the Gathering. Dragonpelt, Snowstripe, Brindlepaw, and Fernwhisker. Oh, and when you next see Loveless or Pinepaw, tell them that they are coming as well. Featherstar now sat quietly. She'd let them continue with their conversation now that she was done. //Don't worry guy, FrostEye should be back from Japan by the next Gathering. People might get suspicious if he missed three.

Snowstripe nodded in acceptance. They were out training; she'd tell them when they returned. She smiled to Brindlepaw; she was going to her first gathering! It was Snowstripe's second, but she looked forward to it all the same. She turned to look at Featherstar then returned her gaze to the other cats, smiling.

Dragonpelt was thrilled to hear he was going to the next gathering, but it felt as though he had just returned from the previous one.
"Snowstripe...what do I have to do to be a mentor?" he asked her politely.

She looked over at Dragonpelt, ears flicking curiosly. Prove to Featherstar that you are worthy to be a mentor. Find a kit around here who'll take you as a mentor. Snowstripe said calmly, sage eyes softly blinking, and she smiled pleasantly to him. Here was a cat whom was respectful to her!
Not to say she'd yet come across problems with any cat so far, in the respect department. She demanded respect; her flaw, her downfall. But she was growing fond of him, as was the rest of the clan.
