Rainheart shyly approached a rocky slope. It had very sharp looking rocks,as if they were a fence. Rainheart had heard of these clans. She wondered if they were like her father had described.Suddenly,she noticed a cat-like shape coming toward her direction. maybe this is one of the Clan cats! she thought excitedly. Rainheart padded over to the stranger.

Featherstar had simply been taking a walk when she saw a she cat padding eagerly towards her. She was surprised, usually she went to the loners, not the other way around. She figured that the cat was looking for a home and decided to help her out. Featherstar closed the remaining distance between them and asked, Is there something that I can do for you loner? Her voice was kind, gentle. It was only a question.

Featherstar was a kind cat but she wanted to make sure this loner she-cat meant her clan no harm. Clan duty came above everything with the brown leader.

Featherstar laughed. No, you don't have to take a test. But, her voice suddenly grew serious, do you know anything about fighting? If you don't we might have to get you a mentor, unless, you think that there is something else that you can do in the clan?

I see. Featherstar thought aloud. Well, I guess you can watch the other warriors and go out training with they and their apprentices. That way you won't be an apprentice, but can still ask questions. How does that sound? Good? Well, if it does, would you like to follow me back to camp? The dark brown she-cat then turned and began to pad slowly away from the other. She could follow Featherstar to the camp, or talk and the leader would still hear, if she wished. Oh, I'm sorry, Featherstar paused, what is your name? I'm sorry I didn't ask before.
