Even though she was in unfamiliar territory, the small white and grey kit was dancing happily about, as if it was the middle of newleaf with not a care in the world. I like a chi-chi-chi-chirone like they make back home or a healthy fish with a big back-bone...She then proceeded to shimmy backwards, tail raised. 'Cause I'm Abraham Delacey! Shimmy to the left. Geosepe Kayce! Rump waggle. Thomas O'Malley! Strut Strut. O'Malley the alley cat! Even though she was just a kit, she had an amazing ability to remember lyrics and put them into her own little dance. Her petite little paws carried her lightly as if a ballerina. Her strutting gate emphasized as she hummed her tune and swung her head from side to side, not going anywhere in particular.
A sudden chaffinch alarm-call trilled loud and clear, it was like a cue for her. Heh. She then broke out in song once again;
Down at an English fair!
One evening I was there!
When I heard a showman, down beneath the square!
Singin'
I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts!
There they are all standing in a rooooow!
Big ones!
Small ones!
Some as big as your head!
A bit of a twist, a flick of the wrist
That's what the showman said!

Her song was drowned out by the sound of wind through trees, but she sang on, oh boy did she sing.

The StoneClan leader pricked her ears. Was that singing that she heard? Yes, it was. It was then that Featherstar saw a small gray and white kit dancing in the grass. The brown she-cat padded over gently and observed, You have some very interesting dance moves. She did this trying to keep from busting out laughing at the kit's antics. It might offend the her.

The kit didnt stop dancing as the she-cat approached, just looked over her shoulder and smiled, I could teach you if you wanted. She had a bright expression on her face, then she closed her eyes and began prancing about, shimmying and strutting as if on a dance-floor, in the spotlight. She opened one eye and grinned again, Taking notes? She giggled.

The one eye grin did it. Featherstar burst out laughing, a very un-leaderlike thing to do but the she-cat doubted the kit would care. Of course, she chuckled when she could speak again. Growing more serious, but not too much, she asked, What are you doing here kit? Are you in need of a home? Lost? Or just wandering? The brown tabby hit all the basic points for kits wandering on her territory. Especially singing, dancing kits.

Jadekit opened both eyes now and smiled from ear to ear, she seemed pleased that the leader laughed. She sat down, her tail not staying still and her head slightly bobbing, I dont have a home, see. An' I'd be glad to live anywhere that's in need of some entertainment. Her voice was a pretty one; slightly squeaky like a kit's should be, but definately good for singing. Her eyes twinkled brightly, The name's Jadekit! Some call me Lafayette...she looked thoughtful for a moment. Dunno why, but they does anyway!

Well, I'll call you Jadekit, StoneClan could sure use some good entertainment. I would be happy if you joined our Clan. Featherstar smiled at the small bundle and thought that this would be the Clan's first singing apprentice. When she could be one. But Jadekit, I must tell you, if you join our Clan, you must be willing to learn to hunt, fight, and become a warrior with pride and dignity. That is what StoneClan is known for. Our dignity. Would you be willing to work hard as well as play? Featherstar's tone was now serious, wondering if the playful kit would be an asset to the warrior ranks as well as a jester for the Clan.

[Bovine]

Jadekit sat and curled her tail over her paws, looking quite lady-like. She spoke with her back straightened and head held high. Well, sure I will ma'am. I'm quite dig'n'ified mehself...and I wouldn' do anything that'd make the Clan tha' brought me in, look like a bunch o' stupid Twolegs. Not purposeful-like. Not me. She shook her head from side to side, to show her seriousness.

Well then you dignigied kit you, Featherstar smiled, why don't you follow me back to StoneClan's camp, and your new home? Featherstar turned and padded off in the direction of the rock maze, trusting her entertainment to follow.

Aye Aye!
She stood at attention and thrust her paw to her forehead, her face mooshed to look like a serious soldier, marching along after her new leader. After a moment or two, she smiled again, giggling as she skipped along to through the Rock Maze and to the Main Camp.
