Rivercloud trotted along the edge of what seemed to be a Clan's territory. Her ears and nose were alert as she paced back and forth. Along her travels here, she had run into Desertfox and Shadowclaw. Both had long left the Clan as they had told her. They wanted her to come with them but she had politely declined their invitation, telling them that she didn't want to be lured into a Clan where she would need to be made a warrior when she was herself a Medicine Cat. They had left her at that and that was the last she had seen of them.
She kept at a brisk trot, pacing back and forth. Her mouth was ajar and the fresh scents of cats came to her. Her excitement all but rose. She had fresh hopes that this Clan was in need of a medicine cat. Her mother had taught her to never stop hoping because without it life wouldn't get anywhere. She sat down, looking around, her blue eyes glittering. Just maybe, maybe she would find a home here and be renamed a medicine cat once more.

The cat seemed to drop out of the sky as she landed in front of Rivercloud, tail swaying briskly over the deep earth. She'd merely jumped from the trees above the boundaries. Her amber fur fell like rain about her frame, and her watching gold eyes seemed to only add to her dignified air. She breathed in the scent of the new cat, watching her curiously.
I'm Amberstar, Leader of Treeclan. State your business here, stranger. Her voice was soft but sharp, and it was stated in a friendly sort of way. It was not at all meant to be mean; simply firm. Her tail brushed her silky flanks, waiting for a response.

Rivercloud started slightly, watching the new cat. Her eyes flicked over the amber she-cat. "I am Rivercloud, a medicine cat from another Clan; a Clan that has long been deceased," she meowed respectfully. "I am looking for a new place to continue my work." She still stood, her tail tip twitching. She knew she was not fit as a warrior. She did not possess the strength nor the proper abilities.
Her gaze never left the amber feline, ears flicked forward. "That is my business here."

She narrowed her eyes warily, watching the she-cat. She refused to tell Amberstar her business here? Fine. She wouldn't question her until she was ready to reveal her past to the young leader. She bowed her head respectfully. She couldn't, and wouldn't turn down a stray looking for a home. New members were hard enough to find as it was, and the medicine cat could use an apprentice.
Then I shall accept you into Treeclan. I will see what I can do to make you comfortable, and see to it that you become the Medicine cat apprentice. She looked into her eyes; her own were sharp, cunning, if not a little intimidating. However, in return to my letting you in as a member, you must abide by the Warrior code. Respect the cats, respect me, and oblige what I or the Medicine cat tells you. Her expression softened as she flicked her tail in the direction of the camp, motioning her to follow.

Rivercloud nodded her head. "Thank you," she meowed quietly. Apprentice? she thought. But it didn't faze her. She got ready to follow the leader to the Camp and to meet the Medicine Cat, to become that cat's apprentice. Listening was something her mother had taught her as a kit, to listen and to keep listening. Information was valuable, and if you kept your ears pricked, your internal questions could be answered. She would respect the other cats, the leader, and the Medicine Cat, listening to them as well. She looked up at the sky quickly then back at Amberstar, waiting for the order to leave the area and go to the camp. I have a home now, she thought happily.

You will do good to the clan if you continue to respect those around you. She said softly, carrying herself with pride. She expertly stalked the path back to the clan, tail flipping easily. Treeclan Camp is this way. It will do you good if when you get to the camp, explore the terrain. Get used to it, so it helps if we ever find ourselves in danger She said this not to scare Rivercloud, but to keep her head up if anything ever happened.
She personally would not go into battle, but dodging attacks and so on would help if she were to follow the steps, lest she get an emergency 'out of camp' call.

The silver tabby nodded her head in understanding. With a new home comes the need to explore. Learn what you need to about the land before you embark on it fully. She bowed her head to the Clan leader. "I would not so easily disrespect someone unless I found a proper reason which even then that could be questionable." She followed the she-cat, listening to her words, keeping her ears pricked. 'Danger? Why...isn't that what the trees are for? To keep danger just a step behind?' she thought to herself, not speaking these words out loud or letting them linger on her eyes.

C'mon then! She said, turning around quietly and padding towards main camp.
{To Main Camp}
