IC: Hazelpelt ventured away from the River to wards the Forrest. Stomach was growling from the Prey scent that came from the Forrest but the fur on her spine stood on end as she scented the marks of many cats. She decided not to cross the borders for now. Hazelpelt was still weak from escaping the Two-legs. She remembered when she was only 4 moons old a two-leg kit stole her while her mother was away hunting. It has been horrible. Eating the dry slop the kit feed her sleeping by herself and being copped in the kits nest. It was only a few days ago that she finally raced through the door as the kit went outside. Since then Hazelpelt just started to follow the River so at least she would have something to drink. For now she is just tired so she decided to hide in the empty old Foxhole she found.

Amberstar ventured down the river, tail held high in alert dignity and grace that only a leader could possess, or one very pompous. She marched on, taking on a rythmic and rather slow gate, pausing as she scented fox.
It was stale...
But..
Something new replaced it..
cat..
Her eyes widened. Had the fox taken a kit? It couldn't have been from Treeclan. No mothers had run howling in agony to her in recent days, and it wasn't Treeclan scent. She cautiously stepped forward, eyes adjusting quickly to the dark.
And then she saw it, eyes keen to watching her every move. "You, my dear, appear to be in a foxhole, and you are a cat." She stated bluntly, moving out of the way for the kit to exit. "You don't belong here in a foxhole, young one. Come." She said softly, no motions of aggresion or anger written in the fibers that made her auburn-amber pelt.

Hazelpelt looked upon the approaching cat cautiously but also curiously. There was dignity and a sense of authority to this cat. As that she-cat finished talking Hazelpelt dipped her head and mumbled: " I have been on the run from two-legs and there was no where for me to go then to this stench ridden foxhole". She looked into the others cats eyes and for some reason she trusted her and went on: " I would be *honert to come with you but please tell me where are you taking me and who are you?".

((No worries! At least you gave it a shot. It's honored.))
"Ah, my apologies for my absense in manners. I am Amberstar, leader of this here Treeclan, where I am taking you to find shelter from Twolegs and anything else that may come to harm you." She inclined her head and peered at the young kit.
"Perhaps you know of the ways of clans? I give you food, shelter, and anything else that may find pleasing to you, and in return I want your honesty and allegiance, and hard-working attitude towards helping other cats and your clans. You understand, don't you?" She inquisited, trotting away to lead her onwards. She paused.
"Unless you may not find Clan life suited to you. There are many cats who choose the other path, one with freedom and independence."

Hazepelt dipped her Head and replied "I would be honert to learn your noble ways but I am afraid there will be lots you have to teach." Her eyes sparkled with anticipation of the things Amberstar was offering to her.

Amberstar smiled in spite of the young cats anxiousness to begin already. She showed spirit..
Amberstar liked that.
"Not to worry, Hazelpelt. Many come through my lands and must learn the clan ways. Don't worry, you'll pick it up soon enough. Who knows, maybe you can meet a friend or two to help you out?" She asked calmly, pivoting on the pads of her toes. "Follow me!" She said in a bright, sing-song voice.
