Teppobeat had been unusually quiet through this whole thing, info-processing. His yellow eyes widened a bit; he didn't much care for so much solemness in one go. And he didn't like the way that Shangsword had spoken to Amberstar, dead bro or no. If he hadn't wanted any sympathy at all, then why be in a clan. that was what they did, whether you liked it or not. He remembered from when he was a kit and he knew it now. He was about to say as much, being Teppo, but also because of that the thought left his mind as soon as Shinzui had spoken about Kaze. "So we get new apprentices and new warriors? That'll be good for the battle!" It was easy to get revved up about that. Who didn't love to win a fight?

Friendliness? It was quite apparent that such a notion bothered, even frightened, the tom. His previous clan hadn’t been the kindest bunch – and since he and his brother weren’t born in the clan they were treated even harsher than any other cat.
He was a good warrior – strong and skilled. But emotional?
More negative than anything else, true. But they’ve yet to become his friend.
There was quite a surprise in fact, to any cat who succeeded in that.

“He’s the one making the mistake.”
Fur bristling, the black tom stared for a long moment at Shangsword. Dislike? Oh ho, Blackheart didn’t like any cat who dared to speak to her leader and close friend in such a manner. But Amberstar’s touch did wonders; it calmed his warrior’s rage for enough time so that he sat back instead.
Shangsword had much to prove.
“If we have any young ones needing apprenticing save for young Kaze there, I would be honored to assist.”
Of course, this was not surprising, Blackheart gave his heart and soul to the clan. Yellow eyes flicked, looking to Maplepaw.
“I am proud of you.”
The gaze moved, falling on Onyxpelt.
“Both of you.”

Her son…the leader’s apprentice?!
Oh, Shinzui’s gentle heart burst with sheer pride for her son. Kaze sat silently by his mother, so silently as always, but the brightness that light up his blue eyes clearly showed the happiness that beamed from Amberstar’s words.

Lucky frowned and a small growl appeared in her throat. Her speach just seemed to have caused problems! Ah well... it was too late now... The golden cats tail flicked angrily, the green band on her tail waving a retreat.

[glow=brown,5,500]Takumi trailed the golden belle, leaving a body length between them, preserving the she-cat’s modesty. She made it quiet clear of her interests, and though he thought she was quiet pretty, he still obeyed the code of his own tribe, and thus, remained politely aloof to her advances. Even so, his sapphire gaze, cooled by a tinge of gray, often strayed to the cloth bound tightly around her tail, thinking quietly to himself. According to the cloth, which was green with brown stripes running through it, this she-cat was a to-be healer. This was significant enough to raise a few questions and answers as well. For one, it was extremely rare for any female to hold a significant place among her tribe, a healer being one of them. The only power a queen could have was only given to her through her mate, often because she bred many sons. Of course, there have been some cases other than this, but generally speaking, females in important positions were not something you heard of often. Secondly, there was hardly any trace of the Siamese blood in her. True, she could be an illegitimate daughter of some foreigner, but that would disagree to the position she held. So she must be a daughter of a Foreign cat who had settled into their tribe. He must have gained important standing for her to be allowed to be a to-be healer. Interestingly enough, Takumi was sure he heard of her sire, but he wasn’t about to say anything yet, it was much too soon, and it would be improper to be probing into her past.
Looking forward, Takumi reflected of his own orange cloth, which was currently wrapped around his head, the tails waving behind as he retained a steady pace with the golden she-cat. It’s location told that he was a warrior, it’s color meaning of high rank. His troop or band of warriors were lead by the Chief General, the Emperor’s most experienced warrior, and often the leader and planner of wars… with the Emperor’s consent of course. The Emperor himself had his own band, what could be regarded as a mix of special agents, as well as samurai and other martial art master’s and senseis. Takumi’s own sensei, a once pupil of the Chief General, was a master of many of the Tribe’s techniques, and the Chief General’s favorite to-be until his sensei was promoted, and Takumi took his place. The Chief General was his other sensei, a privilege of his tribe. From him he learned the battle strategies and other such tidbits. All he needed was another winter’s worth of moons before he’d be promoted himself… But instead he was here… His ancestors must have had something great planned for him if they were to lose the chance of bringing his family the highest honor a common-born cat could achieve.
Brown paws set firmly on the paw-packed earth of the camp. Blue-gray eyes flicked like fish tails, catching the movement of the tribal cats. The Empress, Amberstar, was on a ?rock? set in the middle of the shaded camp. Large, ancient trees guarded the camp boundary, their old gnarled roots wrapping tightly around each other before disappearing into the fertile soil below. The light that filtered through the boughs of the trees speckled the pelts of the Tribe, Amberstar among them. Following the green wrapped tail, Takumi walked right into the throng of cats. Where as the golden she-cat kept walking to the front, Takumi remained in the back, and it wasn’t for being shy, but simply because the outskirts is where those of low-class, low-rank tribe cats sit. Being new, and a visitor, the front would be explicitly forbidden to him. He would just inquire to what was being said later to the Japanese translating she-cat.
Takumi, once watching Amberstar, and then the she-cat speak to the tribe (something that he noted that the she-cat must also be of high-rank to this tribe), felt a particularly strong stare upon his fur. Sapphire eyes flickered down, large ears pricking to pick up what was being said. His eyes continued to patrol the mass till they fell upon a golden warrior situated near the front. Noting this, Takumi stared, eye to eye, with the tom; yellow irises that caught the dappling of sunlight overhead, turning them into a very vivid shade of gold. For several seconds neither of them broke eye contact, until, finally, Takumi bobbed his head, initiating a nod from the tom. Returning his gaze to the Empress and the healer to-be, Takumi settled, having recognized the tom from a previous, rather unconventional, meeting. Oddly enough, Takumi felt drawn to the warrior like a swan to the flock. He knew, from their previous meet, that the golden tom was an honorable warrior. Like binds to like. Kind stays with kind. It was the way of things, as it was the way of honor-bearing warriors to associate with others. Blinking, slowly, Takumi wondered if he found a familiarity among the mass of strangeness throughout the way.
Even so, out of this strangeness arose something faintly familiar. A cat, male, whose pelt was the shade of many grains of sand and smelling of them himself, stood among their number. Takumi, unfamiliar with the passing of words, understood the emotions reflecting throughout him... the crowd. Instinctively, as he would have done from members of his own tribe, voiced.[/glow]

Lucky looked to Takumi, her new friend. He looked a bit... perplexed. His orange band flew in the wind and its brown strands hit her in the face. She had to scoot away a bit before brining up the question, "Takumi‚ð³‘ø‚·‚é‚©B Ž„’B‚Í‚±‚̉̌ã‚Å‚Ù‚µ‚¯‚ê‚ΊF‚ɉï‚Á‚Ä‚à‚¢‚¢B ‚È‚º‚©‘O•”‚É—ˆ‚éA ‚»‚¤‚æ‚è‚æ‚•·‚‚±‚Æ‚ª‚Å‚«‚é‚©B Ž„‚Í‚ ‚È‚½‚Ì‚½‚ß‚É”L‚ªŒ¾‚Á‚Ä‚¢‚邱‚Æ‚ðŽ„‚Éq‚Ë‚ê‚Ζ|–ó‚·‚é"
The golden she-cat got up, her pink eyes fixed on him in a loving way as she would attempt to lead him to the front of the crowd. No cat could hear from back here!
Ooc: Translation: You ok Takumi? We can meet everyone after this meeting if you want. Why don't you come to the front, so you can hear better? I'll translate for you if you ask me what cats are saying!

Blackheart had told him that he was proud. Maplepaw's heart swelled, and he suddenly had an idea for his warrior name. He was certainly at home in the forest, and the single sugar maple tree from his home in the north which he was named for would always stick about in his mind. The most sensible name would likely be Mapleheart. What a noble one it seemed.
Later on he would surely get to know all of these newcomers that had seemed to pop up out of the blue, but at the moment his warriorship was too hard on his mind. He shot a quick glance at Onyxpelt and gave a warm, excited smile.

Sunpelt, as always, was the silent observer to the procedings, watching the clan cats with a look of approval. Sunpelt knew that all these cats would follow Amberstar to the death, no matter what she chose. This, among other things, was important to the clan, and to the clan\'s future with the war coming forth...
Flicker\'s of movement caught the tom\'s eye. As he turned, he blinked away the sudden light that poured from one of the many holes in the tree\'s canopy. When his vision cleared, Sunpelt recognized the cat with the woven band around his head. He stiffened at first, eyes flicking about, expecting the troublesome Giddypaw to return... but there was no one else... No one else but a striking she-cat with a golden pelt like his own. Upon her tail wrapped another woven band, this one marked with green and brown stripes... It was interesting, the way these two seemed to have something in common... Sunpelt returned his attention back to the tom, and for several long moments the two exchanged eye contact, before they accepted each other.
***
Sunpelt, returning his attention back to Amberstar, listened as she continued the meeting. As she finished with the naming ceremony of the clan\'s two apprentices, Sunpelt, among a few others, took up the chant of the warriors names. When the voices subsided, Sunpelt personally congradulated Maplepa... Mapleheart and Onyxdart, before he sauntered over to Blackheart. \"Blackheart\" he began, \"What are your plans for the dusk patrol?\"
*** After the following posts from Amberstar and Onyxpelt... Sorry... Too lazy to type a new one. ^_^

Amberstar looked up as well to the falling light; it hit her pelt at just the right angle to let her pelt sparkle with the coppery color that she was so well known for.
She turned to look at the two young cats at her feet below the rock, tail flicking and closing her eyes.
Now that both cats have joined me, let the ceremony begin...
Onyxpelt, my own apprentice, you have grown much since you first arrived here. I've taken you under my wings of Starclan, and I now grant you full permission to become of ranks with Us.
As a former Treeclan apprentice, I shall now set upon you the name Onyxdart. She closed her eyes, turned her head, and opened them to gaze at her deputy's apprentice.
Maplepaw, you came to this clan with much potential in your heart. I now give you permission to reach for that potential with as much as you may take it.
I now set upon you the name Mapleheart, she said, as if reading the young kit's mind. You must both attend a short hunting trip with me, as ceremony to your warriorship.
With that, she leapt down, tail flicking curtly.
Normally the ceremony was to stay up a night on patrol without speaking, but I figure we never sleep anyways and I wanted to be creative. ^^ It may not have to be for a while, but it still sounds like a fun RP.
Also, to Onyx, i'm sorry if you don't like the name. ^^; It sounded nice, so I put it down, seeing how you wanted a name change but I don't recall discussing the names with you.. o_0
But if I copy the name (something-dart) don't freak. Meluffs that name. owo

I like it just fine! I remember we noted about names once, but as I've forgotten what the name was, that's chill. Onyxdart's an awesome name!
Onyx didn't know what to say to Blackheart, not used to having people being proud of her, so she smiled slightly and nodded her head in thanks for his words.
Then she saw Maplepaw look over at her and smile, and she grinned back, picking up on the other apprentice's excitement. They were going to be warriors! The idea was almost enough to make Onyx giggly. Almost. The smile dropped for one nervous moment as she was singled out with her new name.
After Amberstar had announced both apprentice's new names, the grin reappeared on Onyx's muzzle. Onyxdart! She liked that name.
"Thank you, Amberstar," she said sincerely, and then stood, waiting to follow her leader to hunting.

Although Shinzui’s pretty soft voice took up the warrior’s chant as well, she mentally fretted. Oh goodness, would Amberstar remember her not so little anymore Kaze? But she was happy, that was clear, as her orange eyes looked up at her leader with loyalty and pure pride.

The black deputy had already thought of this. He smiled slightly, after he finished with the chant, yellow eyes shifting to land upon the figure of Sunpelt. The large tom sat up, raising his voice so that he could be heard.
“When all ceremonies have been completed, and Amberstar leader our two newest warriors out on their hunt, I would like for you, Shinzui, and Teppobeat to join me on the dusk patrol. In particular, I want for us to patrol the deeper forest – there have been hints of foxes beginning to lair there that we may need to chase off. We also need to keep our eyes out for any rogue invaders, in particular scouts from Boneclan.”

[glow=brown,5,500] Perplexed was an understatement for poor Takumi. He was downright confused, struggling to make out the meanings of their language was a bit much, on top of trying to understand their society was a double whammy to his cranium... Even so... Takumi was always up to learn something new, and now with a readily available translator on hand, he could... Yet he was hesitant... He honestly didn\'t want to sit up front. He felt out of place as it is, but to be in the direct vision of others he\'d feel even more so. He\'d druther stay here.[/glow] \"Ž„‚ÍŒö³‚È”±‹àAŽ¸”s‚ð•·‚‚±‚Æ‚ª‚Å‚«‚é... ‚µ‚©‚µŽ„‚Í–|–ó‚ð... ’¸‚\"* [glow=brown] Takumi then turned to the Empress, watching her and the proceedings. He was most curious here, for it seemed to him that two cats were being addressed, and honored for some reason. Looking among the crowd, he identified them by their actions and the fact that the cats were watching them expectantly. Feeling honored to be allowed to witness such a ritualistic thing, Takumi, twitched his tail, watching the cats for a while before turning to the golden she-cat for a translation. Once she was done, Takumi would then look to the golden warrior, who had moved next to a black warrior.
Takumi, feeling compelled to do this, stood up and followed the warrior, waiting a polite distance for their conversation to cease. He sat, waiting for that time to come...[/glow] *I can hear just fine, miss... But I would like a translation...

Lucky was about to give Takumi a proposition, but she saw the look on his face. "mistifiedŽ„‚Ì—Fl‚ðŒ©‚éB ‚»‚ê‚ç‚Ì”L‚Í‚»‚±‚É’I‚Å‚¿‚傤‚ÇíŽm‚É‚È‚³‚ꂽ!"
Not wanting to translate everything, she told the siamese her proposition, "Ž„‚Í‚æ‚¢‰½‚©‚ð‚æ‚è–|–ó‚·‚é‚·‚é: Ž„‚͉pŒê‚ð‹³‚¦‚é!" With that, Lucky quietly got up, waiting for Takumi to follow, so they could start their first lesson. The green band on the gold tabby's tail flew high in the wind, dancing right along with the tail in excitement.
Ooc: You look mistified my friend. Those cats up there on the ledge have just been made Warriors!
I'll do something even better than translate: I'll teach you English!

Sunpelt nodded his acceptance to Blackheart\'s plans. Not even a smidget of disapproval reflecting in his golden gaze, as he turned to walk away... only to see the cat that had accompanied Giddykit the day he left. Sunpelt sat back down, figuring this would be at least some time as he talked to this cat about Giddykit. However, he would be completely surprised by the speach that would spout from his lips... Obviously Sunpelt isn\'t fluent in Japanese.

Teppo nodded to Blackeart. "Foxes and rouges. Gotcha." Patrols were always good, but he was somewhat distracted. He hurried up to Onyxdart before she left. "Congrats Onyx!" he said. "Cool names! And now that you're a warrior, you can...." He looked around, and pointed to the warrior's den with his tail. "Sleep over there!" He chuckled at his own joke. Before she could answer, he trotted away again. "Bye!"
Teppobeat came up to Blackheart again. "So the deep forest, huh? Think we'll catch any BoneClanners?"
