Autumnclaw trudged up the slope towards the supposed StoneClan. It had once been his ultimate dream. He looked back at his father, Mudstreak. He seemed as weary as Autumnclaw. He looked up at his brother Oaksnout, who's boundless energy and curiosity had him put his nose in a big flower. How much farther? he asked his father
Oaksnout sneezed himself out of the flower. Auddem'kwah! Auddem'kwah see flower! It smells FUNNEH! He ran up to Autumnclaw and gave him a huge lick. He stopped mid-brotherly-lovin' and cocked his head I smell cat
Yes, it shouldn't be far now said Mudstreak. Please StoneClan he thought Don't fail me. My boys need a home. Mudstreak just wondered if they'd accept a dog.

OOC: I think you guys just shocked Featherstar to death! Featherstar nearly fell off the boulder she sat on at the sight before her. Traveling below, slightly in the distance, were three creatures. This wasn't unusual. Her pink nose took in their unfamiliar scent and even that didn't really set her off. What made her mouth drop, only slightly, she was still a leader, was that one of the creatures was a dog! A kit, or whatever young dogs were called, but still a dog. This puzzled her. Acting on instinct, the sandy-striped feline leaped off her post on the rock and pretty much bolted over to the intruders. And might I ask why two rouge toms have brought a dog into StoneClan territory? even the gentle leader couldn't keep the suspicion out of her tone. It was just too weird.

Mudstreak dipped his head respectfully. I apologize to have startled you, warrior of StoneClan. The "dog" is my adopted son. My two sons and I want to join your clan. None of us are looking to harm anyone. Mudstreak shifted self-conciously. Please, ma'am, Oaksnout is really just a big cat! He's never been violent toward another cat in his life- he can even hunt! He couldn't help the note of pride there; getting Oaksnout to be stealthy had been a great challenge, but the beagle could contribute to a clan. He heard a quiet snarl. Mudstreak turned, alarmed. Maybe Oaksnout wasn't the son he had to worry about. Autumnclaw...
Autumnclaw forced himself to calm down. The hair on his neck slowly lowered. Nobody, not nobody, he said quietly, calls my little brother a common dog, Clan cat or not. What a joke. Autumnclaw's "little brother" was easily half his size again. He quieted down some. I apologize for my rudeness.
Oaksnout knew by the tones in the cat's voices that he should be quiet and still. But it was hard. He wiggled a bit. And then a bit more. Finally, he could hold it no longer.
Oaksnout shot forward towards the she-cat. Just in front of her, he tried to stop. Instead he skidded forward and onto his back, landing right at Featherstar's feet. He gave her the very most sweetest smile. Hi lady!

Featherstar raised an eyebrow at the older tom's explanation of the dog, Oaksnout. surely there wasn't a dog that could be as good a hunter as a silent cat. He sure is cute, she laughed to herself when the pup greeted her with the cute grin. I'm sorry Autumnclaw, but I've just never seen a dog traveling with cats before. I won't call him a dog with disrespect again. Then she turned back to the pup at her feet, Hello, little one.

Hiiiii! said Oaksnout. The lady cat was nice. Oaksnout stumbled to his feet and looked over his shoulder at his father. Da! We live here now? With lady cat? He began to pant.
Well we don't know yet, said Autumnclaw calmly. That depends on the "lady cat." He dipped his head respectfully. He shouldn't have blown up at her. But he could still see her skepticism. Well they'd show her in time. They were just as good as any clanborn cat.
OOC: By the way, Oaksnout is not quite a puppy. He's really i the upper end of the apprentice age.

Featherstar smiled once again at the dog, he was cute. She had to admit that.I would certainly like you and your family to stay Oaksnout, but I will have to ask the rest of the Clan. A good leader must be respective of her Clan's ideas. But don't worry, the final decision is mine alone. The brown she-cat had a pretty good feeling that if the rest of the Clan would accept the dog, he'd become a part of the Clan. She doubted they would have a problem with Autumnclaw and...
I'm sorry sir. she apologized to the boys' father, But I never got your name. What is it?

Another respectful head dip came from Mudstreak. My name is Mudstreak... I'm sorry, we didn't catch your name either. But Mudstreak hadn't missed the "leader" part... ...and neither had Autumnclaw. So he'd talked that way to a leader; he knew that that was bad. But right now he didn't think that was a problem. The she-cat seemed fair, and she had said that she wanted them to be a part of the clan. This made him feel better than he had in a long time. The day suddenly seemed brighter, and he was less tired. He had a new chance; he vowed he wouldn't fail his clan the way he had his mother.OOC: Whoops, forgot I was on Juniper's account.

Ah yes, forgive me. My name is Featherstar. The StoneClan she-cat bowed her head to Mudstreak. She was still respective of her elders. Though Mudstreak seemed to be young for an elder, he was still older than the young leader. She also noticed the younger tom, Autumnclaw, brighten up. So, she invited, would you three like to accompany me back to the StoneClan camp? I believe the other clan members would like to meet you. She then began to trot off in the direction of the camp. They'll follow.

Weee! said Oaksnout, and he bounded after Featherstar. We go with Feather-lady cat!
I suppose we do thought Autumnclaw, trotting after Featherstar and his brother. He wondered if he'd have to impress any Clan cats to show he was worthy. Naw, he thought It'll probably be O.K... But he could feel a growing sense of apprehension...
And so could Mudstreak, bringing up the rear. He hoped that they wouldn't have to run out of here with cats hissing on their tails. Again.
